HTC Droid Eris :: Sound Notification Options Widget

I'm looking for a fast way to simply turn off all sound notifications, except for incoming phone calls.On my BB, there were different sound profiles, and I used to use 'Phone Only' quite a bit. I still wanted SMS and Email to come in, but I wanted those to be silent.I realize I can dive down into Menu > Setting and do it manually, but I'm looking for something simpler like an app or widget.I could turn off Mobile Network via a widget, but like I said above, I still want SMS and Email to come in, just not make a sound.Any ideas?

I tried to delete all my text messages by going to manage applications, force stop on it and clear data. It didn't delete my messages but now the options to set a specific notification sound for text messages is grayed out.
1. How do I delete ALL text messages from ALL contacts?
2. How do I un-grey the notification sound options?

Is there a way to have a different notification sound for receiving an email versus receiving a text message? Right now it's the same sound for both.

All of a sudden I can't figure out how to disable the notification sound (like when I get a new email). I have gone into sounds and selected notification sound and expected there to be an option for silent among the other sounds but no dice. And I don't see any other way to turn it off. I know it is probably incredibly obvious, but I just can't figure it out.

So I never had this problem before, and I don't know what I may have changed that started it. Before my eris would play the notification sound within a second of the vibration. Now, my phone lags for about 2 or 3 seconds, vibrating first, then ringing. use the native SMS program, and I don't want to have to download any new apps like chompSMS or anything, I just want my phone to start working again.

Back when I got my phone, I transfered an MP3 from the computer to the SD card and selected it as ringtone. it is still there and still works.....but now, after the OTA update, when I go into settings/phone ringtone this sound is not on the list. How do I get it back?
Also, under notifications, in the list of sounds the ones on my SD card are not there. I have a sound stored on the card that I would like to set as the notification. I mounted the card to my computer to verify that these files are indeed on the SD card. The phone just isn't seeing them in the list of available sounds...but, they do play if I go into MP3 or Music app.

I had my notification tone set to a sound from a soundboard. I had downloaded from Android market, I have got sick of it and uninstalled the soundboard and set a different tone but now I get no notification tone at all even though it shows that I have a new notification tone set.

I have set a notification sound for both my ring and notification. When I recieve my text messages now, the phone only vibrates. It used to always give me the notification sound as well. Ringer notification is fine. It is not set in the vibrate mode.

I have an mp3 that I want to use as my notification and text message sound. It was on my computer. I have emailed it to myself and I am able to download it to my droid eris.
On my Eris, it appears in my music section. How do I set it as my notification sound? It is not appearing in the "sound" list for notifications.

I've heard from several sources and it's even in the app's description. How do I reply, delete, or archive from the Gmail app? I feel like I'm the only one not in on some big joke or something. I have found no conceivable way to do any of these actions with this app! I'm on a stock Droid DNA running 4.1 btw.

when I long press on my homescreen to add a widget (say Pandora's widget) I have to scroll through a TON of crap. 5 different beautiful widget options, 7 calendar pad pro options, 6 contact widget options, 6 folder organizer widget options, etc. Most of those I know I will NEVER EVER use. How can I remove them from my "choose widget". My phone is rooted, and one app I used, pure calendar, gave me the option of which "choose widget" menu options to show. So I know it exists somewhere.

I'm developing an app where I want to play a regular sound clip, like for example when a ball bounces or a rocket fires, small wav files which are called repeatedly.I have been using the android.media.SoundPool class but this has known issues and after a few runs it locks up the application. As far as I can tell from my research, this has not been fixed, which is really frustrating as it's been the case since 1.5.What other options do I have? There are plenty of games on the market which use sound, so there must be something out there!

I have a s3 on 4.1.2 that when I try to open Options > Sound it hangs for about 3 seconds then puts me back to the desktop with no message.
Ive done factory resets etc with no change.

I'm running Evil Eris 2.0.1, and about 20 mins ago I plugged in my phone and it says debugging is enabled, but the USB options screen, with mount, charge, etc. didn't appear. What I was doing was trying to get the eclair lock screen, so I had installed the .zip through the restore screen. When I rebooted, I could no longer see the screen. I tried removing startup manager, which people said caused problems, but still it didn't work. I restored to a nandroid backup from before the lock screen change and that didn't work. I'm restored to an earlier backup when I knew everything worked and when I boot, debugging comes up but the usb options do not.

Is there a widget or shortcut that would bring up the phone options dialog that is seen when you long press the end/power button? That would solve some of the misery of not being able to easily switch the 3G on/off without using Sense and the HTC Mobile widget.

I was reading about the ability to add what some consider to be a "better" keyboard for their Android phone (HTC's default keyboard ?) and how to install it. That said, what does the default/standard Android keyboard look like and is it available somewhere/somehow to install ?
I tried the (Google ?) keyboard available from the market (AnySoftKeyboard) but didn't like it.

I am looking for the default sound files from the Incredible. Specifically, I am looking to the "doot" sound when you press the volume slider. Does anyone have this sound file? It is not located with the alarms, notification, or ringtones. Also, as an added bonus, I am looking for the notification sound from SportsTap as well.

I was installing sdk and htc sync and went to run 'adb shell' to make sure everything was set up right. When it said "device not found" I tried to sync it only to find out that now I have no options to sync or mount. When plugged in by usb I get nothing in the notification bar at all. It will charge but now I can't even mount my phone

Ok so how the )(_#*$& do i dismiss an alarm that is NOT active. IE alarm goes off, I accidentally hit snooze, but want it dismissed. I can't seem to figure out how to open the dismiss/snooze options once they poof.

I use my verizon email on my droid, and would like to know how to turn off the notification sound. It will tell me that I have new email; if I don't read or delete all the new ones, it will keep reminding me every minute or so. Is there a way to turn of this notification sound?
