How can I upload documents (like my resume) from my Evo when it says "Uploads Disabled" on the various websites? Is there a way to access my document files and upload them?

So I've been thinking of purchasing a smart phone, although I know virtually nothing of their capabilities.
I was curious if it was possible to write documents/scripts and upload them onto my website straight from my phone.
I essentially want a phone that could best emulate my linux (text-editing and ftp. Even better it has a terminal/Command-line feature), or a phone useful for web-developers. Would the Android be able to do this?
I have google docs as part of my Gmail. How do I view these on the evo?

I'm considering moving some of my documents to my phone SD....this is stuff that could potentially lead to ID theft if I ever lose my phone So I was wondering if there's any way to password protect / encrypt folders on the SD card. If I lost my phone.....I don't want a thief accessing documents in that folder. So it would have to work against him reading files off a card reader on a regular computer as well While we're at it.....between Mobile defense, Lookout and Wave secure, can any of them wipe the SD card remotely?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm having trouble uploading pictures I've taken on my DX to facebook through the "Quick Upload" option.I got a few uploaded, so I know it works, but now everytime I try, the status bad fills up all the way to "Uploading 100%" then it stalls before giving me the error "Can't send response now.Try again later."I've tried turning Wi-Fi on or off, but on both Wi-Fi and 3G it's not working.Thoughts?
View 1 Replies View Related1.When I try to upload a video from my phone to Youtube it says that I can't upload files bigger than 1gig. The file I am trying to upload is only 124 mb. So what is the problem? (it was recorded in 720) I had to download some crappy 3pg to avi converter so that I could upload it.
2. My second question, is why is it so choppy? Here is video of my 14 month old son eating a lime for the first time. Sadly, the video cuts in and out. Played like this right after the recording on the phone.

View 22 Replies View RelatedOk its my 1st post and Ive just bought my 1st smart phone. I'm amazed and what it can do... And I'm also a COMPLETE IDIOT as to what it can and cannot do! I have my wallpapers on the desire now no problems there... Now I want to ADD a live wallpaper or screensaver to my phone. I do things the simple way I connected my phone to my pc (not sync) waited for autoplay and opened up the sd card and added (by making new folders) my ringtones, pictures, videos and wallpapers all work perfectly... and I'm very happy! NOW I have my football team gif that I want to run on my phone in the background just like a live wallpaper... I downloaded the gif from a website that said it was a screensaver for my HTC Desire! I cant find the live wallpaper folder at all (where the built in live wallpapers are) in order to add my gif to it... I made a second folder and called it live wallpaper 1st and then screensaver and in both cases it does see the file but will only let me add the gif as a wallpaper image and not a moving image/screensaver/live wallpaper. Do I need to convert it from a gif to something else.

I'm logged in my youtube account and m connected to my wifi at my house. But the problem that m having is that everytime i go to upload the video, It continues to say Waiting to Retry.. It keeps saying that for like 15 minutes until eventually it says Failed Network Error.. The wifi is working fine when trying to browse Internet. I deleted the cache and data in youtube as well.. I have the facebook app on my phone and it does not seem to let me upload mobile pic's. In order for me to upload pic's I have to go to the mobile version of facebook and upload the pic via some email wich then post the pic for u, but the problem is it seems to post my pic's side ways.
I know lots of folks with other phones some of them crappy that just click on the photo and select upload to facebook....why can't I do that on this phone? Why does this phone not give me the option to upload from the pic? Why does the facebook app FOR android not let me upload photo's?
I have tried asking this once but i don't think anyone understood my question but i am trying to figure out what i do to get my contacts back to my phone, they were all saved as google contacts and i had to reboot my phone so they all got deleted but i cant seem to figure out what to do to get them back on my phone?
