Has anyone removed any or all of the calendar apps without causing any problems to the phone. I'd like to ditch all of them if I could because I will never use them, but I'd at least like to get rid of the corporate calendar. Just want to make sure the calendar applications are not needed for normal phone functioning.

I have 4 corporate calendar icons on my home screen that I don't want there anymore. However, they are not deleting. I tried dragging them to the trash can, but nothing happens.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have been getting the message 'as meeting organizer no response is required' in Outlook when people send me updates and I am not the meeting organizer. From reading around it seems it may be an issue with syncing the calendar which I have stopped but it did not fix the appointments.
I was looking for a way to do a one way sync or something but have not come across a way to do this in corporate sync. Not sure the issue but was hoping someone here may have seen the same issue. By the way email and contacts work just fine.
I was able to use widget called Corporate Calendar. I then rooted and installed a new ROM. I cannot seem to track down the application.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI set up my corp exchange email account and the email part of it works flawlessly. The calendar on the other hand is very quirky. On the first Sync I noticed that not ALL appointments were brought over from my Outlook Calendar. Upon researching it seems that the meetings not coming over are all recurring meetings. Some were from other people that I was invited too but most were recurring meetings I had created on my own calendar.
I did some testing to isolate the behavior:
Create single appointment in Outlook
It shows up perfectly on the Fascinate.
In outlook change the appointment to recur monthly
Appointment vanishes from Fascinate.
Remove recurrence from appointment in Outlook
It comes back to Fascinate.
The same behavior can be seen when creating a fresh appointment with recurrence. The problem seems to be isolated also to recurrence set for the "every third wednesday" or something similar. It works for monthly on the 20th for instance.
Firmware version is: 2.1-Update1
Build: SCH-I500.DI01 (downloaded today and did not correct sync issue)
I just updated to Froyo and noticed that my corporate calendar is missing. Does anyone know where I can download a copy of this program - it is not in the market.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have an Exchange account with my school that I sync my email and contacts to my android phone with no problems. However, the school made a shared calendar for our class schedules that I added to my Exchange account (by adding the URL), but this calendar will not sync to my phone. If I create my own events in my personal calendar, that works fine and shows up, but the calendar that I added from the school will not. It shows up just fine on Outlook on the PC.
My current solution is to just add that calendar to my google account and sync it, but the problem with that is that our class schedules can sometimes change suddenly and gmail doesn't sync very often, which has led to some problems for me in the past. I would much rather have the direct syncing of the calendar to my phone instead of through google.
What makes it more aggravating is that my friend has no problem syncing the calendar with iOS, so I know it should be possible. I've tried using Touchdown but that has the same problem.Here is an image from the Outlook Web app showing both calendars

View 5 Replies View RelatedI was using 2.1update1 which was rooted using easyroot. I deleted a few stock applications that i didn't need such as corporate calendar, visual voice mail, and amazon mp3. Now after attempting to apply the OTA 2.2 update, i receive the following error message:
assert failed: apply_patch_check("/system/app/CorpCal.apk")
followed by a bunch of numbers and letters
and then
E:Error in /sdcard/update.zip
(status 7)
Installation Aborted.
Any ideas what I'm doing wrong? Did i need that Corporate Calendar app for some reason?
I just purchased my Moto Droid last week. It has been great to this point with few problems. The one item I have not been able to figure out is as follows:
When I input an event on my corporate calendar on the Droid it does not sync back to my exchange server calendar. It works great in the other direction.
I just got an LG Ally on Wednesday, and it's constantly restarting itself. I've decided to just go and exchange it. How can I remove all of my data on the phone?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI upgraded to an LG Ally with Verizon. I do like the phone, but the calendar app is driving me CRAZY! I keep my calendar and task list on AnyTime Organizer. I used to sync this with a Dell PDA. I cannot sync it with the Ally, but I can sync it with Outlook. The phone wants me to sync with Google. I have a Google account, so I sync AnyTime to Outlook, and Outlook to Google. (I've already heard what you're thinking: just use Google.) I am new to Google too, and do not like the clean appearance of Google compared to Outlook.
Bottom line: When using the process above, I was getting duplicate events. A tech friend did a soft reset on the phone and cleared it out so I could start over. Now, when I run the process described, I get only some events on the phone, and not all, even though the calendars in both Outlook and Google look exactly correct. I wiped out my Google calendar to reset it, and the phone still shows events.

View 1 Replies View Relatedthis isnt the same as all the others, i rooted my phone and was able to download apps for a few minutes, after that all my apps would sit at "starting Download" i would wait hours for it to work but nothing ever changed. i paniked and reset factory settings on my phone so i only have stock apps and SU, the catch is it wont let me delete SU so my warrantee is void. also when i try to reboot recovery it looks like it will then goes black and starts normally. is there a way to remove SU or reboot recovery another way? i would be fine if the market started working again please help.
