HTC Incredible :: Turn Off Weather Animations After Unlock?
May 30, 2010Is there anyway to turn these off? At first they was ok and neat, now there just getitng annoying and I'm getting tired of seeing after every single unlock.

HTC Incredible :: How To Turn Off Weather Animations Over Launcher Pro
Sep 6, 2010When I unlock my phone it always shows the annoying HTC weather animations but I can't figure out how to turn them off. It's so annoying. I tried unchecking the option for full screen animations after unlock but it still keeps happening.

Jun 19, 2010Is there anyway to turn off the HTC Sense Weather animations? I like the widget, but I don't need it to animate windshield wipers to let me know it's pouring outside. I can see and hear that for myself. The cloud effects also clash badly with my background.

May 8, 2010It's hard to say when this happened but I guess I noticed it after the OTA update (not saying that is the reason, just when I noticed it). The weather animations when you turn the screen back on seem different from before. The demo animations aren't the same either, lightning used to cause white flashes, cold used to gradually build up, rain effects lasted longer (I don't even remember fog).
Am I missing a setting change? Was it always this way and my memory just sucks (very possible)? Did it actually change?
General :: HTC Sense Weather Animations On Unlock
Feb 17, 2014I don't want to use Sense as my launcher or keep the stock lockscreen either (I use Apex and Widgetlocker).
*I just want a simple app that commands the HTC sense full screen weather animations.
Teslacoil was able to do it with HTC Sense 3.0 on gingerbread 2.3.3 and 2.3.4, but won't work on ICS/JB/Kitkat.
And after downloading almost all of the other lockscreen replacements, none of them have this functionality either.
No I'm not interested in beautiful widgets, Fancy widgets, or HD widgets animations.

May 27, 2010Why doesn't Beautiful Widgets allow the weather animation on the home screen? The animations show in the 3 day forecast but not on the home screen. Are there any apps that enable you to change the clock and still enable weather animations? I hate the stock clock.

Aug 20, 2010My wife really likes the weather animations with the stock Sense UI weather widget. However, she is running LP and cannot use that widget anymore. Does anyone know of a weather/clock widget that still gives you those animations that can be used with LP?
I have beautiful widgets currently, but it doesn't show the full screen animations like she likes (windshield wipers if it is raining, bright sunlight when sunny, etc.).

May 24, 2010Do you have settings were you can have the weather animations play longer in the back ground? Do you have other options when the weather animations play besides when you swipe the lock screen? I am new to the Android world but I love HTC weather animations.

It dissolves after a couple seconds but it still annoys me. It only happens on the screen with that widget and not with other home screen pages. However, the rest of the phone was faulty and I had to have it replaced with a "refurbished" phone. Now the large weather animations have disappeared. Sep 27, 2010I am on my 3rd android phone, and the first thing I do on everyone is turn off all screen animations.
You do this in Menu-Settings-Display- NO ANIMATIONS
Doing this makes opening and closing apps, flinging through screens and many other things much faster.
You'll loose the cool looking transition when coming in or out of an app. But this is well worth it, IMO.
It's all about performance

Aug 27, 2010One of the things I liked about Sense (I'm rooted now and running the Second Wave ROM) was the HTC weather animations when the screen was unlocked. After installing Widget Locker, I noticed an option to turn them on and now I have them back! I also installed the Weather & Toggle Widget and installed the weather skin that looks just like the Sense weather with the flip clock.The annoying part is that when it's sunny, or partly sunny, the "sun animation" from Sense doesn't perfectly align with the Weather & Toggle Widget weather icon. I know, I know, it's a minor problem and goes away when the animation is done, but the lack of symmetry sometimes annoys the hell out of me.

Apr 14, 2014My friend had an HTC Desire HD and it impressed me so much i actually wanted to but it off him, even though its about 2x worse in specs than my current phone, but it has the most beautiful user interface i've ever seen.I'm talking about the HTC DHD weather unlock animation.I first noticed it when i asked the friend to make a call and upon unlocking the phone the screen froze over and it started to snow, it was pretty amazed by how good it looked, and how accurate it was since it was really snowing outside.Here it is. I think this is one of the best looking widgets/launchers i've ever seen, and i have a question, not as much as a request.I do know that this is "exclusive" to sense, most likely 3.0, but would it be theoretically possible to rip out the launcher/weather widget you saw in the video? I'm currently using a SONY Xperia GO , and i would like to port the needed things to it from sense (3.0?) to it. How do i do it? i've downloaded 20+ widgets/apps from the play store and didn't find anything ever NEAR as beautiful, or as functional. Most of the apps/widgets require you to click on the widget to see a weather animation, thats not what i want.
How do i port the sense (3.0?) launcher/weather widget? Is there an app that is as functional and looks similar?

I searched about nexus since it is similar and saw a few things about the app LOCKBOT, i recommend you atleast try the free version and see, it gives you unlock with the trackpad button and the ability to do custom lockscreen with different styles like Iphone, and different android locks. THis was one grip i didnt like about sense. Stock Android has the ability to swipe to unlock or swipe the other way to mute sounds, which is a nice feature, although i prefer my iphones switch the best
The bad...Ive read stuff about it crashing and being laggy, now i havnt experiended this on the INC, it runs super smooth. But i have been having a few times where the front button will not unlock the phone, maybe an update will fix this or something, but its worth a shot to look at.

Mar 7, 2010I am having a problem with the HTC Weather Widget not updating when I unlock my phone. I click on the widget and bring up the settings and check the "Update Automatically" I get a "Data Warning"- This may result in additional charges from your wireless provider. Enable automatic download of weather data? and I click yes. Yet it wont save and it keeps coming unchecked after I exit the widget. I even tried hitting now and I tried a soft reset.

Sep 10, 2010I tried removing it and adding it back about ten times and it still won't show the weather..just says "my location" under the clock. If I click on the clock and load it, I can then click on the clock and it will load the weather screen, updated and all...but it still refuses to load it on the home screen with the time. Happened a few days after froyo update. How can I get the weather back as part of the clock widget??

I have the bootanimation/sound downloaded onto my desktop and can't get it any further than my sd card. This is totally different than jailbreaking an iphone(that was simple, just like the phone). But this takes a helping hand I think. so if I could get some help I'd appreciate it, my phone is stock, haven't even tried to root, too afraid after reading about roms and kernals to touch it.

Nov 19, 2009I was working on a paper on my computer, and my Droid was on my desk charging. My girlfriend sent me a message on the computer saying she will be over shortly, and I told her to call me in case I don't hear her knock. So a long time went by, and I was like "wow, she has to be here by now" and checked my phone to make sure I didn't miss her call. I hit the unlock button and nothing happened. I held the unlock button to turn the phone on, nothing happened. I had to physically remove the battery, then pop it back in and it worked magically. At the time, I thought that it was just a fluke.
I was writing messages, e-mails, browsing, etc., before class and I put my phone in my pocket right before I walked to class. When I got out of class, I tried to unlock my phone, and AGAIN the phone would not unlock/turn on. This time however, I made sure this wasn't a battery issue. I made sure all the pins on the phone were making contact with the battery and it would still not turn on. I had to pull the battery out, and put it back in, and it worked immediately. (I am literally pulling the battery out and popping it back in immediately, no wait time in between). I have seen a few threads about apps freezing, force quits, random restarts, and I have none of that (I have never had an app force close). I am just wondering if anyone has had a similar issue? I don't even know where to begin debugging, since I haven't really installed anything in the last week.
