Whenever I back out of a screen mainly txt msg, I get something highlighted in orange, and when I back out into the home screen it does the same thing. Usually it highlights either the phone shortcut or the wifi icon in my power bar.

I don't know how I did it, but on my home screen, originally I saw this:with the phone on the left, 2nd home screen to get to all the apps, and the contacts button to the right with the 5-7 screens.somehow I got it on some "Linux" mode where when I press anywhere on the screen, it will shrink to three small windows, two of which are empty and 1 of the windows only displays the following icons: Droid Market, Browser, and Maps along with a dock at the bottom. I want to go back to the way it was beforehand. Does anyone know how to fix this?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI've had my Moto Droid since it basically came out last Nov and I have never ever run into a problem with the phone until last night. I had a phone call and after I got off the phone, I noticed my droid reseted itself and it wasn't going back to the home screen. Meaning it would just display the word "Droid" then go right into the droid red eye screen, then right back to the word Droid and just kept repeating itself.
I took the battery out and put it back in, but it kept doing the same thing. I am really not sure what would cause my phone to do this, but the only new change I can think of was that I installed the "TMZ" application to my droid about 3 hours prior to this happening. But the application worked fine and I really hope it wasn't because of that. Is there anything I can do before going to Verizon? I would really hate giving up my phone with all my stuff in it, but I know theres probably not much I can do if I cant even get to the home screen.
Just looking for a simple way to remove the text below any icons on my home screen. For example, since I already know what the phone app icon looks like, there's no reason I need to see the text. This is purely for aesthetics.
View 7 Replies View RelatedRight, my problem is that the orange home screen is starting itself up. I'm not selecting it and its not my default one so it shouldn't be being used. Looking at Task manager it looks like it's self launching. How can I prevent this? I wouldn't really bother if it was just this but it launches 9 other apps along with it which are using up my data allowance and battery. It's really annoying and only just started happening out of the blue with out any new apps being installed or changed. Task manager is shutting it down when the screen turns off but it just relaunches itself every time and I'm sick of my battery being eaten.

I would like to run the desire without the sense UI and instead just run the plain android UI for a while, my problem is that when I disable Sense I am just left with the Orange home screen selector! Does anyone know how I turn that off and run the basic android? or am I stuck with these skins?

Is this normal? Did I accidental do it in the settings? HELP its driving me crazy

I don't know if I'm missing something in the settings or what, but every time I shake my Eris while running an app the screen automatically goes back th the home screen. This gets really annoying when using apps that require such actions. Anyone else having this issue or know what I'm doing wrong. Maybe an app that's causing it.
View 2 Replies View RelatedWhenever I am using any app and press the home button, the home screen blacks out for a few secs and it takes around 10 sec to get all the icons back and before I can start using my phone again. I am using a non rooted mytouch 3g.
This problem does not happen if I exit an app by pressing the back button. It becomes very annoying at times.

I tried Handcent and I'm now using ChompSMS. With Chomp you get this tiny little ticker at the top of the screen, that is all. Is it possible to have that feature with this phone?

It FCed in edit mode, while editing a custom tray, and now (for the past several hours), I can't get it to stop it's FC loop. View 15 Replies View RelatedI just got my first android phone, the droid x yesterday. Loving it so far but I've got a minor issue that drives me insane (even though it really is a non issue). I've got the volume keys on the right, and then the home and back keys at the bottom front. Whenever I click home or back, they do the home and back function, but also do volume up and volume down with every click. Its painfully annoying, because it vibrates and pops up the volume window over the top of everything, every time. And obviously, the home and back keys are two of the most clicked buttons on the phone, so its constantly going up n down. I think this also adds to battery drainage as its double functioning/working twice as much. Does anyone know of a way to disable the home lkey and back key from controlling my volume as well?

Also, have you noticed that sometimes that pressing the power button will not wake the phone up? And when my phone call ends, it takes a while for the screen to come back from black so I can end the call. I just did the OTA 2.1 installation (from 1.5), and currently I'm setting up my home screens to match how they looked before the upgrade. I previously had an icon called "Albums" that would take me to a listing of video, camera, and download albums. I kind of remember installing it from Programs, but now I can't find it there. I've also looked under the HTC and Android widgets, and under Shortcuts, and it's nowhere to be found.
Anyone know how I can get it back?
So I was personalizing my phone today, when I removed the "Add a Contact" bar from the second screen to the left. No problem. I'll go look in the "+" categories and find it. I can't. Any ideas how to get it back? If you haven't changed any of the screens, scroll to the one just left of the first home screen...that bar.
