Aug 9, 2010yesterday on the way home from a road trip I had my phone playing pandora while plugged into a car charger when the notification light started blinking back and fourth from green to orange, anyone have any idea what this is about?
Also I've got the low storage space notification, has the answer to that been decided as do a factory reset?

Aug 4, 2010I am looking for the default sound files from the Incredible. Specifically, I am looking to the "doot" sound when you press the volume slider. Does anyone have this sound file? It is not located with the alarms, notification, or ringtones. Also, as an added bonus, I am looking for the notification sound from SportsTap as well.

Oct 25, 2010So my Dinc which I bought on launch day blew the front speaker yesterday. I called Verizon and they are shipping me a brand new Dinc out today. My question is, I have already rooted my phone and installed like 50 apps on it with tons of other crap, settings, data, etc. I have made multiple nandroid backups and titanium backups. Can I just save the backups on my SD card then get my hands on the new Dinc, root that one as well then use my backups on the SD card to just load everything on to the new phone so I don't have to go through the process of re-setting up my entire phone again?

Sep 15, 20101. No sound notification. When I am texting someone back and forth, I have to back out of the thread or I do not get notified that they have responded. If I leave it open, I sit there forever thinking the person didn't respond only to wake up my phone and see that they actually did.... 10 minutes ago. Anyone else have this issue?
2. When I turn my phone on in the morning, I never get notified of new email. I have to open my mail and click refresh. I have tried letting it go thinking it would notify me at the update interval I have set, and that never happened. I went almost 2 hours until I had a new email notification, and that was because I sent something to myself to test it.
HTC Incredible :: Odd Facebook Notification Sound
May 15, 2010Every time I receive a Facebook notification on my Incredible, what I can only describe as a slow song plays for a few seconds. I have no recollection of setting a mp3 for the notification sound and even if I did, the song is played so slowly that it is distorted. Does anyone else have this issue? Can't I just have the default notification sound play when I have a Facebook update? Sorry if I missed a thread somewhere, but I have been searching for quite a while and I am fearful that I am the only one with this problem.

Jul 15, 2010I have two questions being a relatively new Incredible owner (2.5 weeks). I wanted to know the best way to assign my own mp3/wav as a Notification sound. I know how to do it for the ringtones, but I don't see a way to add new notifications.
The other question is if there is a way to assign a different notification sound to emails and texts independently, i.e. a different sound for email than for texts.
HTC Incredible :: Cannot Change Voicemail Notification Sound
May 23, 2010I cannot change the voicemail notification sound. I go to messages ->settings scroll down to voicemail notification setting and then change the notification sound. But for some reason when I get a voicemail it plays a sound that I selected as notification sound in Sound & Display setting. The same sound that is used for email notification.

May 16, 2010I keep running into a weird scenario with my Incredible (non-rooted, Android 2.1) where the notification sound changes to one of the other files on my SD card. I can't seem to make the notification sound stick.For example: this morning, I unmounted the SD card after syncing with Doubletwist on my PC and got into my car. When I turned on the car, the phone connected via Bluetooth to the stereo. Upon connection, the phone made a notification sound, but that sound had been changed from the default notification sound to one of my MP3s.

I have tried the volume keys, they don't work. I have tried the power/sleep key, it doesn't work. May 1, 2010I just got the HTC Incredible and one of the things I haven't been able to figure out is how to set incoming phone calls to vibrate, yet play the notification sound. None of the profiles seems to make that combination happen. If I switch it to silent, no sound or vibrations happen for calls or notifications. In the vibrate profile, both calls and notifications only vibrate. In normal mode, I can't get calls to vibrate only. If I slide the call ringer volume all the way down and slide notification volume up, it switches it to silent mode. If I have call ringer volume up one notch from silent, it still plays the ringtone. Is this something I can accomplish or do I have to have silent calls only if I still want notifications played?

Aug 17, 2010last night I got tired of waiting for the 2.2 update so I installed unrevoked forever, 2.15 radio and the third wave rom from adrenyline. After all that went smoothly I decided to throw the standard clock undervolt hydra kernel in there too. After I did that I got sporadic reboots and the screen became very unresponsive. Also it seems to cause the phone to freeze whenever it has to wake up to play a notification sound or alarm...
Now I have to say that I had the same problem about a month ago when I tried one of the older Hydra Kernels, but I figured it would be fixed with the newer ones. My question is it seems that I am the only one with problems, all the posts I read about these things are positive with little or no issues. Am I installing it incorrectly somehow? Is anyone else having issues too?
