HTC EVO 4G :: Flikie And 3D Gallery App

I'm confused on what these apps exactly are. I first downloaded 3D gallery which I then found out I have to download Flickie. I did and now I'm lost. I see flickie is a gallery of several pictures you can use for a wallpaper. But is that it? And I see one of my options is 3d gallery but it just shows the pix I took. Then when I go under settings and wallpaper I see flickie as a option but when I click it says that I have no photo select. Can someone explain this a little better to me and what 3d gallery exactly is.

I've got it set to change my wallpaper every 30 minutes, but it's not changing it at all unless I do it manually. Tried to go to their "official" site, flikie.com, but it's down for renovation. Anybody know what to do or who to email?

Phone - HTC incredible 2.1 no root
I love flikie wallpaper hd app but for some strange reason it fails to load an image sometimes and I just have a blank black screen that stays until I manually change it. I have 400+ wallpapers that I have set to change every 30 min and no I don't have a solid black wallpaper. Anyone else have this problem? Have a solution?

A few days ago i downloaded the Flikie wallpaper app and was able to save wallpapers on the Desire without any problem. Since yesterday i have been unable to save or set a particular wallpaper. I now keep getting a message "sorry we can not save this wallpaper". I have tried many other wallpapers with the same message appearing.Has anyone else experienced this problem?? Is it likely to be a problem with the app and not the phone?Would it help if i uninstall and then reinstall the app?Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

I'm trying to set the selection of a Gallery in code. I would like to have the Gallery smoothly roll down a few items over the duration of a second or two. At frist glance, it appears that two members would to the trick:Gallery.setAnimationDuration(int animationDurationMillis); Gallery.setSelection(int position, boolean animate); It turns out that the setAnimationDuration only seems to affect the rubber-bandy "return-to-center" effect of the Gallery. In other words, when a gallery comes to rest after a fling, and a gallery item is off center, the animationDurationMillis is used to control the duration of the Gallery centering up the item. However, the value seems to have no effect on the setSelection. No matter what value is set with setAnimationDuration, the Gallery seems to render about 2 or 3 frames when flying between items 1 and 10 for example. Is this working as designed? Does anyone know a trick or workaround that would let me properly animate setSelection? I'd be especially grateful if we could do it with an "Ease Out" effect.

I have two gallery widgets in same screen. If user flings on top gallery widget I would like to replicate the same fling motion on the other gallery widget thats beneath the first one. Is there a way I can possibly achieve this.

I am using a Gallery based Coverflow, as suggested here.Is there an event that can be caught, which indicates that a single shift (either left or right) has been made in my gallery/cover flow? To be clear, if I gave the gallery a decent swipe and my center (selected) image has changed 8 times, I would like to catch this event 8 times. OnFling() just indicates a single swipe - regardless how many items have shifted.Getting getSelectedItemPosition() before and after the swipe doesn't help since I need to do some work on every shift.It will also be nice while I am at it, to get the direction of the shift - either right or left.

I have a Gallery with a set of images that was downloaded at run time.I followed the example here:http://www.anddev.org/a_androidwidgetgallery_-_example-t332.html but instead of using i.setImageResource(this.myImageIds[position]);I used i.setImageBitmap(bitmaps.get(position));This doesn't fill the entire width of the screen, only as much as the width specified here:i.setLayoutParams(new Gallery.LayoutParams(150, 150)); When I increase this number, the item scales with it instead of showing more images per the example. I've even tried to scale the images before adding them to the set. Not sure what I'm missing, or where other examples of this might be. Any help would be great.

The help I need is the actual HTC gallery apk from 2.2.This is what I get for messing with Ti Backup when the coffee hasn't kicked in. I went to delete an app that was above it, and in my cloud of semi-consciousness, I managed to delete it. Fumble fingers combined with not being completely awake can yield disasterous results. I installed the 3D Gallery app, and while I like it, I wish to have the stock HTC Gallery App as well.
Anyone got?

Since im getting no love from XDA thought i would ask here.I have kasfroyo v34 love the rom.Having the 3d gallery issues.How do I get rid of the 3d gallery from the rom.Someone said to flash over it with a new gallery.Would that consist of installing the apk or something further.

I have a ton of album art on my phone from all the music I put on it but when I go through my gallery all those pictures come up, it's make the gallery very cluttered and tough to find pictures buried in all that clutter. Is there anyway to make it so that they don't come up in the gallery?

I have the 3d gallery from flickie wallpapers, but it lags on loading pictures and it's not always fluid.

Well the issues with the stock launcher have been fixed from the early days of 2.0.1 and everyone can have up to 7 screens without root.Now that 2.2 is out and the launchers work fantastic on it, i think app developers should start working on a new Gallery for the droid.. I cant stand the stock gallery, its glitchy, laggy, messes up all the time and doesnt show all my photos. Its a worthless piece of trash IMO. I cant even show friends my photos i took on my DSLR on the phone because it will never load them.

I just ported the 2.1 gallery over to my moto droid (which is awesome btw). But now it shows that I have 2 galleries installed when i open my launcher.I just cant figure out how to delete the 2.0.1 version.When I go to Settings>Applications>Manage Applications, all that is there is the 2.1 version, even after I filter to "all".

I have two "download" folders on the SD card. When I mount the card, I only see one folder, so I see only one set of pictures. In the gallery, I can access the other download folder and see the pictures, but when I navigate to what seems to be that very folder, I only see a bunch of apk files. how to "export" the folders from that download folder?

So my gallery has the typical folders in it such as Camera shots and I am familiar with the option to turn on "Default Folders' such as My Favorites, All Photos, All Videos and All downloads. I also have a couple folders that I created and uploaded to the root directory of the SD card to be recognized and displayed by the Gallery. For SOME REASON I have two OTHER folders that are found in my SD card that are also ANNOYINGLY showing up in my gallery. One is called "icons" with about 91 little...you guessed it, ICONS...and is associated with the Maps and My Maps app on my SD card in the path .../sdcard/maps/mymaps/icons/...
The other folder that showed up is "tmp" associated with the FreeTube app in the path .../sdcard/FreeTube/tmp/... First WHY are these folders randomly and "without my asking" showing up in my Gallery app? Secondly, PLEASE tell me there is a way to get rid of them. I'm a bit annoyed that they are listed in folders in my Gallery App but the MUCH BIGGER ANNOYANCE is their inclusion in my slideshows...I see 91 stupid little map icons in my slideshows and screensavers!

I have a gallery and when a image is selected, I want to start new thread (for loading other images). But I don't want to do it while the gallery is scrolling. How can I know the state of the gallery and if it is still scrolling? I can't use "setCallbackDuringFling(false)" because I have a textview under the image that has to be updated during the scrolling.

I've got the Nexus One and the gallery app on it is awful. You can't move your photos between albums or rename them unless you go into the SD card and do it and even then you have to turn the phone off and on again before the changes show in the gallery.Does anyone else have this problem and how do you put up with it? Is there an app (ideally free) that lets you view your photos, rename them and move them around albums etc? Its a basic thing that all the older phones can do so why is a supposed smart phone so rubbish at it!
