I have a s3 on 4.1.2 that when I try to open Options > Sound it hangs for about 3 seconds then puts me back to the desktop with no message.
Ive done factory resets etc with no change.

BBC iPlayer switches my tablet off if I try to resume playing a downloaded programme after I've switched tablet off. I emailed iplayer support who claimed they had not come across this problem. I think it might have been since 4.4.2 was installed.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am porting a WiFi driver to ANDROID JB-MR1 using a proprietary tarball for a MIPS based platform. When I build and load ANDROID binaries, everything is fine -- except that, I am unable to see Wireless & Networks options on the Settings screen. All the 3 options related to Wireless & Network settings (to enable WiFi, Bluetooth and Data usage) have disappeared from the settings page. However all other items in the page are in tact.
* I am able to build, load the WiFi driver, launch wpa_supplicant and even scan for Routers using command line (wpa_cli).
* I think I have all the changes needed in hardware/libhardware_legacy/wifi/wifi.c
* My frameworks/base/packages/SystemUI/AndroidManifest.xml file has the entry:
<uses-permission android:name="android.permission.CHANGE_WIFI_STATE " />
I recently added an exchange account which I then removed. Now my only lock screen security option is "password". I'd like to use pattern lock again.
I don't have any device administrators nor any exchange accounts anymore.
Is there any way to restore the settings to what they once were?
I have bought this android tablet china made. I have successfully download the both BBC IPLAYER apps from Play store but when I play I get only sound but no video? However TV Catchup and youtube is working fine. The tablet runs on 4.2.2 jelly bean and having A20 dualcore processor.

When I restarted my phone after a day for some other reason, I realised that my Sound Search app wasn't there on the home screen anymore and was neither in the widget list.
I tried to download an apk but it just says that this file already exists, so I'm not sure what to do!!
I jut picked up a Samsung Galaxy S3, and I am trying to change my notification sound for text messages. I put an MP3 file in the appropriate folder, and selected it in the settings menu on messaging. It keeps reverting back to the old default message notification sound.
How to get it to believe I want to use a different sound?
Whenever I put my samsung s4 on silent or mute, and then receive an SMS it changes my sound profile to normal. I just can't figure out why. I have automate but disabled it and it still happens.

I recently updated my S3 to run Jelly Bean 4.3, and now when I receive a text it both vibrates and plays the notification sound rather than just the notification sound as it used to. I can't seem to find a way to turn this off?

I select the page where all the apps are...select xbmc app...sometimes it flicks back to main apps page other times the screen turns black/blank. As far as I can tell from my research, this has not been fixed, which is really frustrating as it's been the case since 1.5.What other options do I have? But i found device crash as soon as it executes reading, writing and play. But the same code works fine and plays the lesser size audio wav files(10kb, 20 kb files etc) very well.
P.S: I should play PCM(.wav) buffer sound, the reason behind why i use AudioTrack here. Though my device has lesser memory, how would i read bigger audio files bytes by bytes and play the sound to avoid crashing due to memory constraints. Code...

I'm looking for a fast way to simply turn off all sound notifications, except for incoming phone calls.On my BB, there were different sound profiles, and I used to use 'Phone Only' quite a bit. I still wanted SMS and Email to come in, but I wanted those to be silent.I realize I can dive down into Menu > Setting and do it manually, but I'm looking for something simpler like an app or widget.I could turn off Mobile Network via a widget, but like I said above, I still want SMS and Email to come in, just not make a sound.Any ideas?

I've tried GoSMS Pro, Textra, Handcent, Hangouts,... nothing else will send an MMS. It tries, and then just switches over to retrying until I force quite the app, or send another regular, text only message.
I've tried signing in/out, Hard reset, turning it off and on again,...

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am using Profile Scheduler +, and have set the default ringtone to the stock SMS app to specific sound (Sound 02) since it only works for stock apps and not 3rd party ones.
In GoSMS, I get dual notifications. When I select the setting (Disable Other Message Notification), I don't get dual notifications on the notification bar and Sound 02 does not play.
how to get rid of the dual notification but may it use Sound 02 as the default? I have Sound 01 used the default notification for emails, etc.
I updated my phone (GS3) two days ago and after I did I have 4 "download complete" notifications that won't go away. Even after clearing them they come back. The files cannot even be located on my phone anywhere. I downloaded these ages ago through Chrome.
