Sprint HTC Hero :: My Ringtones Sound Terrible
Jun 12, 2010I've had the same ringtones on my past 3 phones, on my first 2(both samsungs) they sounded terrific, CD quality even. But on my Hero they sound like garbage! Is this because of the speaker? Or is there a better way to do it?

Oct 5, 2013Installing the Carbon ROM Android 4.3. I have a Samsung Galaxy S3 and i've downloaded the zip file needed from (AT&T) I've put it onto my sd card and i followed these steps
Step 1: Wipe Date/ Factory reset
Step 2: Wipe Cache partition
Step 3: Advanced > Wipe Dalvik cache
IMPORTANT ONE!!
Step 4: Mounts and Storage > Mount /system > Format /system
Step 5: Mounts and Storage > Mount /system (yes again to make sure its mounted, do NOT click UNMOUNT /system
Step 6: Install carbon rom, followed by the gapps, and all should be working swell. This is what I did to get a first time install working.
But i do have a problem with step(s) 4/5. when i do it, it the screen just does a quick flash, so i'm not 100% sure of it did it's job. so after that i continued on installing with the 6th step, and it does a 2sec start and tells me that it had failed. So I just restart my phone since i cant do anything else and I'm still stuck. BTW my phone is rooted.

Jan 21, 2010I have seen the Droid docks available now and I been a bit disappointed so far. I have been thinking about making a custom dock out of woven carbon fiber (or woven black glass) for a while now, for a truly high-tech, stealth look and was wondering if anyone else might be interested in this as well.The set-up and making the mold will be the initial time and monetary investment, but if anyone else is interested then it might be worthwhile. I would love to share my ideal, cutting edge, dock with you, and I am very interested in if anyone else would be interested in buying this kind of dock in the near future.
I am still in the concept phase now and my vision is an "airfoil" shaped base with a magnetic back support and solid mounted USB connection. Please let me know if you are interested in this concept, or if you have any other ideas or suggestions. If the interest is there, I will definitely fabricate and offer this design to those who are also interested.

Aug 2, 2010The reason I KNOW its not me changing these ringtones in all of the assignable designations for media files to be played for the ringtones and such is that I have not a single of my music files within any of these settings as an option to assign in the first place. They are showing up randomly. This morning I awoke to Rock n Roll by Led Zeppelin, and earlier today a friend called my whose ringtone was changed to 99 Red Balloons.
Let me reitterate; I have never assingned a music track as a ringtone, alarm, or notification. The previous ringtone still exists in my library and is functional IE; i can reassign the same ringtone to a person again. I THINK that only ringtones which are NOT DEFAULT are changing. What is going on here? I have lookout AVP app loaded and running at all times.List on my runnng apps on EVO:

Ill try to note when I have done nothing to activate them.

I have them all checked, but for some odd reason, I still didn't get the sound.

May 20, 2013I am currently an iPhone 4s user and really like the way that the switch toggles between no sound (vibrate) and sound. I leave me phone in vibrate mode for most of the day and in the evening I tend to switch it to sound so I can hear the alerts from around my house when I don't have the phone with me. I am thinking about switching to an android device (S4 or HTC One) and have a few friends that haven't been able to duplicate the behavior of the iPhone. They get sound with vibration or some other weird combinations that wont work for me. Is this a limitation of the OS or is it device specific? I basically want everything to vibrate (Ringer, SMS, Email) with the option of changing everything to sound, no combinations of the two. I also need to distinguish between types of messages by using different vibration patterns.
