I love the laucher pro home screen however i not have acces to my HTC widgets. i really just want the 9 person favorite widget, htc clock, and the radio widgets (4g, wifi, bluetooh, and gps) any way i can add this?

As usual in android, each time the screen is flipped to portrait/landscape mode an Activity runs through life-cycle from onSaveInstanceState to onDestroy and then is recreated.In my Activity there's a ButtonText which can be changed by the user. It's reseted to the initial state, but I have to save the last state somehow. How can I achieve that, will I have to override onSaveInstanceState? Can someone show an example?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI got my phone rooted and got velocity on the phone, but i noticed some issues within the first few days. the 50% bug seemed to get worse, before i could do the airplane thing and it would be good for about a week, now when i do it it will last less than a day and i cant get more than a day of battery life with not using my phone much at all, before i could get about 2 days with regular use.
when i slide the keyboard out an the screen switched to landscape the all the icons and widgets would disapear then re-appear about 15 seconds later, it does the same thing when closing the keyboard. some times it gets stuck and just flashes the screen with no icon or wigets and the only way i can fix it is rebooting the phone.
the flashlight app that comes with it works perfectly but when i close the app the notification lights keeps flashing and changing colors it wont stop untill i reboot the phone. everything else seems to be working fine for me. p.s. the ad blocking in the apps is a very nice addon
I heard lots of good thing about this one and have a question? Can you use this and the application drawers stay the same as original? I like it samsung app drawer..

Seven is really pointless for me, it makes finding the right screen take a little longer and there's just not enough good quality widgets that I need to use. I could do better with 5 and possibly just 3.Second is that when I'm not on a homescreen and I hit the home button, I'd like it to go back to the LAST homescreen I was on, not the center one. And if I'm already on a homescreen, once again pull up the homescreen select menu, instead of going to the center homescreen. It's a waste of a button press to always go to that center screen when pressing the home button.

This problem does not happen if I exit an app by pressing the back button. It becomes very annoying at times.
Is there a way to set the which of the home screens the phone goes to when you hit the home button?

If I go into the messaging app, it works as it should (replies to the same number).
View 2 Replies View RelatedI am designing a home screen widget. I ran this widget on a HTC Hero device, which has a screen of 320 pixels * 480 pixels with mdpi. It ran perfect on HTC Hero. The widget takes 3 cells * 2 cells space, i.e. 240 pixels * 200 pixels.Then I ran this widget on a Nexus One device, which has a screen of 480 pixels * 800 pixels, mdpi. Since Nexus One also is mdpi, so I though 240dip is equivalent to 240 pixels on Nexus One and 200dip is equivalent to 200 pixels on Nexus One, so the widget will not take 3 cells * 2 cells space on Nexus One device. To my surprise, when running on Nexus One device, the widget take exact 3 cells * 2 cells, about 360 pixels * 300 pixels, on Nexus One device.I am confused. The layout xml above specifies 240dip in width and 200dip in height for the widget, but why did it take 360 pixels * 300 pixels on Nexus One Device? What am I missing?

Is this normal? Did I accidental do it in the settings? HELP its driving me crazy

This only happens when running certain apps, specifically Facebook and jetflicks (and some others that I can't name off the top of my head) but when I press the home button it goes to the last screen of my home setup. I run stock froyo and sense, and I keep up with as many updates as possible. Is there a patch for this that anyone knows of?

I think these are for baseline HVGA screen. How about for large screens and hdpi screens, do they still have 4*4 cells for widget and each cell in portrait orientation is still 80 pixels * 100 pixels?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI've had my Epic for about a week and have noticed that from time to time that the screen flashes VERY briefly to the home screen/lock screen when inside an app.
It happens when I'm in the browser, email app, etc. There does not seem to be any rhyme or reason behind it.
Is there any way to disable the screen that shows all the 7 screens after tapping the home screen? If not disable get rid of it all together.
Or maybe an app to do so?

Can anyone direct me to somewhere on how to customize the screens? exmples: when drawing the unlock screen, there is a big lag till the home screen comes up huge lag in opening programmes or menus
so, the only app i recently installed was the BA (british airways) android app. could this have affected the whole phone?
what steps can i take to check what might be wrong?looking at the SPARE PARTS app, i can see that CPU usage shows a huge bar for "init".i don't know if this is a normal process? anyone got info on this? might have nothing to do with my phone lagging of course.
So through a weird assortment of events i managed to crack the screen on my Eris. But this is the trippy part, I didnt break the glass but the touch sensors underneath. So now i am unable to use the menu or home buttons and the entire left part of my screen and more. I am unable to unlock my device in anyway that i know(menu button, the slider). Is there any other way to unlock it? I now have 11 unread texts and 4 voicemails that I desperately want to view. Oh and I know some of you won't be happy about what I'm about to say but.... I took the leap to the moto droid. I had the chance to get it on a 1 year because I didnt get insurance and I went for it. I will really miss my Eris but the keyboard lag was just killing me.

This gets really annoying when using apps that require such actions. Anyone else having this issue or know what I'm doing wrong. Maybe an app that's causing it.
View 2 Replies View RelatedMy HTC Hero uses about 1 Mb per day, while no applications seem to require data. Automatically popping mail has been disabled, and also other data consuming apps aren't running. I switched off cell (3G) so it consumes the data via WiFi. If I switch on 3G, it would also consume via 3G. So, by not using any apps, the Hero seems to consume 1 Mb per day. How come?
