Android :: Not Syncing Google Bookmarks?

Can someone more up to speed and deeply into Android than me please enlighten me as to why, when Android is a Google OS, and presumably the inbuilt browser app is therefore a Google app, that Google bookmarks are not synchronised like google contacts, google mail and google calendar.
I have had an Android phone since G1 and had a Desire for almost a year and have always been waiting for Google bookmark sync.
There seem to be apps that will pull in google bookmarks into the browser, but that is of limited use. I want to bookmark something on my phone and have it available in iGoogle on my mac or my work PC. It's really not hard and can't for the life of me fathom why Android doesn't do this out of the box.

One thing I have yet to figure out is how to get my bookmarks syncing between Chrome on my desktop and the stock Android browser. I found a link that purports to be a workaround using Google docs, but it doesn't work for me -- I don't see anything my "My Folders" even though I am syncing my bookmarks in Chrome between three different workstations.

I have a new Samsung Tab 3. Logged in with my Google account. However none of my bookmarks are syncing. Google Dashboard says I have the right number of bookmarks, but none show up in Chrome.

Not too sure whats going on here. just got the Evo and ditched the iPhone. pretty happy so far, of course. i have a friend online who gives me pointers and we are stumped. i have my gmail account setup and working properly. but my Bookmarks are not syncing up. IE: there is a flikr shortcut there and i don't use Flikr. Cnn, Yahoo, Etc all show up and i dont use them. I have google chrome, the newest version and chose to sync bookmarks. but why isnt it going onto the Evo?

I would like to have the same bookmark folder structure on my phone as on the computer. Chrome and stock will do this, but both insist on refreshing old tabs every time they are opened. Opera was great at this, but I can't install it at work. Dolphin proudly says it syncs with Chrome, but does nothing. All others just take all bookmarks out of the folders and throw them in a pile.

I'm using the latest version of Google Maps on JB 4.2.2 [Nexus 4]..I noticed that I cannot edit the names of my locations in "My Places" in the phone app. So I used Google Bookmarks (google.com/bookmarks) from my PC to edit/rename My Places. However, the names do not sync or carry through to the Google Maps app on the phone. The names in the app are still the generic names, coordinates or street names.
Is there any way to change the names of My Places and get them to sync with the phone app? Really baffling!

Google Chrome ships by default with a terrific little feature called "Sync". Sync basically allows you to share your bookmarks on any computer running Google Chrome, simply by configuring Chrome to use your Gmail account. I love this because I have two computers at home, and one at work, and can access all the same bookmarks from any of the computers.
My question is, is anyone aware of a method or application that would allow me to access these synced Google bookmarks through my Android phone? I am using an HTC Desire with Froyo (Cyanogenmod 6.0). I use the Dolphin HD browser, and am aware of options of importing my bookmarks manually, however I prefer to keep my bookmarks organized into folders and not just displayed as one long list. If nothing already exists, I may just get scripty and server up a website that would display all of my Chrome bookmarks in the browser.

I'd like to know how to access my Google Bookmarks via Chrome for my Android. In Chrome (Android), I made sure sync was enabled for my Google account and bookmarks is checked. However, when I open the bookmarks on Chrome (Android), nothing appears. If it's worth anything, these bookmarks were added in Firefox, but again these are Google Bookmarks, not saved locally in Firefox.

I don't use Chrome on my desktop but I do have a ton of bookmarks stored in Google bookmarks, part of Google labs I believe. Is there anyway to sync them with my device? I should mention my PC is down so the answer can't be to use chrome on my desktop.

Recent switcher to Android and owner of brand new Galaxy S4 here. I have two separate Gmail accounts, one for work and one for home. Each has its own Google Calendar. Both accounts are linked to my phone.
However, I want separate apps on my GS4 to handle each Google calendar. My phone came with S Planner and I have added Google Calendar App (GCA) from the Play store.
On S Planner I choose to display the home account calendar - no problems so far. I then switch to GCA and choose to display the work account calendar. Great. However, and this is my problem, these apps now seem to be 'linked', such that when I then go back into S Planner from GCA it is now displaying the work account calendar instead of the home calendar.
In other words, changes in one app seem to be mirrored in the other app. Is there any way around this, so that each app only displays one account calendar?

Is there any way I can add a web page from mobile-chrome (Nexus 4) to 'Google Bookmarks'?
On the desktop, I do this using a bookmarklet (Google Bookmarks - Google Chrome Help) - I just have to click on this and choose the label.
At work I use IE, so whenever I want to bookmark a page, I manually open () and add the URL (is there a better way?) [URL]....
The reason I use Google Bookmarks (and not chrome bookmarks) is to have a centralized, browser/device agnostic repository for bookmarks.

I have a Nexus 4 and Nexus 7.I am trying to sync all my Google Drive photos with my Google + account. In Google + I have checked the box to allow Google Drive to sync with Google Drive. Most of the pictures show up in Google + without a problem. Some however, do not. There doesn't seem to be a rhyme or reason to this either. All of my photo folders. It doesn't seem to be related to one format or another. (Ex. One JPG file is there and another isn't)

Is it still not possible to sync bookmarks from google chrome (pc) browser and another browser on the htc ?
I know it is possible to sync opera desktop version with mobile version but it does not open a few pages correctly on some of the sites i use and i am not too keen on the pc version of opera, its trying to do too much.
Surely i would have thought googles own browser should be able to sync with google mobile browser.

I have tried a gmarks(Google Bookmarks) app and the app named Pocket(formerly read it later), but niether quite fufill my need for syncing web page URLs to the cloud. The Android side of things works sufficent for the most part, but fall short on the Firefox add on side. For example gmarks has tag support so when I view my list, I can organize by categories rather then a long list of URLs. This would be ideal but the two most popular gmarks add ons for Firefox are broken or partially broken. Pocket works great on Android and Firefox, but lacks tags for organizing by a categorey. so I end up with a long list of URLs simply sorted by the time I add them.
I was hoping some one here can recomend an Android App for syncing URLs to the cloud that also has a supported/working Firefox Add on, and it must support tags. Preferably, function similar to Pocket, on Firefox would be nice. What I mean by this is I simply click a button and a small list appears and I do not have to even browse to the companies website to browse my bookmarks. However, I could live with a button that will simply launch the providers website if it comes down to it.

According to what I've read (and the warnings you get during installation), the Google Finance app is supposed to pull your portfolio down from the web version of Google Finance. I have my gmail setup (and it works) and my portfolio is under that same username. Nothing gets pulled down though. Any ideas why? I uninstalled and reinstalled and nothing. I just get a screen under portfolios that lets me add stocks by clicking a button.

For the past few days, the Data Sync symbol is in the status bar constantly. When I go to Menu>Settings>Accounts and Sync>Google>Sync Contacts, the Syncing symbol is rotating and every 10 seconds or so at the bottom of the screen I will get a red excalamation point and note that states "Sync is currently experiencing problems. It will be back shortly." I then cancel sync. What is going on? The one thing I can say is that constantly trying to sync drains battery life VERY quickly!

I have a Droid Eris running Android 1.5. My problem is that when my phone syncs with my Google Calendar, events that aren't on my Google Cal sometimes show up on my phone's calendar. The events that are showing up are events that repeat on a weekly basis but I deleted them for certain weeks on my Google Cal, yet they still show up on my phone. This is starting to become a hassle because I keep thinking that I have to do things when I really don't. I've already cleared the calendar data on my phone and restarted like the Google troubleshooting tips say, but that didn't work.

I try to sync my calendar with google calendar I get a message that's says there is no calendar events currently synced. So I go to settings-accounts-Gmail- and it only gives me the option to sync contacts and gmail, not the calendar. How do I add in the calendar so that I can sync it? I only have the one Gmail account. My friend thinks I may have to remove the gmail account then add it back in, but doing so means I would have to restore factory settings and everything would be deleted. I would hate to have to restore the factory settings.

I currently have an iphone 3g and am going to be switching to an android device. I use google maps quite a bit on my iphone and over the past couple years I have accumulated a lot of bookmarked locations that I have saved on my phone. My question is, is there a way to sync all the locations I have saved on my iphone to my new phone? Or am I going to have to add all the bookmarked locations manually?

I am a new andriod user ( mytouch slide) and I downloaded Jorte because I read that it will not only sync with google calendar but also google taks. The calendar is syncing just fine but the taks are not syncing.
