I am running Fresh 0.5.3. When I open a contact and scroll down, as soon as it stops it jumps right back to the top. I want to give a contact there own ring tone, but as soon as I get to the bottom, it jumps back up. I can't get it to stay down long enough to make any changes.

Let me start by saying that i get excellent 3g speeds and reception. My issue is that often during long calls, i find that my phone switches to edge or often gprs. after the phone call, it quickly jumps back to 3g.
View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen i click on batch, then run to backup my apps it jumps back to the Backup/Restore screen with all the apps, nothing gets backed up. I have backed up before with Titanium and it worked. I reinstalled Busybox, didn't help. If i uninstall and reinstall will i lose all the things i did like freeze apps etc ? When i try to update through the marketplace it says installation error, package file was not signed correctly.

Since I've installed 2.2 the message app on the desire jumps to the top of a message thread randomly while I'm writing a message meaning I have to scroll to the bottom again. This can be very annoying in thread which I have lots of messages. Any ideas on how to fix this?
After updating my phone i noticed i cant find half my contacts. how can i get the contacts back to my original ones
View 5 Replies View RelatedWhen I switched to the Samsung Fascinate from a previous non-smart phone, I transferred all of my contacts from the phone over. I think in the setup somewhere I chose to convert my contacts to Google contacts. That was really confusing at first, because I didn't know what it did, and didn't even remember I had done that until recently. I'd like to get the contacts back to phone contacts (not Google contacts) for multiple reasons, which I won't bother listing for now. So, does anyone know how to UN-convert or re-convert Google contacts back into phone contacts? I really don't want to have to recreate all of the phone contacts, because I've got a LOT of them. I would remove my Google account from the phone, but I worry that would remove all of my contacts completely, which wouldn't help me.
View 4 Replies View RelatedSince upgrading to 2.2 the messaging app is randomly jumping to the top of the conversation when I'm writing a text. I can't work out if there's any pattern, it's not a particular keypress or message length. The only work around is to either scroll down again (inpractical in an 800 message conversation) or press back to save as a draft and then edit the draft. The annoying thing is that the bug where the conversation jumped to the bottom after deleting or locking a text has been fixed.

It only seems to be happening since I moved to an 8GB SD card. I copied all my files over to it and everything else seems to be working ok. It happens in both the music player and in "Listen", the podcasting app.

If I'm (for example) writing a SMS and then want to navigate back though the text to correct a typo, I find it very difficult to get the cursor to the required position. Sometimes it seems too sensitive and jumps more lines / positions than I want; and sometimes it seems not sensitive enough! Is it just me, or do others have problems using the trackpad?
View 25 Replies View RelatedWhen my phone is charging my screen tends to jump a bit when I'm scrolling, has anyone else noticed this? If I scroll up or down and leave my finger in the screen, the screen will jump up and down in small jerky movements around my finger. I also noticed while playing breakout that the slider will have jerky movement as well while charging. Hope I'm not the only one who experiences this, it's not a big deal but bothers me. Does not happen when not charging. Also, some times when trying to tap the screen and select something does your droid randomly scroll down maybe 8% of the time? I have this issue as well.

View 4 Replies View RelatedWhen my phone is plugged in my cursor jumps to the left making it impossible to type or access applications that are not on the menu screen all the way to the left. It also navigates itself away from web pages and I think the constant left motion of the cursor makes the phone run slowly. I cant look at maps either.

Now the only thing I don't understand is how to back up apps. I've already made a nandroid back up of my current phone state, and I know how to back up contacts, but I cannot figure out how to back up apps. I've heard of something called google cloud, but I have no idea what it is, nor can I find anything on it.

The only thing that happened was Gmail sent all of the email addresses I've ever sent an email to to my phone. That is something i dislike. I have tried backing up my contacts using Lookout too. Nothing there either. If Google is supposed to automatically sync with the contacts, why aren't any of them there?

I've had my Magic for about 3 months now and I do like it a lot, but I want to back up my list of telephone contacts to the sim card so that in the event of a change of handset in the future, my contacts are safe and can be restored to another phone.I can import from the Sim card ok, but how do I do this in reverse? I don't want to sync with Google, I want a copy of my contacts safe elsewhere. Is this possible?

View 1 Replies View RelatedAfter reading through the threads I see that a few people have lost their contacts when the phone has rebooted or upgraded etc. So I would like to back them up. When I look in people-menu-view it shows that all my contacts are saved to my phone. They where saved to my Sim when I put it in so it must have done this by itself. What is the best way to back them up? In the import/export option I can export to SD card but I am a bit worried about pressing that encase its the wrong thing and I loose it all.

View 2 Replies View RelatedSorry about the new post but I have been searching all day and haven't found one that's what I need. I had to get a replacement for my eris due to trackball issues. I got my replacement today and can't seem to get my contacts onto the new phone. The one thing that I have been able to find out is that I should have saved all of my contacts as Google contacts. I tried using Lookout and was able to transfer my pictures, but only 5 contacts (the only google contacts I have). I also tried MyBackUp but it is asking me for a pin number it never gave me. I downloaded vCardIO and exported my contacts to the sd card, but now when I put the sd card into the new phone it says that there is NOTHING on it, none of my documents- nothing. Is there any way I can change all my contacts to Google contacts? I don't know what else to do, so any help would be appreciated.

View 4 Replies View RelatedWhen I first had my desire the contacts seemed to back up to googlemail fine, something has happened (dont know what) and my contacts on googlemail have reduced to 42 (was 127) I am trying get all my contacts from phone backed up to googlemail (or just my PC) dont mind which one. Would be happy to have them on my PC somewhere. I am imp/exp to SD etc etc but it keeps asking me for a vCard, which I do but where is that vCard stored, and how do I get my contacts to my PC either via the Vcard or via sync - I have tried syncing but the numbers stay the same? Surely it should be easier than this - all I want to do is get my numbers backed up for saftey.
