May 23, 2010I did a search and could not find any new info. on storing apps. on the SD card. Is there a way to run apps off of the sd card with OTA 2.1 and not ROOTING? any way to store apps on the card and then load them from the sd card when you want to use them?

Sep 21, 2010I know that I can put applications on my SD card now that the phone is rooted (very easily using Liquid Frozen Yogurt). Anyways, what I was wondering is if I put all my apps on my SD card, what happens when/if I reflash my ROM? Will I have to wipe the SD card, reinstall the Apps and reback them up top the SD card? Or does it install once the SD card with the programs is inserted?

Oct 8, 2010Today I purchased a higher capacity micro sd card. There is a similar thread but no info on apps that are instaled to the card. If I just copy everything to the new card will the apps still work? Or do I need to move all the apps to the phone and just transfer my media, bookmarks etc?

Jun 13, 2010I am trying to move a couple of apps onto my SD card. I know you long press the app you want to move, and select the choice to move it. is TiBu shows the notification of it being moved. I then go back into setting, look at the apps on SD card, and they do not show up. I am running NexBeast FRF57 V0.1.1. My Titanium Backup is at version 3.2.4, I can reboot, still doesnt work. Superuser shows Titanium has permissions, so I am not sure what the deal is.

Oct 1, 2010So with the last few ROMs I've had installed, I've tried moving apps to the sdcard. I figured it would be a good thing, even if I wasn't running out of room. Every time I move more than just a few apps to the sdcard, my whole phone starts getting laggy. I just moved all of my apps back to phone and the "lagginess" is gone. I currently have UD8.0 installed, but it has behaved this way with LFY and Pete's BB ROMs as well. So it doesn't seem to be a ROM related.

-Shaazam - Displays song titles for the unknown - works awesome with i Music
-Sports Tap - has a great widget that allows you to just show your current fav team (i have bruins, shows live game score in widget and also sends alerts during game to your notifcation bar)

Feb 27, 2010I recently had to do a hard reset on my phone and everything was saved except all of my applications. Is there anyway to back them up so if this happens again it will take me 5 min to get my phone back to how it was instead of an entire day

Dec 24, 2009I have been reading this forum for a couple weeks and I wanted to get your advice on what mods/apps I should make/install first? A little bit about me. I am a Family Practice Physician Assistant and I also work part time in an ER. I have a few apps on it but rarely use them because it's not all that easy / quick to use. I also have an Ipod touch that I have loaded with medical apps that I will transfer over to my new phone. All of the apps I use seem to be available for Android except for epocrates - but according to their website this is coming "soon" which could mean days or months. I wanted to have ONE device to use medical apps and actually use as a phone/web browser, and since I REFUSE to EVER deal with AT&T, and I really didn't like the keyboard on the droid, the ERIS seemed perfect. And now that Verizon is running a buy one get one free deal, with my $50 credit from Verizon I will be getting BOTH phones for only $49. My wife will probably only use texting and the basic smartphone tools - calender, text etc, so she is pretty happy with whatever. So I ask you experts and tiral and error veterans out there. what apps should I get first? What mods/tricks should I do to the phone first? What has been the best thing you have done with your phone?

Sep 24, 2010I have a stock Eris and the other day my sdcard went corrupted. I learned this from when I got the new swype beta email and went to download the .apk. It told me a sdcard was required (I had never taken the sdcard out of the phone to being with). Anyways I brought it to verizon and the guy said it was done and gave me a 16gb card (8 was in there previously). So now I was able to download the .apk file; however when I try to click on it to install it says I can't because there is not enough space on Phone.
Now I don't know how much for it is required. But I have 14gb on the card available and 25mg on the internal phone storage. Now since uninstalling swype and trying to download I haven't added any more apps that would take up additional space. I've actually uninstalled a few, so I should have more space than I did before this whole thing started.
