So for the past 2 days I've been getting a server error when trying to load "My Downloads" in the Market (Eris 1.5). Nothing loads and I get a popup that says: "Attention, A server error has occured. Retry, or cancel and return to the previous screen." It's also fairly intermittent, sometimes I get this error, sometimes not. I've not seen this before yesterday.

I was trying to root my droid and everything was going fine until my DM updater gave me this error "an error has occured! unable to contact downloads server http://downloads.droidmod.org/updater.xml". I'm good on my phone and computers, But I cant figure this one out. I've tried going to the droid-mod website and it seems to be down. I was just wondering if anyone else had this problem or am I getting this error because the site is down.
View 5 Replies View RelatedUsing appbrain on my PC seems to work fine when I'm not logged in. When I do log in and try to click on an app I get this error message:
"Error: Server Error The server encountered an error and could not complete your request. If the problem persists, please report your problem and mention this error message and the query that caused it."
Anyone else have this issue when using Appbrain on their pc?
Well, It looks like I solved the problem. I just deleted my account and created it again and it's fixed (for now).
I just bought this app and trying to download bugless beast and ultimate droid and both download for a while and just say "Error". I have full bars and connected to wi-fi. Tried boths ways and same result. I am on 2.0.1

View 30 Replies View RelatedAnyone lately get the Google talk authentication error notification repeatedly and find that they can no longer download apps from the Android market? Mine is going on the third day now and endless Google searches reveal that this problem has affected various Android devices worldwide, including the Incredible that just came out. I've tried all kind of suggestions but none work and there doesn't seem to be any official response from Google on the matter. I wonder if it is a hardware problem since these forums are not buzzing on these issues at all. In my case the phone worked perfectly for 2 days after activating and knowing how high the demand has been surely more people would be experiencing the same issues were it a device or cloud software problem. If anyone else has the same problems please post here.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI've been getting an error message all day. everytime I try to go into the market to update apps I get the message "A server error has occurred. Retry, or cancel and return to the previous screen." I can hit retry 42 million times and it will not connect.
I've rebooted, pulled the battery, cleared the cache, I even tried uninstalling the market updates; figuring that it would connect and I could re-update, but nothing has worked.
Some time ago...I estimate a week at most, I received an error when simply saving a file from my Browser, stating there was not enough space to do so. Knowing my phone had mre than adequate space, I presumed it was just an error with my browser.
Trying again with a different internet browser, I was met again with the same dilema. To make matters worse, I cannot permanently delete picture files from the default viewer on my phone. Queerily, I can delete them, only to have the pictures return hours later. To make my situation more unusual; Upon viewing the SD card mounted on my laptop, I can move, add & delete any form of files with ease. Even saving/deleting other files using different apps (Videobox, for example) gives me no hassle whatsoever.
One solution I'm willing, but at the same time reluctant to try is to reset my phone entirely to it's factory default setting (prior to backing up all of my SD card's data, of course)
Everytime i go to send a message it says sms error cause code 34 error class 2. i did a hard reset and it is still happening?

Two customers were able to purchase my app from a foreign country (Europe).
However, when I'm trying to buy my own application from the US (using my G1 phone) using a valid debit or credit card number, I consistantly get a "server error" during the purchase process. I suspect I'm not the only one and I'm losing customers.
What is the right structure at google to help resolve this ? In the market blogs, I've seen few posts of people facing the same issue but nothing to help resolve this was detailed.

Running netstat -an on the device shows it is listening on 0.0.0.0:1234, but my connections to telnet to <public ip of Android device>:1234 do not appear (and do not receive a SYN,ACK in response). How can I write an application which will open an accessible server socket? Is this possible? I am thinking that either the ISP (mobile carrier) may be blocking this incoming connection attempts or the Android OS is blocking them (host firewall)?

View 2 Replies View RelatedAfter the OTA I have discovered (to my frustration) that the email I have been deleting from my Eris is being permanently deleted from my Yahoo Plus account. I have searched here and all over trying to see if there is new settings or what but can't find anything to include the "don't delete from server" setting for the account.
With my other yahoo accounts (free) I didn't have the option to keep them on the server and accepted that as it was a struggle to get the free accounts up early on.
Keep the emails I delete from my phone on the server?
