Is there a better gallery app than the stock one? I hate how it's kind of slow when flicking to the next picture.
I have the 3d gallery from flickie wallpapers, but it lags on loading pictures and it's not always fluid.

How can I turn my album gallery to look like the stock 2.1 gallery?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a problem with my camera so I try to install are the 4.2 camera on my haipad I9300 mtk 6577. No success so now I want to go back to the original ics camera and gallery.. Unfortunately I delete the original ones when I install the 4.2 camera. So I download the camera apk and Google gallery. Apk and put in system.app the gallery shows up but not the camera. The gallery crash very often. I cannot make the camera shows up. Every time I turn on the phone it appears "Android update". I don't have a recovery.

View 22 Replies View RelatedI love this app. only thing that bugs me is that it's pulling almost everything i think that's an image file on my sd card... It's pulling my mp3 tags and that causes the app to slowly load them in. i tried putting a file named .nomedia on the root of my music folder, but that prevents the music app from loading the music. does anyone know a way around this?

Switching the home screen back to the default launcher (from sense) does not change the gallery, picture or dialer app.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI downloaded Open Home with the DarkHero skin. In doing so, it made my wallpaper resolution 960x854. So rather than each window having a separate wallpaper, it is now one big one, just like the Moto Droid. Which is awesome in my opinion. The problem is setting new wallpapers. Is there a way to manually save downloaded wallpapers to the stock Wallpaper Gallery, rather than the Photo gallery where all of my camera photos are stored? I only ask because it keeps asking me to crop these 960x854 photos and select which window I'd like to change, when I don't want to do any cropping.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to set the selection of a Gallery in code. I would like to have the Gallery smoothly roll down a few items over the duration of a second or two. At frist glance, it appears that two members would to the trick:Gallery.setAnimationDuration(int animationDurationMillis); Gallery.setSelection(int position, boolean animate); It turns out that the setAnimationDuration only seems to affect the rubber-bandy "return-to-center" effect of the Gallery. In other words, when a gallery comes to rest after a fling, and a gallery item is off center, the animationDurationMillis is used to control the duration of the Gallery centering up the item. However, the value seems to have no effect on the setSelection. No matter what value is set with setAnimationDuration, the Gallery seems to render about 2 or 3 frames when flying between items 1 and 10 for example. Is this working as designed? Does anyone know a trick or workaround that would let me properly animate setSelection? I'd be especially grateful if we could do it with an "Ease Out" effect.

To be clear, if I gave the gallery a decent swipe and my center (selected) image has changed 8 times, I would like to catch this event 8 times. OnFling() just indicates a single swipe - regardless how many items have shifted.Getting getSelectedItemPosition() before and after the swipe doesn't help since I need to do some work on every shift.It will also be nice while I am at it, to get the direction of the shift - either right or left.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a Gallery with a set of images that was downloaded at run time.I followed the example here:http://www.anddev.org/a_androidwidgetgallery_-_example-t332.html but instead of using i.setImageResource(this.myImageIds[position]);I used i.setImageBitmap(bitmaps.get(position));This doesn't fill the entire width of the screen, only as much as the width specified here:i.setLayoutParams(new Gallery.LayoutParams(150, 150)); When I increase this number, the item scales with it instead of showing more images per the example. I've even tried to scale the images before adding them to the set. Not sure what I'm missing, or where other examples of this might be. Any help would be great.

I am very interested in getting this feature on either RMK's new stock leak ROM or the 2.2 OTA stock ROM. I went to delete an app that was above it, and in my cloud of semi-consciousness, I managed to delete it. Fumble fingers combined with not being completely awake can yield disasterous results. I installed the 3D Gallery app, and while I like it, I wish to have the stock HTC Gallery App as well.
Anyone got?
The title says it all. I haven't had ANY other problems with froyo until now, and I have done a hard reset. Although I did just do the .6 fix today, which wiped all data. Anybody know what's up?

View 9 Replies View RelatedI'm confused on what these apps exactly are. I first downloaded 3D gallery which I then found out I have to download Flickie. I did and now I'm lost. I see flickie is a gallery of several pictures you can use for a wallpaper. But is that it? And I see one of my options is 3d gallery but it just shows the pix I took. Then when I go under settings and wallpaper I see flickie as a option but when I click it says that I have no photo select. Can someone explain this a little better to me and what 3d gallery exactly is.

View 22 Replies View RelatedWell the issues with the stock launcher have been fixed from the early days of 2.0.1 and everyone can have up to 7 screens without root.Now that 2.2 is out and the launchers work fantastic on it, i think app developers should start working on a new Gallery for the droid.. I cant stand the stock gallery, its glitchy, laggy, messes up all the time and doesnt show all my photos. Its a worthless piece of trash IMO. I cant even show friends my photos i took on my DSLR on the phone because it will never load them.

But now it shows that I have 2 galleries installed when i open my launcher.I just cant figure out how to delete the 2.0.1 version.When I go to Settings>Applications>Manage Applications, all that is there is the 2.1 version, even after I filter to "all".

In the gallery, I can access the other download folder and see the pictures, but when I navigate to what seems to be that very folder, I only see a bunch of apk files. how to "export" the folders from that download folder?
