I love my EVO and my sprint service so far, but I am having one issue that is almost unbearable. While I am on a call I am not able to send out an sms. Is this how it works with sprint or is there a setting that I need to change?

I missed a call from my husband this morning and he said that he immediately received a text from me saying i was busy and would call him later. Well, I had not sent the message and yet there it is. Have looked and looked for a feature that may be causing that. I use Handscent. Any helpful info? I have had this phone 4 months and this has never happened.

1. He is on my Facebook contact. (His facebook pic appears in my Desire contact list)
2. He is my Gmail contact as well.
3. He is added as a 'Phone Contact' as well.
I sent him a text few days ago but don't remember if it was using facebook or my phone (network provider sms) but now when I go in to 'Messages' and send him a message, I just can't figure out if I am sending him a message via Facebook or to his mobile number.
When I try sending a text to an email via handcent, it doesn't show to text.My mom sends me texts via email when shes at work and I'm not able to respond unless I use the native android text app.Does anyone know how to fix this problem, or is this just not possible with handcent?

View 5 Replies View RelatedOn my previous phone it had a "full lock" feature on it that when a text message or phone call came in it would show all stars on the screen and require my password before you could answer the call or view the text message does the hero have that option or is there an app I can download?
I tried the pattern lock thing it has but if a call comes through or a text message comes through it still allows you to answer and/or view the message without entering the lock pattern..
Just talking on the hero when another call beeped in, screen came up showing who was calling. I hit the Decline button which is supposed to send the call directly to VM, but it only made the screen go away. I kept getting the beep notification that another call was trying to get through and then the choppy dial tone hang up signal after the call eventually made it to VM.

I am trying to send a text to my email address to get my phone's exact address so I can send stuff from my email to my phone but no matter what email account I send it to, it never gets there at all. Is there something I need to set up so I can do this? Or does anyone know what the address would be for a Sprint user? I seen some on the web and tried it using my info but it did not work. Always came back saying invalid address.

I don't remember where but I remember that if you were to put in comma's , it would be a pause so I am trying to dial a number such as "tel:555555,0,2,3" which should dial 55555 then it should send 0 with a pause then 2, pause, and then 3. View 13 Replies View RelatedI successfully updated to the official Vodafone release using SEUS, loving the update so far but I've come across a problem with text messages.
Every couple of text messages they won't send and instead I get the message cannot be sent error. Trying repeated times has the same results then all of a sudden it will randomly work.
It can't be down to bad signal, last time the error came up I had full 'H' signal.
I also tried Handcent to see if using an app would make any difference but it didnt.
I have two activities each contain its own textview any one help me that when i click the one textview text the text goes to the another textview of the second activity please any on help me in this problem

I've read about text message issues on the Hero, but so far not anything about the Eris yet. Hopefully it was just a 1-time fluke up until then it's been working perfectly for 3 days now, and its working perfectly fine again now.

So.....I did send out 100+ messages within like 5 minutes...just sending out a mass txt message letting people know of my new number. So is this Androids way of anti-spam?

What class can we use to send a text message? I tried this on the emulator, 2.0:

And that works ok. On my G1 running 1.5, I get a verify error, guessing because SmsManager is not available in 1.5. Maybe for 1.5 we need to use the deprecated class?:
android.telephony.gsm.SmsManager
Is that correct, or is there some other class we're supposed to use for sending text messages?
With the default Android's e-mail client, how could I send messages in plain text? I have not found any such option.

I have two different activities in my project.I intend to pass data from one activity to another. (As per user interface, I select an item from The spinner in one activity and send it as text msg.) The coding for text msg is done in another activity i.e the second activity.I m successfully able to select the desired item from the Spinner but am not able to pass it as text message. to select the item from first activity. It functions well BUT HOW DO I CAPTURE/RECEIVE THIS In the second activity that will send it as a text message.

Another issue I am having is there doesnt seem to be a way to send videos to through the facebook app.
Setup up the MMS APN correctly in mobile networks, if there is nothing in there, select sony erricson in the top menu in side settings, and download network settings.
Go into the MMS APN and setup as per the attached document.
Basically when a text is more than 1 is goes via MMS hence it's failing because the settings for this for vodafone on the X10 are incomplete...figures!!
Once your done power the phone down, take out the sim card power the phone back on.
Once in turn it off put the Sim card back in power up and your done you can now send
I recently got my HTC incredible. When I try to send a camera shot via SMS text, it tells me the image is too large and it crops it down to a size that is not legible by anyone with a non-DROID phone.

I've seen some older queries on the web asking how to do this but have not been able to find a definitive answer.
