I installed the Penetrate app then downloaded the thomson dictionaries and put it on the sd card. But the app still says I need the thomson dictionaries. Any ideas?

View 2 Replies View RelatedRecently I started using gesture typing and I prefer it over swype and any third party keyboard I've tried.
Problem is, that I can only get it to work in languages that aren't my native tongue (which is dutch).
But I wouldn't mind using the English dictionary if only I didn't have to add every non-English word I use to the dictionary manually.
So my question is: Any way to make android automatically add every word I type to the dictionary? So that it can be used in gesture typing from then on?
I am working on an application that needs to find GPS location of the user. While testing my code on Droid i am unable to find the GPS location. While googling i found this link to an issue raised with Google.
But apps like Yelp can find the GPS location on droid. Is there a workaround to find the user location on a device? Here's the code I am using code....
My wife has a N1 which is pissing about big time, sometimes the internet wont work, other times letters in a text message wont type properly etc.She is not a heavy user of the phone at all So i thought about reinstalling the stock rom for the phone but i dont know where to find it. Had a look on the HTC site with no joy. Phone is running 2.2.1 but she doesn't use any of the new features.

View 4 Replies View RelatedFound myself needing to compare old and new app versions on my EVO but couldn't find a quick way. I was hoping there might be an alternative to the methods I used. I have a TON of apps installed and aTrackDog is slow to generate the information. Plus you then have to view the exported file separately from the app used to create the file. App List puts together a list quickly but rarely exports the version info. And I know that one can get app version info from Manage Applications on the phone but that too is slow to generate the information. Is there a FAST and easy way to see the version of the app? Would be nice to able to see something right from the App Drawer but I don't see any option other than the Manage Applications section of the phone and having to wait.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI hope to get a lot of experience on using my, for me, way too complicated HTC Desire, 1337 android users! So here's the deal. I bought an almost brand new Desire from a friend a couple of months ago. Since I just moved to another city, I was extremely fond of the GPS navigation software and the Google maps app. It was working like a charm, despite the fact that I read that the Froyo update had complicated things for some users.
Anyways, I've been using it massively, and have always been able to get a quick location and satellite fix. However, the other day - it just couldn't find any satellites at all! Since then I've been on an internet scavenge hunt for clues as to what might be the problem, and I've downloaded GPS tester and various other apps for GPS configuration and ultimately ended up doing a "hard reset" in sheer desperation. How can this be? I mean, to me it doesn't make a whole lotta sense for it to just stop working like that.
Can anyone find the (real) NY Times app? Or how about an app called Free Caddie? I received an OTA update on my LG Ally last night, these apps wouldn't work after the update, and I can't find either in the market.

I just got my Vibrant, and I can't take it to work since I can't have a camera phone at all. Need a GSM non camera phone that has interenet capabilities. Not deadset on the 8800, this is just the only Tmobile handset I can find w/o camera I know of. Other suggestions would be appreciated. I need to find thsi ASAP so I can cancel Verizon and stop paying 2 phone bills.
