I'm looking for a free internet radio site (which caters to almost any radio station music or genre all over the world) that i can listen to whilst i'm out and about say travelling on the road or just for grocery shopping. any sugestions guys?
View 10 Replies View RelatedLet me start by listing the ones that would be useless to me:
I don't get the point of weather widgets. I don't need to know the exact temperature every time I look at my phone. I just check the weather app once in the morning and I'm good for the day. The weather doesn't change that often people!
I don't need a clock widget. The time is always displayed at the top anyway, and on my phone's lock screen too along with the date. I don't use any alarm clocks. I don't use the calendar for anything. My days are all the same. I don't follow any sports. I got rid of the search widget that was running on my phone since there's a dedicated search button on the phone.
I do enjoy following politics and technology news (I'm a computer programmer). Right now there's a single widget running on my phone called "Battery Indicator" because I like to know the exact percentage of power remaining rather than an graphic approximation. So, any widget recommendations for me? Any cool widgets you enjoy that you think I might wanna try?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have recently just switched from a iPhone to HTC One, I came across some really cool home screens (such as on minimal android), I didn't know you could customize these, so now i am very eager to try them out myself. However clicking through some of the home screen instructions, there is a section called "ROM", does this mean the device has to rooted first?
View 6 Replies View RelatedThe best txt viewer/editor for Microsoft Windows is Notepad ++. It's such a shame we don't have something like that on Android. Anyways, I need a Text Editor with the following features:
1-Full-screen mode: A mode the fills the whole screen. I mean no menu, no toolbar, no nothing! What I need for the app is to fill the whole screen when I put the phone in horizontal position. I don't need to see a menu bar on battery percentage when I'm reading a book.
2-Last Position: Remembers the place of your last visit. For instance, if I open a text file and read till page 6, the next time I open the app it starts from page 6 and not from the beginning.
3-Font choices and Background color: Gives you the option to change the color of the background. Also, the more fonts and styles it has the better.
I want to build an app for Google Android that uses natural feature tracking to create some cool augmented reality. Now what I need is a good library that for Android that does some serious natural feature tracking.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI DL'ed and ran the unprovoked program. It did its thing and said done. it rebooted and looks exactly like it did before....questions:
1) how do I know if it is rooted and ready to go?
2) how to I make changes, like allow mobile hot spot and cool stuff like that?I wont even get into how I can add froyo, simple things first
Ever wonder what goes into making that app that you like so much? Below is a link to a YouTube video (a loooooooong video) that reveals a little bit about it. I found it to be quite interesting. Perhaps you might as well . . . or it might cure that insomnia that you're trying to cure. Learn what it takes to make a good Android app great
View 2 Replies View RelatedI've recently installed Cool BravoS v10 in order to finally give myself more space on my phone, but now I've finished, there's no change in the reported size of my Internal Storage. Is this normal?
My phone is a HTC Desire.
I formatted a 16GB Class6 SD card with GParted Live, exactly as described.
I "S-off"ed my phone with Revolutionary.
I then wiped data/cache/delvik.
I then flashed installed Superuser-3.0.7-efgh-signed.zip. Then Cool_Alignment_2.zip. Then CoolBravos10. Then snq's 111118. Then Framework-LowLS-Bat-BS789.
I rebooted and everything appears perfect, apart from this one issue.
i have it synced with us holidays, thats just a google calender thing as well as facebook friend birthdays and facebook events.... does it sync with any other things that are useful? i want it to sync with a forum calender, but i cant find a file to download or a way to do it
View 17 Replies View RelatedIf you swipe your finger on the notification bar (with the panel still up), you can change your brightness, anywhere that bar is present! Useful when auto brightness isnt on and you need a quick brightness change. I'm not sure if this is a touchwiz feature or an android feature.

I'd like to make an Android app that lets a user apply cool effects to photos taken with the camera. There are already a few out there, I know, but I'd like to try my own hand at one.
I have been googling and stack-overflowing, but so far I've mostly found some references to published papers or books. I am ordering this one from Amazon presently - Digital Image Processing: An Algorithmic Introduction using Java
After some reading, I think I have a basic understanding of manipulating the RGB values for all the pixels in the image. My main question is how do I come up with a transformation that produces cool effects?
By cool effects I mean some like those in these iPhone apps:
I already have quite a bit of experience with Java, and I've made my first app for android already. Any ideas?
I'm new to this whole Android game so you'll have to excuse my n00bness.
As I understand it, the Nexus One gets any Android updates quickly because they come straight from Google and the Nexus is a vanilla install.
The Desire uses Sense though so we would have to wait for updates on that to be made compatible by HTC
Am I right so far?
So I guess my real question is how much of an issue is this? Do updates come thick and fast for Android with loads of cool new features, or is it once in a blue moon you may get something new? Do HTC generally keep Sense up to date with the latest release?
