Nexus :: Selecting A Gmail Account

Apr 24, 2010

It's great that Android 2.1 supports multiple Gmail accounts, but so far, I've found that it's not possible to select which one to use when sending a message from another app, such as Contacts or Gallery. What is particularly annoying is that, when doing this, it seems to automatically use whichever Gmail account I was viewing last. Am I missing something, or is this just a missing feature in Android?

HTC Droid Eris :: Post Update - Selecting Multiple Contacts In Text

May 16, 2010

This might just be me being picky, but... after the update yesterday, when I go to select multiple contacts to send a text to it now gives a list of EVERYONE in my phone book and facebook friends listing their home/email/cell phone numbers all individually, which caused the list to go from about 50 names to scroll through to over 300. Now before the update when I went to select multiple contacts to send a text to it was just the list of the people who's phone numbers I have in my phone. (BTW, this is the stock messaging feature, not an app or any of that). I've looked for hours for a setting to only show phone numbers and not to show facebook contacts in the text selection but no luck at all. Can you guys help a semi tech savvy guy out here?

Samsung Moment :: Selecting In Recieved SMS / MMS / Only Selects Entire Message Not Selected Text

Aug 22, 2010

I try to select just a certain part of a message I've received, and it seems the only way to copy anything is with a long press in the text field. Unfortunately the only option for copying is copy message and not selected text. I was able to select certain text and copy only it in the browser, but not in SMS/MMS (sometimes I need to copy an address or query). Does anyone know how to change this so I can copy only selected text (partial message)?

HTC Desire :: Gmail Client Now Has Ability To Copy Text

Fiddling around with the new version of the gmail client at lunch time I found something that I've been desperate for in the past! When you're viewing an email, press the Menu hardkey, select More and choose "Select text". Then simply drag your finger over the block of text you want to copy. It's rudimentary but it works. Unfortunately it doesn't work on the quoted text area when you are replying to an email, but hey, it's a definite improvement on going to the webmail client.

Sometimes it takes a full day for her to get them. Email has been delayed the past couple days, too. Items will sit in the outbox for hours and when I pull them up, there's red text saying it's sending..." This happens whether I'm connected to WiFi or just using the mobile radio. 2 bars or 5 bars, it doesn't seem to matter.

HTC Incredible :: Slow Google Voice Text / GMail Notification?

Jun 18, 2010

I'm having a problem with Google Voice. When I get an incoming text, I don't get any notification for it. I have inbox notifications checked, but it doesn't happen until I manually open the GV inbox, or sometimes not until I open the inbox and the specific conversation the message was a part of. This is true, even 8 hours later. So if I don't check my GV inbox/conversations for 8 hours, the phone gives me no notification of a message. I know this is not normal because a month ago I was having no problem with this. Could it be that I started using ADW Launcher a couple weeks ago? I haven't heard of any issues with this caused by ADW before Another thing I've experienced weird is the Gmail app. This morning I received 2 e-mails at about 7 and 8 a.m., though again I got no notification in the status bar and I had no idea I'd received the e-mails until I manually checked the Gmail app, even though notifications are enabled. This hasn't been a problem until a couple days ago. Thirdly, sometimes a friend will text my GV number and it will send to make phone's message inbox, not to GV. This only happens with one contact, and even then not all the time. My friend says he sends all of the texts to the same number, but I suspect he has my old number still in his phonebook and sometimes he just selects the wrong number, so I don't suspect it to be related, but this issue started happening at the same time as the other notification issues, so I thought I should include it.I would be very grateful for any help/advice you guys could provide!

I went through the stickies and looked at how I can protect myself from Malware, etc. I think I know the basics. I apologize if I sound silly, this is my first Android phone and the reason why I am getting it is because of the awesome reviews.
