HTC Droid Eris :: Keep Weather Animations While Using Lock Bot?

Any way to keep weather animations while using lock bot?
I'm living in Austin, TX. New to Droid ownership. Just bought an ERIS. My favorite standard feature was the large, Weather Channel animations. However, the rest of the phone was faulty and I had to have it replaced with a "refurbished" phone. Now the large weather animations have disappeared. Puny, smaller animations remain.Does this have something to do with Google's preferences. Can I get the more robust animations back?
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy wife really likes the weather animations with the stock Sense UI weather widget. However, she is running LP and cannot use that widget anymore. Does anyone know of a weather/clock widget that still gives you those animations that can be used with LP?
I have beautiful widgets currently, but it doesn't show the full screen animations like she likes (windshield wipers if it is raining, bright sunlight when sunny, etc.).
Do you have settings were you can have the weather animations play longer in the back ground? Do you have other options when the weather animations play besides when you swipe the lock screen? I am new to the Android world but I love HTC weather animations.
View 4 Replies View RelatedId like to turn the animations off. I went into settings and changed display to "No animations" and i even deleted the big htc weather widget, and added a smaller one thinking that may do the trick. but it didn't.
View 5 Replies View RelatedWhy doesn't Beautiful Widgets allow the weather animation on the home screen? The animations show in the 3 day forecast but not on the home screen. Are there any apps that enable you to change the clock and still enable weather animations? I hate the stock clock.
View 25 Replies View RelatedIs there anyway to turn these off? At first they was ok and neat, now there just getitng annoying and I'm getting tired of seeing after every single unlock.
View 9 Replies View RelatedWhen I unlock my phone it always shows the annoying HTC weather animations but I can't figure out how to turn them off. It's so annoying. I tried unchecking the option for full screen animations after unlock but it still keeps happening.
View 4 Replies View RelatedOdd question, but I can't figure for the life of me how to turn these off.
View 4 Replies View RelatedJust got my OTA this morning and very excited. One thing though, I now have the unlock weather animations and don't really want/need them, does anyone know how to turn them off in froyo? I tried the weather app but couldn't find it there.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI don't want to use Sense as my launcher or keep the stock lockscreen either (I use Apex and Widgetlocker).
*I just want a simple app that commands the HTC sense full screen weather animations.
Teslacoil was able to do it with HTC Sense 3.0 on gingerbread 2.3.3 and 2.3.4, but won't work on ICS/JB/Kitkat.
And after downloading almost all of the other lockscreen replacements, none of them have this functionality either.
No I'm not interested in beautiful widgets, Fancy widgets, or HD widgets animations.
Is there anyway to turn off the HTC Sense Weather animations? I like the widget, but I don't need it to animate windshield wipers to let me know it's pouring outside. I can see and hear that for myself. The cloud effects also clash badly with my background.
View 8 Replies View RelatedIt's hard to say when this happened but I guess I noticed it after the OTA update (not saying that is the reason, just when I noticed it). The weather animations when you turn the screen back on seem different from before. The demo animations aren't the same either, lightning used to cause white flashes, cold used to gradually build up, rain effects lasted longer (I don't even remember fog).
Am I missing a setting change? Was it always this way and my memory just sucks (very possible)? Did it actually change?
So since the 2.1 OTA my weather widget will display the city, but no weather icon. if i sync it manually, it will show up. with 1.5 it would update every 3 hours, regardless if i had Background data on or off (i normally keep it off).
so now with 2.1 it wont sync unless i have BG data on, or do it manually. any way around this?
I don't know what setting I changed or what I clicked, but now I got these clouds and fog animating on the whole screen after I unlock it. Im thinking it has something to do with the weather, because it is cloudy. Im not complaining, its cool im just wondering if its killing the battery faster, because its always doing it on every unlock.
View 3 Replies View RelatedAfter the OTA update, just got it yesterday, now the HTC weather app isn't working! The widget isn't showing any weather data, and when I try to update it manually from within the app, it says no weather data available.
View 15 Replies View RelatedIs it possible to turn off the sounds when the phone is booting? They are rather annoying when I don't want the phone to be making sounds.
View 2 Replies View RelatedIs there a way to have a weather program display the current temp, hi/low, etc. on the lock screen?
View 8 Replies View RelatedI just Downloaded Panda Home. And bought Marvel theme its ok. I was wondering which theme should i download. I know its down to personal preference but what would you suggest? I also am looking for a different Phone Lock i am bored of PATTERN LOCK. I would like a Pin Number lock Like the IPHONE. Also How can i make my own Themes. I'm Into Marvel and DC Comics
View 1 Replies View RelatedIs there anyway to disable the initial swipe lock screen and replace with the pattern lock? Seems silly to have a double lock.....the pattern seems much better to me.
View 13 Replies View RelatedOne of the things I liked about Sense (I'm rooted now and running the Second Wave ROM) was the HTC weather animations when the screen was unlocked. After installing Widget Locker, I noticed an option to turn them on and now I have them back! I also installed the Weather & Toggle Widget and installed the weather skin that looks just like the Sense weather with the flip clock. The annoying part is that when it's sunny, or partly sunny, the "sun animation" from Sense doesn't perfectly align with the Weather & Toggle Widget weather icon. I know, I know, it's a minor problem and goes away when the animation is done, but the lack of symmetry sometimes annoys the hell out of me.
View 1 Replies View RelatedAny way to get sounds with animations?
Example: Sounds on startup or sounds with weather animations.
Thunder would be way cool with the clouds/lightning or birds chirping with the sun.
Just wondering what you all think about the weather apps...
View 29 Replies View RelatedMy HTC weather widget (the one included with the flip clock) is definitely not updating. I've tried different configurations of the HTC widget, and they don't update either. A friend of mine is having the same problem. I even did a factory reset to see if that would resolve the issue to no avail. Anyone else having this problem?
View 43 Replies View RelatedI don't know how I did it, but some how I have lost the weather part of the HTC digital clock (the one that comes stock with the Eris).
View 15 Replies View RelatedAfter I got the 2.1 update, I'm missing the clock/weather widget that took up half my home screen. Can't find it in HTC/Android WIdgets
View 10 Replies View RelatedIt just randomly goes in and out....very annoying!
View 6 Replies View RelatedMy Weather App not working since 2.1 OTA. Does anyone else have this problem, and does anyone know about a fix?
View 5 Replies View RelatedRecent quirk - my Eris all of a sudden insists that the sun is shining at 9:30 PM, and conversely that the moon is out at 8:00 AM (times approximate). I go into the main weather screen, it updates, looks fine, I go back to the home screen, still way off. Eventually it does "match" -right now, 1:50 PM, the Eris says "intermittent clouds" and looking out the window what bits of sky I can see are mostly cloudy. But it is a bit disconcerting to be sitting at the baseball game, pull out the Eris to check the time, and have a nice happy sun staring at me when it is way past sundown.
View 24 Replies View RelatedAt one of my jobs I am forced to leave my phone in the car for about 3 hours. The temperature usually gets down to about 30 F. Will this damage my Eris, it is primarily the screen I am worried about. I've noticed the lcd performs a bit sluggish the colder it is. I read on another site leaving cell phones plugged into the charger might be a good idea but would that really keep the phone from getting cold?
