When I unlock my phone it always shows the annoying HTC weather animations but I can't figure out how to turn them off. It's so annoying. I tried unchecking the option for full screen animations after unlock but it still keeps happening.

Is there anyway to turn these off? At first they was ok and neat, now there just getitng annoying and I'm getting tired of seeing after every single unlock.

View 8 Replies View RelatedIt's hard to say when this happened but I guess I noticed it after the OTA update (not saying that is the reason, just when I noticed it). The weather animations when you turn the screen back on seem different from before. The demo animations aren't the same either, lightning used to cause white flashes, cold used to gradually build up, rain effects lasted longer (I don't even remember fog).
Am I missing a setting change? Was it always this way and my memory just sucks (very possible)? Did it actually change?
Odd question, but I can't figure for the life of me how to turn these off.

I have beautiful widgets currently, but it doesn't show the full screen animations like she likes (windshield wipers if it is raining, bright sunlight when sunny, etc.).
Do you have settings were you can have the weather animations play longer in the back ground? Do you have other options when the weather animations play besides when you swipe the lock screen? I am new to the Android world but I love HTC weather animations.

Teslacoil was able to do it with HTC Sense 3.0 on gingerbread 2.3.3 and 2.3.4, but won't work on ICS/JB/Kitkat.
And after downloading almost all of the other lockscreen replacements, none of them have this functionality either.
No I'm not interested in beautiful widgets, Fancy widgets, or HD widgets animations.
I think i turned it off accidentally, when i unlock my phone, i don't get any of the sun animations or raining animation or clouds, ect... how do i turn this back on?

However, the rest of the phone was faulty and I had to have it replaced with a "refurbished" phone. Now the large weather animations have disappeared. Puny, smaller animations remain.Does this have something to do with Google's preferences. Can I get the more robust animations back?

You do this in Menu-Settings-Display- NO ANIMATIONS
Doing this makes opening and closing apps, flinging through screens and many other things much faster.
You'll loose the cool looking transition when coming in or out of an app. But this is well worth it, IMO.
It's all about performance
Is it possible to turn off the sounds when the phone is booting? They are rather annoying when I don't want the phone to be making sounds.
View 2 Replies View RelatedOne of the things I liked about Sense (I'm rooted now and running the Second Wave ROM) was the HTC weather animations when the screen was unlocked. After installing Widget Locker, I noticed an option to turn them on and now I have them back! I also installed the Weather & Toggle Widget and installed the weather skin that looks just like the Sense weather with the flip clock.The annoying part is that when it's sunny, or partly sunny, the "sun animation" from Sense doesn't perfectly align with the Weather & Toggle Widget weather icon. I know, I know, it's a minor problem and goes away when the animation is done, but the lack of symmetry sometimes annoys the hell out of me.

View 12 Replies View RelatedI tried removing it and adding it back about ten times and it still won't show the weather..just says "my location" under the clock. If I click on the clock and load it, I can then click on the clock and it will load the weather screen, updated and all...but it still refuses to load it on the home screen with the time. Happened a few days after froyo update. How can I get the weather back as part of the clock widget??

I did not do a system wipe when going from 3.3.2 to 3.3.3 if that matters. Everything else is working but I can no long change the boot animations from rom manager.

I miss this dearly and always thought it made the UI look nice...What I mean is when you open an app the app kinda of like expands out and when you close one in shrinks away... I have the bootanimation/sound downloaded onto my desktop and can't get it any further than my sd card. This is totally different than jailbreaking an iphone(that was simple, just like the phone). But this takes a helping hand I think. so if I could get some help I'd appreciate it, my phone is stock, haven't even tried to root, too afraid after reading about roms and kernals to touch it.

We have been having a crappy snowstorm all day, and I keep getting the notification no matter how many times I clear it. It just keeps coming back every few minutes or so. And every time it comes back, it makes a notification sound and stays in my notification bar up top... also, it happens to be my text message sound, so it's driving me crazy.The only option in the settings is for Units of Measure.Oh and also annoying, the notification doesn't go away when you click on it to check it, like with messages or e-mails. You have to actually go back to your notifications bar and click Clear Notifications.
