Probably a very simple fix here, but I can't figure it out. I deleted a few roms off of my sd card to make room for the new warm 2.2 release and went to flash it. For some reason, when I'm in the boot screen, I select recovery, but it doesn't boot into the actual recovery mode anymore, it goes to another white screen which I think is the fastboot screen.

i have a samsung galaxy S1 with cyanogenmod, and i don't know what happened but when i turn on the phone it just stay on the loading screen, something like this : just a black screen with that little loading icon in it (without animation) i tried running both recovery and downloading mode (V+/v-,menu,Power) but nothing works too, and there is another strange behavior, sometimes, it show me the "Downloading.... do not turn off target !!! " message, when it is in that screen, the pc does recognies the samsung driver but i have no access to it, and Odin doesn't find the device
View 10 Replies View RelatedI've just bought an Oppo phone (with MTK6589 chipset.) 2 days ago I decided to root and flash CWM recovery to my phone. Rooting gone well and the phone is now rooted. Then I flashed CWM with Mobile Uncle Tool. It said that I flashed sucessfully, I got no error. But when I reboot the phone to recovery mode, nothing happend, the phone just did a normal reboot! I tried to flash other third-party recovery mode such as TWRP and MIUI recovery but I got the same problem: the phone couldn't get into recovery. The screen with a text "Recovery mode" appeared in 3s and the phone just did a normal reboot. I couldn't even format factory, all I got was just a normal reboot. I even tried many tools on Google Play and MTK flashtool but there were no hope. Now my phone is working normally but can't get into recovery mode.

I installed ClockworkMod 5.0.2.0 using ROM Manager and since then I haven't been able to boot into recovery mode. I can get into bootloader but not recovery. I've tried powering it on with the volume button down, using the recovery reboot option, and tried using "Reboot into Recovery" in ROM Manager, but I keep seeing the same thing. It boots with the HTC logo then goes black then at this point i believe I should be seeing recovery mode but instead I see the HTC logo again and then it just boots like normal. Is there something I did wrong and is there a way to get recovery to work again?
The weather just suddenly stopped working yesterday. I didn't change anything. I turned off the phone and back on, still with the same problem. I use wifi on it everyday, so I assume it would update but doesn't.

2 months ago before it upgraded itselve to curent version i instaled latest navigon without problems and it work pretty well. Since ICS is upgraded navigon doesen't work anymore. I tryed to DLL latest version of Navigon ( 4.1.1 ) and it doesent wan't to work. I can install it but when i open it up i get an error that im not connected to an internet connection or im not loged in to google play. my WI-FI is on and it don't want to work.

Cannot get wireless tether to work anymore. It gets superuser permissions, My laptop detects the network, it connects to it, but I cannot load any pages and nothing is being sent up and down except for 3-4 kb.
I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, resets, etc. My root seems to be fine.
I flashed wrong ROM with my device with odin, and my device doesn't work any more.
It looks like a real brick. It just stay in black screen. No vibration, No sound and No animation!! What can I do for my device?
I am developing on Windows machine.I was working quite well until yesterday, when I saw the the update prompt and updated my ADT plugin. Today when I tried debugging my test project, I experienced either one the following cases:
1) Logcat stops forever on the message "sending wait chunk".
2) Logcat shows the following message, and test project fails:
3) Eclipse stops responding.
The above cases happens even when the test unit contains nothing.Also it just doesn't not work in debug. The test case runs successfully if it is not in debug mode (But there are still some glitches, like Logcat sometimes won't emit debug messages).
A) The data network access doesn't work anymore. B) The touch screen is not responsive freezes a lot.C) The text messaging freezes then sends out 20 of the same message.And I have done numerous battery breaks.

Reboot system now
apply update from sd card
wipe data/factory reset
wipe cache partition
I don't have install .zp from sd card option ?? And when i click apply update from sd card it shows this error :
E:failed to mount /sdcard (No such file or directory)
E:Can't mount /sdcard
Install from sdcard complete
i was doing standard stuff on my rooted samsung galaxy pocket, it had low battery so it ran out.I connected it to a charger, let it sit for few seconds and tried to start it.
it showed battery image for half-a-second and s5300 start up screen appeared, stayed there for approx three seconds and phone rebooted,and it did this again and again.Without charger it didn't even start. I connected it to a charger again and it was charging up for few hours - and something different happens.Phone now starts without charger,still s5300 screen,but then it goes black(screen doesn't go off,it is still on but with black pixels . Recovery mode doesn't even load,downloading mode seems to work,but i didn't download anything.
I googled everywhere and couldn't find the correct answer for my problem. I pulled a pinheaded move by after rooting my phone, I wanted to put teenface's black notification bar. I put the 2 files from the zip (into my SDcard. I turned off my phone and now I am stuck in a boot loop.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI have a MotoDroid that has Froyo 2.2... I rooted it and am running a new rom. I was trying to boot into recovery using rom manager and it doesnt work. I also tried holding the x and power button down to reboot and it wont work either. It just shows the "M" for a long time then flashes "M" comes up again and in load like normal or it sometimes freezes and I have to take the battery out. just also tried to back up current rom and that doesnt work either.

But now the phone is randomly stuck in headphone mode. I have searched the forum and the only fix people have mentioned is rebooting and taking out the battery... That doesn't work for me.
View 2 Replies View RelatedSince I only have access to the emulators, I don't know if the problem can be reproduced on real phones. I'm using setCurrentTab on a TabHost to dynamically select a tab. When I am in portrait mode, it works, but as soon as I change to landscape (ctrl + f12), it doesn't work anymore. It doesn't send an exception, it just doesn't do anything. If I switch back to portrait (ctrl + f12), it doesn't work either. That means it just works when I first am in portrait mode. As soon as I change, it stops working. In order to make it work again, I need to close the application and reopen it.
The TabHost is from the current activity, which is a TabActivity.
Can you check if this happens to you too (emulator)?
I have so far found two bugs in Galaxo 1.6.3:
a) Speaker doesn't work in call (very weak). works well in ringtones etc.
b) Scrolling contacts by letter doesn't work.
Other than that this is a leap forward, especially with the overclock options!
Both bugs, as well as others, fixed in 1.6.3.1 update!
It is the second time that sms stops to works on my xperia x2.The first one it was 2 months ago: I've just bought the phone, I notified the problem and I done a hard reset and it start to function normally (the software version was the last available in June).Today I have had the same problem: it is not possible to open the sms (no by the icon on the main page, no by the sms icon in the main menu, ecc), and new sms are not notified.

View 4 Replies View RelatedMy HTC Hero which I have had for about 4 and a half months seems to be getting dirty from the back. It looks like seem green ink or something that seems to be painted on. It is a very dirty green, I tried everything to get rid of it. Heck, I have even used bleach but nothing works. Does anyone have any idea how to remove it? Worst case scenario I'll just buy a cover to hide its imperfections. All of sudden the black version doesn't seem that bad anymore :$

I uninstalled it and went back to the native texting app but decided I liked chompSMS's UI and ability to set different ringtones to different contacts so I went back to it... and now my trackball won't light up when I get a text. The notification LED flashes, but no trackball light at all. I kind of liked it cause it was the only way I could tell I got a text when I was on a call (seeing the trackball light up out of the corner of my eye).Any ideas as to what's wrong? Or does chompSMS's latest update not support the trackball lighting up anymore?The trackball still lights up for calls and emails though, so I know it's not the phone's hardware causing the problem.

View 6 Replies View Relatedi was reading some articles about improving battery. one tip was to go to the dialer and do *#*#4636#*#* and wait and then it will take u to a screen where u go to phone info and hit menu and change the network from gsm to cdma. i tried this and when i entered the numbers into the dialer it didnt do anything. the thread was from june so does this not work anymore?

So, with some investigating we found that K-9 Mail Beta is no long a beta version. It's just "K-9 Mail", version 2.000. And it isn't as robust as the beat version. What's up with that?
Better backup your old beta version if you like it. And don't update to the new until they get that mess straightened out.
Had a little problem just came up on my X10 to keep it simple when I activate the vibrating mode it doesn't vibrate anymore. Any idea what it could be a hardware problem?
View 10 Replies View RelatedI setup SIP calling through Sipdroid and Pbxes just fine. Uninstalled Sipdroid and was able to make SIP calls over 3G/WiFi using the Android Native Dialer. Suddenly my SIP calling does not work any more. I did not change any of the settings. When making calls over 3G/WiFi the call connects but immediately hangs up. The call log shows the call as outgoing but lasting "0 minutes, 0 seconds." The Sipdroid app works just fine but I don't want it running all the time.
UPDATE: I can make outgoing calls only if "Receive Incoming Calls" is checked. I would assume there is a way to make outgoing calls over SIP without having to accept them since I have GV forwarded to my cell number (yes I know it uses minutes but it saves on battery.)
I was rooted and decided to unroot for giggles. After i did I went to root again and now I am getting this: "E: cant open/cache/recovery,command " When I reboot into recovery mode.
