I have the HTC clock weather widget on my home screen and have the phone set to get email from my aol account. The weather never updates (will show a sunny day at night) and the mail has also stopped updating. Is there a connection? the GPS is on. Sometimes i will get a message on screen saying com.htc.provider has stopped force close? I dont know what that means.
any ideas?

After the OTA update, just got it yesterday, now the HTC weather app isn't working! The widget isn't showing any weather data, and when I try to update it manually from within the app, it says no weather data available.

I heard that there were issues with several gvoice updates, so I haven't updated google voice since 0.2.8 and it is working just fine- every call connects, no problems. Is it worth updating to the newest version of google voice with push? For those of you with 2.1 on your Eris- does google voice work for you?
View 12 Replies View RelatedOK so if you use POP3 on several computers to get gmail, you may be familiar with this. Basically it makes it so every client gets your email. Anyhow heres my problem, freakin PoS default android email will not recognize it as a correct username. Is anyone familiar with this? Know a better email client than the default (and don't suggest K-9 please, I'm currently using it and hate it). I wish someone would get the HTC mail app to work on vanilla.

The android widgets only show an analog clock and I can't find any widgets under HTC widgets. Nothing. At all. No widgets whatsoever... Anybody had this issue, can help me out here? View 6 Replies View RelatedI did a factory reset because i thought it would fix a number of problems i had before and after the 2.1 OTA.
1. HTC's weather app wouldn't update on it's own or manually (sometimes) (not a force close issue)
2. Mobile network issue. Places where i would get 3-4 bars got 1-2 (sometimes 3) and the "D" under 3G mostly changes to the up down arrow. This was on 1.5 and might have to wait maybe another day to see if this continue on 2.1.
3. apps is my main issue. I know all the apps are in the download section on the market and i saved my apps in the SD card but when I reinstalled, scores and profiles from different apps and not there. Is there a way to restore the apps to where there they where before the factory reset instead of the apps acting like it's been just downloaded.
HTC Weather Widget always worked fine. Not sure when it quit but now it is stuck on New York (where I have never had the phone ...), wont display the current location, and wont update the temps.

My first problem is that my swype is not working right anymore. It will let me type, but it will not let me swype. It says that this was configured for a previous version or something. My second problem is that my weather app force closes all the time. Is there I fix for that also?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm having a problem with the clock/weather widget on my Hero. I have it set to Current City and I noticed the other day that the weather wasn't updating. ( I live in Long Beach, CA) It was stuck on one weather. I especially noticed when it still said partly sunny at 11pm. It doesn't work even if i try to manually update.
I thought it was just the current city function that was having trouble registering but when I go to other cities nearby it updates fine. And when I specifically set it to Long Beach, CA, it was still stuck and not updating.
Anyone else having this problem? Is there something wrong with the weather equipment in Long Beach?
Now that I've updated to 2.1, most of the apps (weather and time apps) no longer work correctly.I live in Panama City Beach but these apps continue to tell me I am slightly north of Tallahassee over 100 miles away and in a different time zone. Stays the same regardless of GPS on or off,I have deleted and re-installed all of the offending programs and that didn't help either.Everything was great prior to the update.

View 1 Replies View RelatedSo since the 2.1 OTA my weather widget will display the city, but no weather icon. if i sync it manually, it will show up. with 1.5 it would update every 3 hours, regardless if i had Background data on or off (i normally keep it off).
so now with 2.1 it wont sync unless i have BG data on, or do it manually. any way around this?
for some reason i can't seem to set up my personal yahoo email account. i keep getting an error saying i'm not authenticated? i just logged in with this pc and didn't have any problems. i was trying to set it up using the mail widget google /gmail worked just fine with their widget are they trying to just force me to use gmail only anyone have any similar problems and/or tips to get it set up. i would like to move to one email account but you know how it is, you get on, you get another, people have the old address guess i could forward yahoo to gmail.

HTC Weather Widget broken?
Mine worked for a day and now I get the location but no weather update.
All other locations display all info fine.
Im in Australia on Vodafone - although from the previous mentioned thread seems to be software related rather than carrier location
I recently flashed the Cyanogenmod 6.0.0-RC3 ROM onto my Moto Droid, and also installed a Simple Black Bar theme from their forum. Now, my Weahter and Toggle Widget app doesn't show up on the list of widgets when I long press my screen. I reinstalled it, and it worked, but then any time after that when I reboot my phone or unplug it from my computer, it will fail to load, and again won't show up on the widget list. Is this a bug in RC3? How can I go about fixing this?

For some reason the weather portion of the News and Weather app has stopped working (I believe this started yesterday). The app simply says "Sorry, weather currently unavailable." My Beautiful Widgets weather is just fine. Has this happened to anyone else?

View 6 Replies View RelatedI want to add my gmail settings to the native mail app and use that for gmail instead of using the gmail app. I dont like how you cant attach a file other than a photo using the gmail app and I like the layout of the native mail app.If you add your gmail account to the native mail app can you still receive push email? I plan on disabling the sync settings for google in the main settings but that shouldn't affect an account added to the main mail app.
