Motorola Droid X :: Make LP Calendar Widget Opaque / Available In Color?

Is there a way to make the LP calendar widget opaque? It is too transparent and allowing the wallpaper to show. Makes it hard to see some of the calendar entries. Same thing is true of the Facebook widget.
Is there another calendar option in LP besides the month view. Is there a week view for instance? Are there other colors available for the calendar besides black?
Why are the LP dock icons white. Are they available in color?

This seems like an obvious requirement for a calendar widget, but I can't get it actually show me today's events. For a few days leading up to an event, it'll inform me when it's coming, but when it's here, nada.
So is there any way to actually make the widget show the current day's events?

I would like to place an image over a surface view. However I would like the image to be transparent so you can see the image and also the underlying surface view. Can anyone suggest how I could do this?

I'm trying to make the status bar icons opaque on an ics Rom (the icons to the left, like the debugging, usb, unread notifications, etc.) as in kitkat roms. What values should i change? I'm sure it's not on drawables.xml and it's not the png's either (they are already opaque). Statusbar.smali maybe? if that's the case, what are the lines that i should modify?

I wanted to know if there is any way possible that I could use an opaque view like webView or mapView or such opaque view in some defined portion of my device screen like I want to use webView alongwith some another layout having another views. How do you make the task bar at the top of the droids screen a different color. I tried the themes in the market that showed a black taskbar but no luck with any of them actually changing the color of the task bar.

I'm having a problem with the launcherpro + calendar widget. When I add an event by selecting a day in the future, it opens an agenda but the start/end date is always the current date. Anybody else with a DX have this problem? Am I doing something wrong? Or is this a known issue that will be fixed in the future? I checked the LP forum and didn't see this issue.

Any one know of a way to make a calendar event reminder repeat until the user cancels the reminder. Such that if I have a meeting and if I miss the first time that the notification goes off (I'm usually in vibrate only or I use very short very high frequency tones) I'd like the tone to repeat at regular intervals (say every 1 or 2 minutes) until I acknowledge that I'm heading to the meeting. Anyone have an idea for anything like that?
Blackberry didn't do this by default either and there was a WONDERFUL app called BerryBuzz that would allow you to customize notifications to the hilt. In other words different LED colors for each email account or for text messages (or whatever else you could think of) and you could not only have a different sound for them but when the repeating alarm went off you could also individually configure that alarm. Something like this would be really awesome if there was a similar app on Android.

Just a quick question for those of you who know the marketplace pretty well. I really want to upgrade to LP for my phone, but there are two moto widgets that I really like but can't seem to find similar replacements. One of them is the calendar widget and the other is the weather widget. What I'm looking for is an app that displays the current date and the next upcoming event. I've found a few, but they take up too much space for my tastes. I'm trying to keep these two on the home screen for easy viewing. Secondly I'd love a weather widget which could display the weather information in a small amount of space. Pictures are not necessary, I could live with text descriptions.

How come when I load up the calendar widget to display on my phone it just shows a small square with no dat or anything? It just says no upcoming events? Does it show the date or is there a widget that does the date etc?

Is there anyway to set the calendar widget up so that it shows more than events that are going to happen within the week? for ex. I have an orientation for school on august 18th, but it doesn't show up on my calendar widget because its more than a week away.

My calendar widget will not update to the current date. Right now it is showing that today is yesterday (which is when i placed the widget on my desktop). When I open the widget, the calendar shows the correct date, but on my desktop it doesn't.

I've been using the stock calendar widget for my exchange calendar and noticed that the date on the top of the widget doesn't update each day to the current date. I have to delete the widget and set it up again for it to show the current date.

I just downloaded this, and really like the sense-like look, but can't find where and how to choose a different skin for the flip clock and calendar widget? Default is nice, but I'd like to tweak it just a tad, and it says it's skinnable.I just haven't figured out how.well, as usual, as soon as I posted I went back and played with it some more, and it looks like you have to configure it as an app, then install the widget. Correct?

So the large calendar widget that I placed on my home screen used to show dark little tabs in the corner of everyday that I had an event. While I was looking through it, all of the little tabs disappeared and I have no idea what days I have events unless I go into the actual calendar app. Is there any way to keep them there permanently?

I have a bluetooth adapter attached to my car's iPod dock. It acts like a bluetooth headset so I can play music wirelessly from my Droid. My problem is that I have to go through a few menus to connect the paired devises every time I get in the car. Is there a way to have the Droid automatically connect to this device, or is there a widget that can help make this process easier?

I've noticed that changing the background color of an android widget (f.ex. Button or TextView) by program:
myButton.setBackgroundColor(Color.BLUE);
makes it to loose its 3D shape, border, and shadows effects, and then appears like a ugly flat square. What am I missing?
Sorry for the very naive question but I couldn't get it right although tried for a time.
