HTC EVO 4G :: Flash Evo 4G To Cricket?
Jul 8, 2010
Alright ive been searching for a couple days now for a tutorial on how to flash to cricket but i just cant find anything.nobody locally knows how to do it, google searching all day gets me nowhere and im seriously starting to give up hope and might just pack my bags and go back to the iphone while i haven't sold it yet. can someone PLEASE give me a link to how to flash an evo to cricket, or explain to me how to do it. are the videos on how to root it of any importance here? im assuming you need to root it then change the carrier settings after that, but i just cant find out what to do after rooting.

I figured out how to full flash the LG Ally 740 to cricket but 3 out of every 5 phones I flash do not save the NV settings. When I go to manual programming (##program740 send) then select DATA. The MIP & DUN MIP settings always revert back to the default 0000000000@vzw3g.com settings. I've changed them in LGNPST,CDMA Workshop & QPST but still reverts back to VZW. It's rooted and tried several different ROM's to fix the problem. Could it be the kernel? If anyone can help, please let me know.

Another n00b needing some tips/assistance... I spent hours the other night trying to figure out just how to flash my LG Ally to Cricket, to no avail. I've never flashed anything to anything before, so I'm trying to understand the whole process at the same time. There's a lot of vague info on the forums about doing this on the Ally, but nothing clear, yet. I rooted my phone (thanks to amoamare's AllyRR) and tried using 3 programs to gain access to changing PRLs, etc: CDMA Workshop, LGNPST, and QPST. None of them could correctly identify my phone (and yes, I had USB debugging on). It seems to me LG has added a layer of protection to prevent using these tools. My guess is that those of you out there who know how to code (I'm not included) can use ADB Shell or something else to modify PRLs, etc. on a rooted phone.

I just got my hands on the ever so lovely HTC incredible and flashed it to cricket. However I'm having a few issues with getting my gps, mms, apps and getting my data connection to stop going on and off. I followed the walkthroughs for both the HTC Eris/hero and the Motorola Droid, course respecting the aspects of Motorola that won't work on an HTC. I've gotten the web running with the issue of it periodically goin in and out. As for mms, gps and apps....sadly they're a no go. If anyone has any ideas or can help it would be greatly appreciated.

So my droid is flashed to cricket, and the oh so anticipated full flash has arrived, ( ) after bringing my droid home several months back, i did a bunch of research, and came to understand that there's two ways to run your phone.
I paid a pretty penny for my droid and wasn't exactly anxious to do anything to the fancy digits inside the phone,..... so my question is, since my phone is flashed, does this mean my phone is already rooted? im a little nervous about doing the whole full flash, since this is a new file they use,(I will be taking it to an "expert") but i've seen so many ads that say "we wont brake your phone like the other guys",....kinda scary statement if you ask me.
So what does this whole flashing thing do to a phone? I dont have any of those rooted things you people talk about, dont know anything about any of that, but im scared its possible these people will somehow ruin my phone.....

I have a DROID that has been flashed to cricket. I woke up this morning and the phone was working just fine. I went to turn on music and noticed all of my music was gone. I started my anti virus to see if maybe something there was causing an issue, and during the scan my music showed up. My phone started running really slow and some pop-ups started showing up stating that "whatever the name was" application has not responded with three options "Force close, wait, and report" When I got frustrated enough to pull the battery, I started getting a boot loop. In the past I get the loop anytime I pull the battery, but if I let it run for 3 or 4 boots, the phone works just fine and I go on with my life. This morning I was not able to get back to "just fine" And the phone has been in an infinite loop all day. I have had it charging, I have tried disconnecting the battery and all the options the forums online have stated.
I can boot into recovery, and about every 6-10 boots the main screen will come up after the eye. I get the main screen with my lock code, the time, notification that I have a voicemail, and "no service" with 0 bars. I get that for about 3-10 seconds, and the phone reboots starting yet again at the white droid symbol screen. While in recovery mode I have been able to navigate around the recovery screens. When I try to do a recovery though, I get "Error: nandroid exited with status 20" if I try to do a backup I get the same error just with status "36" I have no idea where do go from here. I have read that if I flash the SPRecovery it will fix the boot loop, but the biggest thing I am worried about here is loosing my Cricket flash. I do not know how all of this stuff works, so if I am calling the Cricket "flash" wrong, please by all means correct me. If I can flash the SPRecovery while keeping my provider's "flash," or whatever you want to call it, are there instructions on how to do this flash of the SPRecovery? I have recently gotten my entry code in fast enough to get the background to show up. I have a loader app loaded and it showed all the icons at the bottom of the screen, but after a few seconds the phone went back into a boot loop. It showed the correct background, but it didn't show any of the applications loaded. I have let the phone reboot twice since starting this response, and got the same result. The second time I got my code in, I was able to see apps on the background, but a few short seconds later, the phone freezes and shuts off again. I see that I am making progress, but it has been hours so I am hoping there will be a quick answer to help me here.

Any reason Cricket internet doesn't work on Froyo builds? I have flashed all of them, and after flashing the 'cricket internet V9' it won't connect. If I flash back to a 2.1 ROM, it works. What gives? It's really annoying because I want to run KaosV27, but can't without 3g.

I have a droid eris that's flashed to cricket & everything works except my apps. I searched around the forum & found Pkopaleks thread on how to finish the full flash to get working apps. The store I got my phone flashed at said it was impossible to get working apps because the apps are verizons (lies) & now I'm disappointed their not working. My question is that do all stores that flash phones root phones before the flash? If so will going to recovery mode and loading pkopaleks cricket file ruin what has already been done? Lastly if the store didn't have to root to flash how will I fix this problem?

Just want to know if I would be able to flash custom ROMs on my Droid? It's fully flashed to cricket, running FW 2.0 with SPRecovery. I have a full backup on the phone right now, but I'm wondering if I'm able to flash custom roms on this phone without messing up the proxy workaround settings.

I was wondering how I could follow the BBC cricket commentary using the desire. It's a digital broadcast so the built in FM radio is no use. Nor is it available via the BBC Player. I browsed to the mobile BBC site but that did not provide a link. The BBC radio 5 desktop site did have a 'listen live' option but that simply kicked off the Player. However, I found that by going to menu - more and settings you get the option to disable the mobile view. I then returned to the radio 5 site and clicked listen live. The commentary then streamed perfectly. Only problem was as soon as I turned it on England lost a wicket but I suppose you cannot have everything!

All the new features sites said Flash 10 was part of Driod 2.2. 2.2 was pushed to my phone overnight and I installed it. However when I go to the Adobe Flash showcase, it says I don't have flash installed. So I search the market place and do not see flash as a download. Is this just something that will come later? I really don't read up on Driod all the time so I don't know all the news, just a regular user.

I have gotten both the Flash Player and Flash Lite APK's, and I have been trying to install them on the Droid. Flash Player refuses to install on stock 2.1. Flash Lite installs, but after install I can not connect to the internet (Nothing connects, Skype, market, random app, browser.)
So I wanted to know if anyone wanted to do some testing with them, to see if you can get them running on the ROM you are running. Maybe we will be able to make fun of iDevices earlier, because Droid Does what iDont

Many people don't realize that they have two kinds of "cookies" on their computer. We all know about the familiar ones that web pages can place on our PC's and which we can see and delete with our browsers. But there's another more insidious kind which can be placed on your computer via Flash. These are called Flash Shared Objects, or sometimes "flash cookies" and they were disigned to provide inter-session persistency but are, in practice, used the same way cookies are. On a PC they're found in C:Documents and Settings***user***Application DataMacromediaFlash Player#SharedObjects and/or C:Documents and Settings***user***Application DataMacromediaFlash Playermacromedia.comsupportflashplayersys. They are a huge privacy violation.Browsers do not normally delete these although you can get a plugin for Firefox that does.My Question: Now that Android supports Flash, how do we get rid of these things from our Android devices?

I was quite excited to have flash on my mobile devise and as I have an unlimited subscription to Lovefilm I was looking forward to watching the on demand movies for free. But I was disappointed when I was met by the message "does not support this type of flash". Is there an update or an app I can use? Lovefilm uses Flash Player 10.
