Running 2.1 - Anyone else run into the problem of the calendar colors not matching up on their phone with the colors in their Google Calendars online? Just noticed today that all calendars are either red or blue, and not even close to what colors I use online.

The events I am scheduling on my Hero are not syncing to my Outlook calender.
View 3 Replies View RelatedA Calendar App for the Hero that (a) has holidays already plugged in (so I can look ahead and find out what day Christmas falls on, etc), and (b) let's me schedule things (vacations, trips, appointments and meetings) then reminds me of those things via something like a pop-up or text message the day before. Does anything like this exist?
Every App I look at has to be "synced" with something else, or just seems to have way more than what I need. Ideas? Bueller? Anyone?
Today, I managed to sync. my Lotus Notes calendar with google calendar (after 2 days of turmoil)Then the notes events were displayed on google calendar but 6 hours ahead (like GMT) thought both calendars were set on the same time zone (CST).At this point, the calendar pad widget synced with google calendar and displayed all my lotus notes events 6 hours ahead as in the google calendar.I then changed my google calendar time zone to GMT so that my lotus notes events showed the correct time .But now, the calendar pad widget still shows the old google calendar events that was 6 hours off even after syncing.Can some one please help configure such that my lotus notes , google calendar and calendar pad widget all show the same events at same time (hopefully, maintaining the same time zone settings for all)

But entries I make in google calendar only appear once. How do I stop this?
View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen I sync my Sprint HTC Hero with Windows Vista (using HTC Sync version 2.0.8), I get the following error message: "The application com.android.providers.calendar (process com.htc.calendar) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again." I also get this message occasionally when I'm not syncing. It doesn't seem to prevent my Hero from syncing new calendar events, but the error message is annoying. Anyone have an idea why I'm getting it and what I can do about it?

I uninstalled and reinstalled the program and same affect, starts to buffer then just says "stopped". Pandora is working fine for me.

Does anyone have this or can anyone with a different ROM see if its in the market?
I have a nandroid backup of several roms where I had it installed, can I copy it over to this ROM somehow? And why can't it install it? Is it protected?
So I'm guessing you cant talk and go online through the mobile network, I remember reading that in the book and from personal experience. But I remember talking and browsing the web while connected to wifi, but can no longer. Whats up with that?
View 1 Replies View RelatedWhenever I type online whether its attempting to compose a myspace response or a general response on a message board like this, I experience annoying lag. I'm sure I'm not the only one, at least I hope I'm not, and I'm pretty sure it wasn't like that in the beginning. My question is, is this a network type thing? Or is it a memory/space type thing. I'm 90% on the wifi, and I would hope its a network thing because the lag online is becoming really annoying.

The online kitchen is currently only available to my MoDaCo premium members (those who have signed up to MoDaCo Ad Free or MoDaCo Plus) as it is not yet running on an infrastructure that can support a huge number of users. This will be the case for the foreseeable future as the kitchen system is developed.
With that said, for those who can test the kitchen, enjoy! I've had this vision for a long time, so it's exciting to see the pieces falling together - both here and in the Android 'scene' - to make it happen!
This technology will be coming to other ROMs and will also be available for other ROM creators to use via our Chef's Team.

View 2 Replies View Relatednow that we have a beautiful custom battery icon (thanks again Kelmar!) I would like to try to do some more customizations. My Hero is SO close to what I like now, only need one more change to make it perfect. I'd like to figure out how to change all of the green highlighting to blue on the Hero. (Like on the ZenRom) Things like: when you press a button (say the call button, as an example) or icon or widget, and things like the progress bar in the browser... also things like the unread mail indicator, and the rating stars in the market...etc. Kelmar and I have been reading on XDA, and have tried many things, and we are getting nowhere. Everything seems to lead to a very long tedious process. It would seem to us that some of this might be able to be easily changed in one file, to make the change throughout the rom, but we could be wrong. We wonder if anyone here could help out with how to do this.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm having some issues with utilizing my Google Calendar on my Hero.
First off, I've always used my company's Exchange Server for Contacts and Calendar, simply because my Outlook is always open at work and it's easier than opening a web browser to access my Google Calendar and Contacts. The problem I've been seeing lately with my Hero, for some reason, is that the Exchange syncronization is out of whack. There are times where it acts as it should (it's set to sync "As Items Arrive") and other times where it won't sync for 12 hours. I'll look at my phone, and emails and calendar entries that have either been deleted, changed or added are not sync'd with the server.
Yesterday, I realized that Google has a sync client that can sync the Exchange with your Google Calendar, so I set that up on my work computer to sync every 10 minutes with my Exchange Server, and then set my phone to only sync/show the Google Calendar, figuring that I could bypass the potential Exchange Issues. I gave this setup a try, and the calendar became virtually unusable. It would take 40 seconds to open and perform any kind of action. Once opened, it would hang. I also noticed that under "Date Syncronization" in the Google tab, the Calendar was continually trying to sync (it was always showing the little sync circle) and the icon was a mainstay at the top of the screen. I've always had the Google calendar sync with the phone (no idea why, since I never had it viewed in the Calendar app) and I never saw this behavior (interesting note....I finally figured out why I was getting dual notifications on things even after dismissing....even though the calendar isn't being "shown" in the app....the data is still being synced and the notification will still go off...duh on my part). Could this constant syncing and hanging of the app be a result of the calendar continually polling my Exchange Server? I'd really like a way to utilize the Google Calendar sync on my phone without actually having to use the UI of Google Calendar on the computer.
I was flipping through my calendar on one of my home pages when it disappeared. Does anyone know how I can get it back? I really liked having the calendar up so I can see it easily.

View 2 Replies View Relatedi'm having an issue with my calendar notifications and looking for some help.i'm running the default calendar app that came with the phone and it is properly synched with my google calendar. the synching is working fine; in fact everything is great in that regard. the problem lies in that when i update something from my computer.say, i'm on my home pc and put in an event, even though it shows up in my phone, my phone does not give me a notification of the event.i have done a couple 'test events' and it appears that when i update an event from my phone, i get a notification.but when i update an event from my pc, my phone does not give me a notification.

View 6 Replies View RelatedFor the life of me, I can't find a way to search for entries in my calendar other than manually swiping left or right while viewing the day in time grid format. This works of course but it has some obvious limitations. Now I can predict that someone will say, just use the Gmail Calendar. This is because calendar entries input into the Web Gmail Calendar show up in my HTC Hero calendar and the Gmail Calendar has a search option; i.e. so I could go to the Web, open the Gmail Calendar and search for the item there. This method works, of course, but it's kind of double the work and forces me to depend on the web instead of my HTC phone where I'd prefer to search directly inside the default Hero calendar application.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI see lots of threads about getting reminders to go off, but I cannot figure out how to set the default for new appointments to have NO reminder. I can make an appointment and go down to reminder, scroll up to "none," but when I go to set the default reminder in the calendar I am offered 5 minutes and less. I don't want reminders, and I would prefer to have it default to none every time rather than having to go the extra step to set it to none. Is there a way to change the default to no reminder? I have set up my google calendar online to have none, but when I enter an appointment in my calendar it won't allow that.
