I have a GS3, and i really like the software so i don't want to install CM10 or 9 just to get this feature. I'm currently using poweramp. is there anyways i can change songs with the volume buttons?

So I just recently started having this annoying bug in Google Music on my phone where after each song, the media volume resets to max for the next song.

I never, ever use them, other than to put the volume backup having accidentally depressed volume down! If there's any kind of app or tweak that will disable them that would be great. The only caveat is that my device isn't rooted.

I have the Samsung Galaxy Note II (AT&T), and i have not rooted it or put any custom ROMs or whatever onto it. i have been using the music player app that came with the device. (not the google play one that looks like headphones, the app that i use is a blue and white circle with a blue play symbol in the middle and a green musical note on the right side. just for reference) i just added a playlist, expecting the songs to be in the order that they were when i made the playlist in Kies. however, they were actually in alphabetical order and had numbers next to them (01, for example). i would like to be able to change the order somehow, or sync it so that the songs appear in the order they are in on kies.
View 1 Replies View Relatedi have a nexus 5, i listen new music on my car using that phone, i would like to have an app that turns on the screen with the name of the artist-song im listening to.. for example if im listening to rancid-time bomb, i want the screen to tell me that for about 5 or 10 seconds.. then if another song starts then the screen should turn on and tell me that im listening to other artist other song. do you know an app or xposed module that allows to do this? are you an app developer than dares to create this kind of app?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a strange problem after using cm10 for a few weeks. suddenly my home and volume buttons aren't working most of the time. When I want to decrearse/increase volume and press the volume button (no matter if i press it fast again and again or if i wait a few second between pressing) it only goes one step louder every 5 seconds. Also when I want to lower volume. i also cant use cwm recovery cause my home button only works maybe once per hour. Now I have twrp touch recovery.
What i tried:
- wiped everything several times
- flashed gb and ics stock firmwares
- flashed different kernels
On my old BB you could press the volume button to switch to the next song. It seems to be a bit of a pain to have to wake your phone up, unlock it and go to the music app and press >>. Anyone know of any apps that let you do that?
View 2 Replies View RelatedAfter installing cwm recovery twice, now my tablet(micromax fun book pro)does not boot..it only goes in recovery mode on starting...Major problem is, in this recovery mode my volume keys have stopped working , only power button works for for selecting 1st option I.e reboot.
So unable to do anything, can't even select a ROM backup that I have in SD card..
On one page of my app there are sounds. Is there a line of code to allow the volume up/down buttons to switch to media volume control for that page of the app only? Or do I need to set it for the entire app, and how do I do that?

From the image, I tried changing the boxed text from '<item name="textColor">@color/primary_text_holo_light</item>', and creating my own drawable xml file to link it with that. Color change seems successful, but it also affects other holo white buttons as well (see image). I don't want it to happen, for it renders those buttons unreadable.

Change Volume on a per App basis.
Sometimes it is annoying, that all Media Apps like Games, Music and such, have the same volume. Therefore, a tweak that lets you preset a certain volume for an App, would be a perfect solution.
The Volume Rocker would then act as a MainMix instead of a master level.
I've been using this phone for a days now and I'm a bit annoyed that the volume buttons seems loose already especially the down button.

Every time I press the Volume rocker, the volume change bar keeps on the screen for five seconds. In my opinion are two seconds enough.

The only issue I have is I keep bumping the volume buttons. Why don't they have an option to Lock the volume by pushing both buttons at one time? Push both of item again and but unlocks the volume.

1. increase media / ringtone volume
2. pass the event to my application

my phone is Samsung Galaxy Mini which is a ldpi device which now runs on an ICS rom. I am trying to change the color for the brightness sliders and volume sliders. Which .xml need to be edited to change the colour..
I decompiled framework-res.apk and changed hex color values under @id/ progress and @id/secondary progress in "progress_horizontal.xml", also changed colors of few pngs in drawable-mdpi in framework,now the progress seek bar has changed the color,but brightness slider color remains the same.
I then decompiled systemui.apk and changed the hex color values under @id/progress in "adi_seekbar.xml",but nothing got changed..
Which .xml is associated with the seek bar for brightness and volume slider? Or should i deal with smali files to change the color of brighntness slider and volume slider..
Can anybody test and see if the following is possible on Incredible handset. Makes the camera a LOT more usable for Evo and I am hoping to upgrade soon :

I've had the Telus Desire for just under a week now and everything about the phone was working great until yesterday when the side volume buttons just stopped working. I can't adjust the ringer volume on my home screens, or the media volume when I'm running any apps or the in call volume either. I feel like I've accidentally triggered some volume lock, but I've searched for answers and come up empty. Does anyone have any ideas as to what happened or how I can solve this? They were working just fine up until yesterday, and I don't believe I installed or changed anything since the buttons were working.

View 4 Replies View RelatedThe volume buttons/rocker on my phone does not allow me to change to media only. If no media is playing it only changes the ringer volume.
Imagine this setting, in my car I have volume all the way up, I get out of car and put on headphones, volume is too loud. I ether play music to where my ears bust or I go into settings and change the volume there. When I try to turn it down immediately, it changes the ringer until I let that volume display disappear. Which means I'm stuck listening to it too loud until I let it disappear to where I can change the media volume.
My little rant is over, how do I force the volume buttons to only be media!
