Android :: Video Cannot Be Played / Video Track Fell Behind?

I was trying to use VideoView to play a Video from the SD card, but the only thing working properly is its audio, while I see the first frame of the video which doesn't play on and after a few seconds the Error message "Cannot play video - Sorry, this video cannot be played" appears. I don't know what I have done wrong.if anyone could help me out here, that would be great. this is the logcat output I get...I just saw that it says Video track fell behind, could that be the problem and if so what can I do to stop it from falling behind?

I know this is not a big deal but it is still bothersome. When I try to run video while on Yahoo's site I get message "Cannot play video - Sorry this video cannot be played." I have no issues with ESPN, Cnet, etc. I'm able to run these yahoo videos on my wife's Eris with 2.1 (v.3).
Anyone know how to deal with this issue?

I recently (last Friday) got my EVO and am loving it, however I've noticed that when I try to play a video through youtube, or click on a video in facebook, I get the error that says the video cannot be played.This even happens with videos that I uploaded to youtube with my EVO.Has anyone else seen this or know if there is a fix?

I have encoded several videos to mp4. All of these videos played fine on on my phone until yesterday. Now none of them will play correctly. The default video player says "The video could not be played" and Act 1 says "Video is falling behind audio. It may be too much data for your phone to process, or may not be supported by Android" What gives? They play correctly on my wife's droid. I haven't downloaded any new apps since they played correctly. I have killed all apps to make sure I have enough memory. What could have changed? I have followed the instructions given on the forums to encode video to a T.

ever since i put the leaked .3 version youtube has gone downhill. when i click on a video it seems like its loading but then a pop up comes on saying "video cannnot be played" even with the .6 update i did with the leaked ruu its the same. just tested it and it only does it when i have HQ enabled

I'm trying to put some mp4 movies into my sd card for my moment, after i unmount my usb, and i click the video icon for the movie, it says "sorry this video cannot be played" i thought it's suppose to play mp4 and or h.264 type files? what can i do to solve this..?

Anyone else getting this error notice while watching online videos? For the most part, this doesn't happen for me in youtube vids, but any other internet vid site will prompt this error. I have been getting this problem since the 2.1 update... didn't get better or worse after I rooted to froyo 2.2 and overclocked to 1200mhz.

I am currently working on a video player using the VideoView and I am controlling it with the MediaController.
The first thing I would like to do is to be able to place markers along the seekbar, such as 25% of the clip. I want to fire an event when this mark is hit or scrubbed past. Throwing an event when this marker is hit with the video playing regularly will be easy because I should be able to just use getCurrentPosition and checking to see if it is 25% of the total clip. The issue I am having is how to fire the event if the user scrubs past the 25% point.
The second thing I am trying to do is just show a visual marker along the seekbar that I can display a marker, lets say at the 25% point, 50% point, etc.

I was playing some music today while doing some yardwork and i noticed it was stuttering at the beginning of just about every track it played. I listened to about 12-14 songs and it stuttered in the beginning on about 8 of them, somtimes it would also stutter a few seconds after that but would be fine after that until it went to the next song. Anyone else have this issue? I've got all the apps closed with advanced task manager, so nothing is running and eating up the processor or memory. Any ideas what would cause this or a remedy for it? Any help is appreciated.

I am doing a video based course, and what is infuriating about playing video on my Android is that you have to watch each segment (up to 40 minutes) in one go, as the next time you play the clip it will restart and fast forward does not work (it forwards for less than a second and then jerks back). What would be really handy would be if I could put a bookmark every time I have to stop the video file (such as when I have to get off my train), and return to the same place the next time I open it. Is there any app that can do this? I will pay for one that works.

I am using the Alcatel OT-918d (stock rom, root access enabled) and while playing videos in the browser, I do not get an action prompt to choose from the available video players and browser plays the video using "default video player".
The so called "default video player" has been uninstalled though. Have cleared cache, clear defaults, clear data for the browser but still do not get a prompt to choose a video player while playing videos from the browser.
Also installed the "Default App Manager" to check for the default video player. However, it indicates no defaults to play any videos (either from file or streaming videos).
(If I play a stored video from phone or SD card, I do get the prompt to choose a video player. But do not get a prompt if playing any video in the browser.)

I've only had my EVO for 4 days now but I can't open any videos sent to me via messaging. My husband has an Instict and sent me a 20 second video of our daughter and when I tried to open it, I got a photo that said "Video too large to view on this device". The video is not that large so I'm not sure what's up.Is there anyone else that is having this problem? Does anyone know how to fix it? We send videos of our kids all the time and I hate to think that I can't do that with a "state of the art" phone.
