General :: Restore ICS Stock Camera And Stock Gallery After 4.2 Camera
Jan 5, 2013I have a problem with my camera so I try to install are the 4.2 camera on my haipad I9300 mtk 6577. No success so now I want to go back to the original ics camera and gallery.. Unfortunately I delete the original ones when I install the 4.2 camera. So I download the camera apk and Google gallery. Apk and put in system.app the gallery shows up but not the camera. The gallery crash very often. I cannot make the camera shows up. Every time I turn on the phone it appears "Android update". I don't have a recovery.

Jun 26, 2013I was watching netflix on my xbox360 last night while playing on my phone. When i was in the stock gallery app i noticed a button called "change player" when i hit it.. all of a sudden netflix stopped and my picture was displayed on the screen of my tv.. I assume it is some sort of DLNA stuff. But how can it do this when i have DLNA sharing off in settings? I want to know how to disable this feature..and/or what its using to broadcast.

Feb 28, 2012 I want to be able to prevent all of my album art from being displayed in my gallery, and only to show the images/folders that I've actually placed in my gallery.
When i open my gallery, I see all the images & folders that I've put there,but I also see ALL of the folders with ALL of the album art..and this can be difficult.
Is there any way to prevent this? I want the album art to display in my music player-(when that album is playing).But I don't want to have to scroll through every frickin folder of all album arts every time I open my gallery to find pics/images.
Get's to be too much when you have over 20GB's of music and pretty much all of them have album art folders. Is this do-able?
Motorola Droid :: Hide Photos From Gallery App But Not From Music Player?
Aug 10, 2010When I open my gallery to look at the actual photos I have taken, I have about 50 other "picture" folders showing up that are really music folders that just happen to have album art in them.
I DO NOT want to use the .nomedia or ".foldername" method because then my music player will not see and be able to display the album art. I just want the Gallery app to ignore pictures in the music folder. Does anyone know of a way to do this?

Sep 2, 2010I love this app. only thing that bugs me is that it's pulling almost everything i think that's an image file on my sd card... It's pulling my mp3 tags and that causes the app to slowly load them in. i tried putting a file named .nomedia on the root of my music folder, but that prevents the music app from loading the music. does anyone know a way around this?

Feb 15, 2010I downloaded Open Home with the DarkHero skin. In doing so, it made my wallpaper resolution 960x854. So rather than each window having a separate wallpaper, it is now one big one, just like the Moto Droid. Which is awesome in my opinion. The problem is setting new wallpapers. Is there a way to manually save downloaded wallpapers to the stock Wallpaper Gallery, rather than the Photo gallery where all of my camera photos are stored? I only ask because it keeps asking me to crop these 960x854 photos and select which window I'd like to change, when I don't want to do any cropping.

The music player finds these songs and plays them but I am curious if there is a better way to organize media stored on your phone. Jul 21, 2010I have searched high and low with no answer to this. I like the stock music player on the Galaxy S and want to use it but my playlists do not show up in the playlist tab. I do not want to re-create my playlists on the phone. I have used mixzing which is great and shows my playlists imported using salling media sync or ones added to the /playlist directory but I am happy with the stock player, but I can not find where or how it reads playlists or if it is some special format? I guess there is a way around it by viewing the recently added playlist and just create a playlist from there, but any help with this would be great.

Sep 29, 2010First off, I listen to long audio files (5+ hours) on my Inc. pretty much everyday. Ever since the the 2.2 update, if I pause the audio and do something else like open the web browser or an app; once I go back to the media player and press play, it'll restart the track from the beginning. I know this is different from 2.1. I could even turn the phone off and on, and it would still hold it's place in the track. Is anyone else out there experiencing the same thing? Am I stuck with this, or am I missing an option somewhere? I tried a couple different media players, namely Mixzing, but that too loses it's place. I'd really like to keep the stock player, mainly because the lock screen controls are so nicely integrated.

Aug 12, 2010I like to put it on random and I have like 1600 songs. It plays a lot of songs more than once, does it not remember what it has played and what it has not? Very annoying to hear the same song again when I have so many. Another thing is when I have it on shuffle if it is playing for example a Eminem song, All it wants to play is Eminem songs for the next ten tracks or so until I keep skipping.

Jul 17, 2010Is there a better video player application which is free in the android market? The thing i dont like about the stock video player is that it doesnt sort my movies and videos. For example, i made folders for my series and my movies. after it scans for media, it shows ALL my videos in bulk... not grouped by types. I used the gallery application and the Gallery app does a better job...but is there a free application that sorts out movies as as good as itunes for the iphone?btw, this is not a major issue and it is less than a minor inconvenience Im still very much happy with my phone

Jul 20, 2010I installed a game from gameloft (Let's golf, great graphics btw)
Anyway I notice a bunch of sounds files were showing up in my music player I didn't want. Very annoying. I searched around here and didn't really find that much help. After some further searching around the net the easiest way I could find was as follows:
1. Open up notepad, don't type anything just go to file, save as. Change the drop down box for Save as type: select all files. Under file name simply type ".nomedia" without quotes.
2. Connect your phone to your computer, locate where the sound files you don't want are. In the same folder as where all the files are, drag the .nomedia file you made to that folder. Disconnect the phone
3. Reboot your phone, once booted open up the music player (you might still see the files there since it's cached) Go to the all songs tab, select a song. This will refresh the cache and you should no longer see any annoying files in your widget or playlist.
Before this I had to make a custom playlist and select that but everytime I rebooted I would have to select the playlist again plus if you add new songs you would have to go into the playlist.
Also if you don't know where the annoying files are, you should be able to hold down on it in the music application and go to details. This will show u where the files are located.
HTC EVO 4G : Turn Off Subtitles On Stock Video Player?
Aug 5, 2010Does anyone know if you can turn off subtitles from a movie. I used DVDFab to put movie on my EVO. I really don't know what I am doing, I am really surprised I got the movie to play. Looks and sounds great, just can't turn off the subtitles.

Nothing is worse than starting the car and the phone immediately hijacking the audio and starting to play a ringtone or something. The stock media player is awful.
