One thing I noticed about the HTC Eris over the Moto Droid is it seems to be missing the Corporate Calendar app. I want keep my gmail calendar and my Outlook calendar separate like I could on the Moto Droid. Am I being a total n00b and missing something here?

I just updated to Froyo and noticed that my corporate calendar is missing. Does anyone know where I can download a copy of this program - it is not in the market.

Just curious he has an idears or anyone here has come up with anything.AppBrain was able to add it to my list online, but when I sync'd on my phone and selected it, all it does is launch the Market app with a search term for that app, so it doesn't show up.This kinda makes me think that 2.1 #2 is not final.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI'm using Companion Link to sync my Outlook with Gmail and thus to my Eris. So far it works flawlessly. All my calendar events show up, all details and notes included. The one weird problem I'm having is that while all of my calendar events show up in Outlook, and in the Gmail calendar, AND on the Eris calendar in either Month View (it shows the notch indicating an event that day) or in Day View (all events are correctly displayed) but --- if I switch to Agenda View, most of my events are NOT displayed. All Day events are all displayed as a few "timed events", but most timed events are not. Can't figure it out. I know the data is there. It is correctly displayed in every place and in every way EXCEPT Agenda View.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have been getting the message 'as meeting organizer no response is required' in Outlook when people send me updates and I am not the meeting organizer. From reading around it seems it may be an issue with syncing the calendar which I have stopped but it did not fix the appointments.
I was looking for a way to do a one way sync or something but have not come across a way to do this in corporate sync. Not sure the issue but was hoping someone here may have seen the same issue. By the way email and contacts work just fine.
I was able to use widget called Corporate Calendar. I then rooted and installed a new ROM. I cannot seem to track down the application.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI was using 2.1update1 which was rooted using easyroot. I deleted a few stock applications that i didn't need such as corporate calendar, visual voice mail, and amazon mp3. Now after attempting to apply the OTA 2.2 update, i receive the following error message:
assert failed: apply_patch_check("/system/app/CorpCal.apk")
followed by a bunch of numbers and letters
and then
E:Error in /sdcard/update.zip
(status 7)
Installation Aborted.
Any ideas what I'm doing wrong? Did i need that Corporate Calendar app for some reason?
I just purchased my Moto Droid last week. It has been great to this point with few problems. The one item I have not been able to figure out is as follows:
When I input an event on my corporate calendar on the Droid it does not sync back to my exchange server calendar. It works great in the other direction.
Has anyone removed any or all of the calendar apps without causing any problems to the phone. I'd like to ditch all of them if I could because I will never use them, but I'd at least like to get rid of the corporate calendar. Just want to make sure the calendar applications are not needed for normal phone functioning.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI set up my corp exchange email account and the email part of it works flawlessly. The calendar on the other hand is very quirky. On the first Sync I noticed that not ALL appointments were brought over from my Outlook Calendar. Upon researching it seems that the meetings not coming over are all recurring meetings. Some were from other people that I was invited too but most were recurring meetings I had created on my own calendar.
I did some testing to isolate the behavior:
Create single appointment in Outlook
It shows up perfectly on the Fascinate.
In outlook change the appointment to recur monthly
Appointment vanishes from Fascinate.
Remove recurrence from appointment in Outlook
It comes back to Fascinate.
The same behavior can be seen when creating a fresh appointment with recurrence. The problem seems to be isolated also to recurrence set for the "every third wednesday" or something similar. It works for monthly on the 20th for instance.
Firmware version is: 2.1-Update1
Build: SCH-I500.DI01 (downloaded today and did not correct sync issue)
I have an Exchange account with my school that I sync my email and contacts to my android phone with no problems. However, the school made a shared calendar for our class schedules that I added to my Exchange account (by adding the URL), but this calendar will not sync to my phone. If I create my own events in my personal calendar, that works fine and shows up, but the calendar that I added from the school will not. It shows up just fine on Outlook on the PC.
My current solution is to just add that calendar to my google account and sync it, but the problem with that is that our class schedules can sometimes change suddenly and gmail doesn't sync very often, which has led to some problems for me in the past. I would much rather have the direct syncing of the calendar to my phone instead of through google.
What makes it more aggravating is that my friend has no problem syncing the calendar with iOS, so I know it should be possible. I've tried using Touchdown but that has the same problem.Here is an image from the Outlook Web app showing both calendars

I switched recently from a black berry to an Android 2.3 powered device - Samsung Stratosphere on Verizon.
Email invite messages from Outlook for meetings do not show the calendar detail. Specifically, I can not see the date and time of the meeting invitations. I can perform actions to "Accept", "Decline", or Tentative" the meeting invitation. Unfortunately, there isn't any meeting detail so I don't know when the meeting is scheduled.
This is very frustrating and makes the Samsung Stratosphere or possibly the Android platform not fit for corporate environments. If I can not get this to work I will be switching to an iPhone and I will recommend to my entire corporate enterprise that we avoid Android based Smart Devices.
The Black Berry BEZ environment also provided information on meeting conflicts when you are sent a meeting invitation.
So the large calendar widget that I placed on my home screen used to show dark little tabs in the corner of everyday that I had an event. While I was looking through it, all of the little tabs disappeared and I have no idea what days I have events unless I go into the actual calendar app. Is there any way to keep them there permanently?

I know that the Nexus One has come out and been the center of attention but the Eris seems no where to be found. If you do a search on the site you can find the user manual(PDF) and some press release but that's about it. I sent an email to them asking whats up but has anyone else noticed this? This really worries me that it is gone, specially when I am expecting a nice 2.1 update(fingers crossed) on the 22nd.I don't know what was up but I just check back and the site is completely different then it was 10mins ago and I mean like a total makeover. I must have been sent over to a backup server that doesn't run flash and is out of date or something. Even the search results came back different!
