I have Swype downloaded and used it for a while. At some point I did something that removed it from being my default keyboard. Under "settings", "language & keyboard", I have Swype checked off, but it still does not show up when I'm typing. What am I doing wrong?

View 20 Replies View RelatedI am working on an application that needs to find GPS location of the user. While testing my code on Droid i am unable to find the GPS location. While googling i found this link to an issue raised with Google.
But apps like Yelp can find the GPS location on droid. Is there a workaround to find the user location on a device? Here's the code I am using code....
Since Swype isn't installed default on the Evo, is it available in the Market or elsewhere? Sorry for the nob question...just not sure if it is only available if it has manufacturer support.

So I searched the market for it and there is no Swype in the market? Where can I even get it? I tried downloading an .apk file from Google, but it said my screen resolution wasn't the right size, so they must have different versions for different phones. I also found a trial one on the forums here but it was way expired apparently.

IMO slideIT is so much better..
I find it find my words better,,,deals with double letter better..i like how you can go back and it resuggests the word..i like how it puts a word on the line you are typing.. you dont have to look up to see if it guessed the right word..it puts a space before the word not after.. helpful when you forget to put a suffix like -s -ed -ing. they just did a update and its looks better then it did before..

The instructions on the various pages I've found simply state "Transfer the package file to your SD card." Okay, great. So uh, how does one go about doing that?
