Motorola Droid X :: Make LP Calendar Widget Opaque / Available In Color?
Oct 20, 2010Is there a way to make the LP calendar widget opaque? It is too transparent and allowing the wallpaper to show. Makes it hard to see some of the calendar entries. Same thing is true of the Facebook widget.
Is there another calendar option in LP besides the month view. Is there a week view for instance? Are there other colors available for the calendar besides black?
Why are the LP dock icons white. Are they available in color?

Jan 6, 2010This seems like an obvious requirement for a calendar widget, but I can't get it actually show me today's events. For a few days leading up to an event, it'll inform me when it's coming, but when it's here, nada.
So is there any way to actually make the widget show the current day's events?

Yesterday, I downloaded the free Yahoo Mail app. On the top of the screen, I seen a little Yahoo icon that indicates new messages. How do I get to them? I thought there would be a button with all of the other apps that came pre-loaded, but there doesn't seem to be anything for Yahoo. I've just been going to the browser button and getting to Yahoo from there... is that the only way?

Oct 16, 2010I am writing my first application and am trying to get my widget to load a different image when it is added to the home screen based on the state of the notification volume.It is detecting the notification state fine and the proper Toast messages appear when I add the widget, but I'm not getting any icon.I just get an empty button.I'm using the same code to change the icon in my onReceive() method to do other things and that works fine.Is this the proper way to accomplish that?

Sep 11, 2010I played with the Fascinate today for more than an hour at VZW. I LOVE IT. My only question is related to the calendar. On my D1 I have many more widget choices including the calendar. This widget displays on my home screen and always shows my next appointment whether it is today or in a week. The next calender entry always shows. This is not the case for the Fascinate. It has a nice widget that shows weather, stocks, and at the bottom appointments. It only shows today's appointments. I downloaded a calender widget app that was nice and may work but it would not open so I don't know.
Now the question: Can any of you guys with the fascinate comment on a widget that allows the widget to display the next entry on the calendar. To be clear on my D1, if I have no calendar entries for today, my 10am meeting tomorrow shows up on the widget with a time and date. Can one do this with the Fascinate.
HTC Incredible :: Calendar Widget - See More Than One Appointment Without Opening Up Full Calendar
May 3, 2010I have a question about the Calendar widget (the HTC one). I want to use the smaller of the widgets since I don't want the calendar to take up a full screen.
Is there any way to see more than one appointment without opening up the full calendar? You would think if you have multiple appointments in a day that you'd be able to flip through them from the widget, but you can't from what I can tell.

Nothing on the market, I've found nothing on the internet about it being taken off. Does anyone have any information on where I can find it? I use Yahoo a lot for personal email. I understand this is a bit unclear so will try explain:
Applications such as Astros program manager lists applications with their icon. For all apps this is the correct icon as on the launcher, except mine which is displaying the standard android icon. I have set my icon as the manifest using: android:icon="@drawable/runninglate"
This works on the launcher but Astro still shows the default icon from when I create the project (which I deleted a long time ago). I have also tried renaming my icon file to icon.png in case this was a standard. This also failed to work.

I go to activity and there are 3 different People app in there and none of the 3 actually open my contacts. Sep 10, 2010I've been looking for an agenda tool/widget for my Android phone. I've narrowed it down to these two (PLEASE don't post suggesting other alternatives!! And note that I don't mean the Pure Grid version!). I've been searching for half an hour, but I can not find anything that compares these 2 apps or shows any diffs between them. The best I've seen is comments like " beats hands down", with no explanation as to WHY.As far as I can see, for my purposes (using Google Calendar & Astrid), the only difference between the 2 is the PRICE! Both come in numerous widget sizes, both integrate with Astrid & Google, both are scrollable, both are skinnable. So why choose one over the other? (Or, really, why choose Pure Calendar over Android Agenda, given that the latter is free?) I wish I could just test both out but the Pure widget series has no demos

Jan 28, 2010for some reason i can't seem to set up my personal yahoo email account. i keep getting an error saying i'm not authenticated? i just logged in with this pc and didn't have any problems. i was trying to set it up using the mail widget google /gmail worked just fine with their widget are they trying to just force me to use gmail only anyone have any similar problems and/or tips to get it set up. i would like to move to one email account but you know how it is, you get on, you get another, people have the old address guess i could forward yahoo to gmail.
