May 13, 2010someone tell me what does it mean to have Free Yahoo on the Eris? You can already have you Yahoo mail forward to your gmail so I dont get it.

Feb 18, 2010If i place the Widet that covers up the whole screen called Stocks by Yahoo. Then click it to open it I can add a stock or index. However, right under that text it says *This service may result in additional charges from your wireless provider. It's Yahoo Finance Stocks which comes with the phone. Anyone know if it cost extra money to use? Also if I go into settings/wireless controls/mobile network settings/ data roaming (connect to data services when roaming) and check that does it cost extra money to use 3G when the phone is roaming? Do you guys have "enable always-on mobile" (uses more power on some mobile networks) checked?

Jun 18, 2010Where the hell is the Yahoo Messenger App for Android? I have an Eris on Verizon and there is no Yahoo Mess. app on there. I don't want Meebo or eBuddy, just an official Messenger app. Is there one in development, is there some sort of rift between Yahoo & Android ? I noticed this same problem with my Palm Pixi too. No standard Yahoo app on their either.

Aug 1, 2010I have been using the Yahoo messenger app for the last week or so without problems, but today I have not been able to receive any messages. A phone call to a friend confirmed they were getting them from me, but I could not see anything back from them. One friend said she sent me over 50 messages throughout the day, to see if I would get one. I was signed in at the time, but never saw any of them. When I got home, I signed in on the computer and was hoping to see a flood of the messages, but nothing popped up. My guess is, the messages were getting sent and confirmed, since I was signed in through the phone, but the app was not displaying them.

May 23, 2010After the OTA I have discovered (to my frustration) that the email I have been deleting from my Eris is being permanently deleted from my Yahoo Plus account. I have searched here and all over trying to see if there is new settings or what but can't find anything to include the "don't delete from server" setting for the account.
With my other yahoo accounts (free) I didn't have the option to keep them on the server and accepted that as it was a struggle to get the free accounts up early on.
Keep the emails I delete from my phone on the server?

Anyways, I am most likely going to get the Droid Eris...seems to be the best phone for me that Verizon has to offer. The Moto Droid is just ugly in my opinion, and I hate the keyboard it has.Back on topic, I have read that you cannot get Yahoo email on Droid phones. Is there any way that you can get around that system and get Yahoo email accounts synced to the phone without having to pay for Yahoo Plus? I just freed up 10 MB of internal memory by deleting MMS messages. I deleted entire threads, and in some cases, individual MMS messages (pictures and videos), because i didn't want to loose the whole thread.

Jan 13, 2010I love the ERIS and have had it since late November. Over the last few weeks it has been lagging really bad. I have been so busy at work and home that I have not had time to try and get it back to working correctly.
Right now my up time is 32:09:02
Awake Time is 6:25:17 (20%)
I plugged it in to the computer and it is showing 6.89 gb free out of 7.39gb. Anyone have any ideas?
