View 7 RepliesI have had a lot of smart phones but never used bluetooth headsets and have a few questions. Can you get a bluetooth earpiece for answering phone calls that lets you answer from the headset once paired?
Do all the earpieces support streaming or playing music/sprint tv audio/Google listen? Are they all mono or do some single earpieces have stereo? Is there an industry standard for noise reduction that I should look for in the feature list? Any other tips if I just want to buy one and be satisfied its the right one?
My wife's Hero is stock and she said she just lost the audio on the phone. I know there are issues with this on rooted ROM'd phones but hers is stock.
View 9 Replies View RelatedIs it possible to play audio through the USB? My car stereo has both a USB and aux input, but I'd rather use the USB since it should keep the phone charged as well. I'd also like to do the same on my computer. If anyone know how to do this please let me know.
View 10 Replies View RelatedI've started to recognize a peculiar problem. During a phone conversation on my Hero, I will start talking, and the other person will start talking just after that (maybe a second or two), then they stop, as they apparently now hear me "interrupting" them. In other words, to them, they started talking first, then I start but to me, I started talking first! (No, I am not purposely interrupting them) It's hard to describe, but it seems that there may be a delay in my audio getting to them. It seems to happen with all callers. Did I make this clear? Now, I am wondering if this happens when I am away from home as well, as I use an Airave device at home. Does anyone else experience this? Does anyone have a suggestion on how to test this? Or a solution?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI was wondering if anyone knew of an Audio Booster or Equalizer for Android. I have searched the App Store but haven't found one yet. I use to have a Touch Pro and HTC had an Audio Booster program that let you have an equalizer that you could change while listening to music (only with headphones plugged in) from Hip Hop to Rock and etc...

View 13 Replies View RelatedI'm using EStrong's File Manager and it has the ability to work over a network. I set up my Linux desktop to share my pictures and music folders. I can connect to the shares via Estrongs and view the pictures, as well as play music. However, so far I can only play 1 song at a time. Does anyone know of a music app that would allow me to create a playlist and stream it from my computer to my phone via wi-fi?

View 1 Replies View RelatedIs there an Android equivalent to the iOS Core Audio / Audio File Stream Services? I need to be able to read audio bytes from a network and feed them to the audio system under my control, so I can do my own timeouts / reconnects / range requests / etc. without interrupting the audio playback (since the system audio thread would be playing audio already enqueued). It seems that MediaPlayer doesn't give me this level of control. Is there a lower-level framework that does, either in the SDK or NDK?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI rooted my sprint HTC hero and installed CM6 on it the other day, and everything is working great... except voicemail. I was using the Sprint VVM app, and that worked, but I got that annoying SMS message with each new voicemail, so I decided to switch to Google Voice (for voicemail only). It seems to work, except when my friends (who also have Sprint) call, and I don't answer the call, they either get a fast busy signal or they hear a voice say something like "Call cannot be completed. Goodbye" and then it hangs up.
Calling from land-lines and other cells seems to work ok? I just enabled Google Voice today, so do I need to wait a certain amount of time before it works Sprint to Sprint, or? Has anyone else seen this before? I should mention, it only happens on unanswered calls. If i dismiss the call before it's done ringing, it properly goes to google voicemail.
Been trying to search for an answer to this but could not find one. Anyone know if the Incredible supports audio out through the usb port. Thinking about buying new car stereo with usb port and wanted to know if I could stream audio out through my car stereo in this way or if I would just have to go with aux in jack?
