View 5 RepliesI was wondering if the Evo supports multiple exchange accounts. I have a coworker that has a stock nexus one and he is able to add multiple exchange accounts effortlessly. I know that there are alternative solutions like touchdown and roadsync but why would a stock nexus one be able to and we are not. I would rather not have to install a 3rd party app to get the same experience. Is this a limitation of our version of android or did HTC take this out?

View 3 Replies View RelatedMy wife just got the Droid Inc, which was my first experience with the android os and I have to say, wow! I love it! My only issue is the Droid Inc doesn't support more than one exchange accounts and I have 6. I have read that the original Droid did support multiple exchange accounts, but haven't seen if the droid x does or not. Before I go through the trouble of ordering one and waiting on it to come in, can anybody confirm or deny if the droid x does support multiple exchange account and if so, is there a limit to that number.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am getting my HTC Desire next week and I am moving over from a jail broken iPhone. Now can the desire let me run two Exchange ActiveSync accounts? I use one for work and one for home. Can it do it or is their a 3rd party application that will let me do this?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI just recently came from an iPhone and it seems the android is lacking on the email side of things, perhaps I'm missing something. Is there an app that supports:
- Multiple exchange accounts
- IMAP/POP as well?
I can't even find an app that supports multiple exchange accounts and the apps that do support exchange (touchdown) don't support pop3/imap.
I have a Nexus One running the stock Android 2.1. I've got my normal gmail account that works flawlessly, and also my company's email hosted on google apps. Both accounts are set up, and both work for email, but only the gmail account seems to be able to sync my calendar. Is this a limitation of Android, a setting in the calendar, or a problem with the built-in calendar application? If I can't get the corporate calendar to show up, it seems like a pretty big limitation.
View 5 Replies View RelatedWith Google Talk I'm automatically logged in with my main gmail account. Is there a way to add other gmail accounts to this? Or swap to a different account when I need to? How about non-gmail accounts? Can I add an AIM account, for example? Is there an app that can manage multiple chat accounts? I use Adium on my Mac to have 3 or 4 different chat accounts open (useful for work, people who don't have gmail etc.) and I'd love to do the same thing with my Droid.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'd like to have two GMail (Google Apps mail, if that makes a difference) accounts active at once, both getting new mail notifications, and having the ability to send and reply through both accounts. My current solution is to simply forward all of Account #2's mail to Account #1 -- but then I can't send. Am I missing an option here? Surely this must be possible on Google's OS.
View 3 Replies View Relatedone can have multiple twitter, email etc. accounts on Android (running 4.1.2 on a Galaxy Note), but only one Facebook account. However, I have two of them and I need *both* their contacts sync'd to the contacts database (one is my "private" profile for close friends, the other is for work colleagues etc). Also, the built-in Facebook authentication has the same problem as the contact sync - I don't want to run games like Real Racing under my "public" FB profile.
Any way to make two FB profiles on one device? Maybe with something like a "virtualization"?
I've got two Corporate Exchange Accounts with which I want to be able to Sync both email and calendars with my Fascinate. My wife has the Motorola Droid 2 with Android 2.2 and it supports multiple Corporate Sync (Exchange) Accounts. (She has three exchange accounts - two part time jobs and one for personal). I bought the Fascinate, but after I got home realized it only will support one Corporate Sync account natively. I have downloaded and installed Touchdown temporarily to handle my second Exchange Account, but Touchdown also only supports one account. I'd much prefer to use the same application for both accounts so I can see my calendars overlayed.
As I understood it, Android 2.1 supported multiple exchange accounts, but I think Samsung made a decision to override that, by including an Email app on the Fascinate that only supports one account. Has anybody heard about Fascinate's Android 2.2 (Froyo) update and whether or not it will support multiple Corporate accounts? With the exception of not supporting Multiple Exchange accounts, this phone really hit it out of the park for me. Great screen, thin and light, fast, 3G Hotspot (so I can get rid of my aircard). I'm 4 days into my 30 days with Verizon. I hope we hear something about Fascinate's 2.2 update before then.
I've just added my uni and hotmail exchange accounts to my samsung i5700, and for the past half hour since I've done it the phone has been deadly slow. Do three push services (i.e. hotmail, uni + gmail) hog resources? Or is the slowdown just the phone acclimatising to the new accounts?

Any way or app that would allow us to setup three exchange emails that are each secured by a PIN or password? I've seen that android tablets can now switch users , but I don't think that is available on the phone yet. Phone is a Samsung S4.
View 1 Replies View RelatedIs there any plan to increase the number of Exchange type accounts on HTC Android devices. Maybe in the new Sense Updates? Why did HTC not implement the code included in the stock Androind mail app (since at least 2.1), or at lease leave it alone! Since Hotmail has improved it's service to offer an Exchange style connection option there is a real day to day need to have at least two Exchange accounts on one device. I have been using the stock 2.2 android email client for some time and although it feeds into the unified calender app it does not feed into the Sense contacts ribon etc., I also goes high CPU at times (file conflict?) so is not a suitable workaround. And no I do not wish to use a third party app such as countdown, I like that with HTC's Sense system all things feed into a common thread - third party apps I have found have their own databases for email & calender etc. which I do not want.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI am considering getting a Android based phone, something like a My Touch from TMO or the Nexus One Google phone, however, I have a question about how email works on the Android OS. First, if I have multiple email addresses setup, will they be setup separately or all in one main "mail" box? Second, when I receive a message and respond to it, will it reply from the email address that received the message or will it use a generic email address such as the GMail account that is used to setup the phone? I really like the touchscreen and the fact that the screens are larger than the BlackBerry and it makes the overall experience very nice, however, I am very fluent with the BlackBerry and it does everything I NEED it to do, however, I WANT to have a little more fun with browsing the web, etc.
View 2 Replies View RelatedDoes anyone have information on when or if the Android OS will support two (Multiple) Exchange Accounts like the Pre and iPhone 4 support? I love the Android and I now need to have two Exchange Account due to the college where I teach has just switched to an Exchange system and I have had my own personal Exchange system for a couple of years through 4smartphone. I am new to Android having just switched from a TP2 (WMO) to HTC EVO.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI just got my aria and love it. My problem is I have two yahoo accounts. One regular and one junk. How can I use both but in different ways. The regular I want notifications the other not. I have downloaded the yahoo app. Is there anyway to have two yahoo apps. The gmail is being used for important emails and the HTC mail is being used for work exchange mail so neither is available.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am waiting for my Aria to be delivered. Has anybody used the native exchange mail on 2.1? How does it perform? I heard a lot of good things about Touchdown for exchange. Can I get that with the 3rd party restrictions that ATT has on the android market? If so I remember reading about a work around but can't remember what it was.

I've been testing Touchdown for the past few weeks and like it but before I pay for it, I was wondering if Froyo might fix the following:
ability to accept meeting invites
properly render html e-mail
properly sync Outlook tasks
better handling of corporate folders

View 13 Replies View RelatedMy Android app has a ContactsList activity in which I simply display a list of contacts that are on the phone. Only recently I noticed that my activity only displays contacts synced with my main Google account. I have two Google accounts on my test phone and ideally I want my activity to display the contacts for both accounts (or multiple accounts). How do I query across multiple accounts?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI would like to build an application that caters for multiple accounts (eg. home, work) and account types (e.g. ISP, VoIP, Mobile). Essentially, I would like to get the user to create the accounts they want and then have all the accounts listed on the start page grouped by type.
For example:
ISP:
- Home
- Work
Mobile:
- Mum
- Dad
When you click on the account, it would take you to another screen where I do a bunch of calcs and display the results.
I currently do this via multiple apps but am looking at consolidating into the one app. I am just not sure where to start or how I go about achieving this? The way the Contacts app works is a good example of what I am wanting to do.
I have a Galaxy Nexus with Stock 4.0.4 ROM and a Transformer Prime also with the stock ASUS firmware (4.0.3), The company where I work has a mail server that supports exchange (Kerio Connect) At that server I have (because I need it that way) 2 different accounts, I need one of those accounts to synchronize everything; contacts, mail, calendar, and the other one to synchronize only calendar appointments.
If I configure the first account everything works just fine. But, when I configure the second account, I start receiving login errors for both accounts every certain time, the apps shows me the option to update my account credentials and when I do it works for the moment but after a while it fails again. If I delete whichever of the two accounts the other works fine.
I have not tested this scenario against other email servers, so I'm not sure if this a problem with my server or if this is an Android problem.
Both accounts are configured as Exchange accounts from Settings menu.
