Oct 16, 2009My address book is all over the place! I am coming from a BB curve 3300, i had my contact list with numbers and emails within same field per person. When the address book was transfered over to my Hero, i received 3 to 4 different fields per person! How can i fix tihs without having to manually go in and delete 3 of the 4 fields and enter email, cell numbers to one of the contact?

Jan 22, 2010I had A online radio working last week. I just tried it now and it doesn't stream anything. Anyone have problems with this or anything like that? I uninstalled and reinstalled the program and same affect, starts to buffer then just says "stopped". Pandora is working fine for me.

Jan 4, 2010Whenever I type online whether its attempting to compose a myspace response or a general response on a message board like this, I experience annoying lag. I'm sure I'm not the only one, at least I hope I'm not, and I'm pretty sure it wasn't like that in the beginning. My question is, is this a network type thing? Or is it a memory/space type thing. I'm 90% on the wifi, and I would hope its a network thing because the lag online is becoming really annoying.

The online kitchen is currently only available to my MoDaCo premium members (those who have signed up to MoDaCo Ad Free or MoDaCo Plus) as it is not yet running on an infrastructure that can support a huge number of users. This will be the case for the foreseeable future as the kitchen system is developed.
With that said, for those who can test the kitchen, enjoy! I've had this vision for a long time, so it's exciting to see the pieces falling together - both here and in the Android 'scene' - to make it happen!
This technology will be coming to other ROMs and will also be available for other ROM creators to use via our Chef's Team.
HTC EVO 4G :: EVO Under Sprint Family Plan - Call And Internet History Online And In Statements
Jul 16, 2010Is there any way to secure call history for one of the phones in family plan, or will the primary account allways have access to every call any phone makes via the statements or online access?
Also, How much browser and download history information is available in statements and online for all phones on the family plan?
So is anybody doing seamless VIOP from the EVO on 3g? If so how? will VOIP calls show up in any logs outside the phone?
Any ETA on when it will get Skype without some third party? How about true multitasking while on Sprint Voice Call? I honestly can't believe it does not offer those two, I'm sure millions will jump when those come in.
BTW, I tested tethering with PDANet on 3g last night .. It worked great - not crazy fast, but good enough in a pinch.
I'm still waiting for 4g in the big city I live in.
For me, these are the monster items I've been waiting for.. Fast tethering, Voip Video and voice client , multitasking with voice.
One cool feature I will use tons is Voice command and Voice Typing.. they work awsome.

On my Sprint Katana, when you clicked on the phone number in the call log, you had the choice to edit or append the number. On my Hero, when I press on the phone number, it calls it? Am I missing a step, or not holding the press long enough? I have searched and read as many as come up under a search, but I can't find any that address it from the call log issue.

Nov 17, 2009I've noticed that in the People app, the phone numbers are formatted like this: (xxx) yyyzzzz but phone numbers that are used in message fields such as "Send Message" are formatted (xxx) yyy-zzzz. Is there any way to have the phone numbers formatted using the dash? Why, you ask? Because it's easier to read when you are looking up a phone number to give to someone; and I'm old, so don't laugh at me! GMail's contacts formats them all with a dash, but I can't find a way to make the Hero do so.

Bourne to Blog: Negotiating with your Mobile Phone Carrier. I wanted to upgrade to an Android phone, but this would require a "data plan". Some time ago, I was told that since I wanted to keep my plan, I could add unlimited data for an additional $30/month and keep the plan. However, about a month ago, I emailed customer service wanting to do this with the Android phone. They told me can't do this with the Android phone, you'll have to switch to data plan (essentially losing my plan).
So, here's what I did: My dad got me an Android on his "Family Plan" along with my step-mom and step-sister. To add me onto his plan is just an additional $20 per month. So, this made the most economical sense (since I wasn't about to give up my old phone and plan).

Jan 18, 2010I have the sprint HTC Hero with the latest update and when I'm to create a back up it doesn't let me do it. I then tried to downgrade the phone installing the the Sprint RUU and when I tried to install the AndroidSDK drivers I can't get to see the Serial Number of my device when I search in the command bar (following the steps of the Unlock). I'm using Windows XP with Service Pack 2. Any help will be appreciated.

Apr 10, 2010I've been dealing with this for quite a while - I'm finally just getting fed up with it to the point where I'm actually doing something about it. I use GV exclusively probably half of the entries in my phone history appear as "unknown". Its also hit-or-miss if the contact's name appears when i dial out or when they're ringing in. Also, when me and another contact call each other back and forth several times, sometimes their info appears, sometimes they appear as "(unknown)" -- its baffling me.
