Whenever I try to download pictures there are a ton of other pics that look like bookmarks or screen shots of web pages I have gone to. How do I stop this from happening? These nonsense pics also have to be taking up space on my phone as well. Is there a way to make the phone stop saving these?

I did a forum search and saw this question asked but didn't see any answers so I'm posting this again hoping someone can help with this most frustrating problem I'm having with MMS. At least 60% of the time when someone sends me a picture message I will get the option to download the picture. When I click "download" the box turns to grey text that says "downloading" but it never downloads, just goes back to the download button. Sometimes I will get a message in my notifications panel saying "Message not downloaded". This happens in both the stock messages program as well as Handcent. Does anyone else have this problem and a suggestion on how to fix it? This is a huge issue for me.

View 9 Replies View RelatedWhen I first installed Handcent, whenever someone sent me a pic it just popped right up on my screen. No action needed on my part to open a file or anything.
About 2 days ago it started sending these "Download" boxes instead. I press the box that is in the txt msg and it reads "downloading".
Two Questions:
1. Where do those pix download to?
2. Sometimes it says "unable to download"..... now what?! It doesn't tell me why it cannot download the pic.
earlier today I viewed a friend s picture and suddenly in the top 5th of the screen three icons popped up.One - sharing, one to use the picture as a wallpaper and something else which I think was assigning to a contact . Now, I can not for the life of me re create this no matter how much I tap, touch, shake or stirr.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI own a T-Mobile Comet and have been able to download the iPhone MMS messages and send pictures before. I have owned this phone for roughly a year, and starting a couple weeks ago I have been unable to receive the MMS messages or send my pictures, I use Handcent. What happens when I get the message- It says Subject:no subject 1 KB and has a download button, after I press it all that happens is it says "Downloading" for hours on end and never actually does. When I send pictures the send spiral just spins endlessly and it doesn't send. My mobile data is on, my WiFi is off and I'm not sure what else I need to do.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI've got some photos stuck in an MMS that I tried to download before I realised that I didnt have the correct MMS APN settings in (due to swapping to the Modaco ROM). The correct settings are now in but the MMS is stuck at "downloading" status. Is there any way I can rescue it, there is no forward option and I've successfully sent and recieved MMS since.

The default is that new pictures are all the way at the bottom, and since I have over a hundred pictures its annoying to scroll all the way to the bottom. I don't see any option to sort the pictures in any other way.

View 3 Replies View RelatedCurrently running Elelinux 2.2 v2 (latest revision from yesterday) I don't have a data allowance on my current plan and it costs me the equivalent of ?1.10 per megabyte. Anyhow on some of the earlier roms i used - Official 2.1 and Villain 12; during setup i could select: "I do not have a data plan, only use Wifi"
So i never downloaded on 3G (or its equivalents) and only downloaded data while on Wifi. It would use the 3G to download/send MMS though! The problem now is that i don't get that option with the Froyo roms. Additionally when i disable 'data traffic over mobile network' in the settings menu i can't receive MMS and i can't send MMS. Does anyone know any way to keep mobile data on so i can send/receive MMS while not having it download internet related data when not connected to Wifi?

View 4 Replies View RelatedOver the past two days, I've noticed every time I look at my phone the two arrows beneath the 3G symbol are both on constantly. If I go in to settings->about->Battery->battery use I see that android.process.acore has received over 30 MB.What the heck is it doing? My battery life was pretty good until yesterday when I began noticing this behavior. I had to put the phone on the charger after only 8 hours of use yesterday.
View 34 Replies View RelatedToday I noticed my pocket was getting a little warm. Check my phone anand my battery was getting pretty low even though I have not used it at all today. Check back in about 10 minutes and it had droped another 10% and the 3G at the top was staying lit as well as both arrows. I turned off the phone and turn it back on. Still same thing. Download ATK and killed everything. I gave up when it made it from 35% to 10% in about an hour. After plugging in and leaving it for an hour it has been fine.

It says my item will be downloaded, but the bar does not show any percentage (it's remains grey) for a very long time. So far I only succeeded in downloading 3 apps but I still have to wait about 10 minutes. The rest took longer than 10 minutes so I just gave up.

If I set my EVO down right next to it (running CM6 nightlies), I am getting almost no signal and DL speed of only 1.5 mbps. Ok, not to ask a stupid question, but since they are both on N, why is my computer getting so much better signal and faster download?

What I don't understand is that I have internet connection, I'm actually posting this from my phone, but yet when I try downloading mms messages it lights up my 3g arrows and then says message download unsuccessful. Iv tryed using stock messaging app and handcent and its the same for both. Iv tryed updating permissions and I know my phone is compatable to open the message because I even tried sending myself a ringtone, it sent. But then I couldn't receive it. Any suggestions on how to fix this? And if not maybe I could try going back to a rom that allows me to update prl and profile? But I can't find one of those either.
I went to download an app, WidgetLocker. I authorized the purchase, and went to the install page, it just locked up. Now when I go to download it, it just says" Authorizing Purchase"
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have owned my HTC Desire now for two weeks and can download apps and games from the Android market with no problems, but when I try and download a ringtone or mp3 song from any ringtone application I just get a instant "ringtone download failed" message and nothing happens. I belive this could be a setting stopping music / ringtone downloads. I have tried four different ringtone apps and it happens on all of them.
