Jan 6, 2010I installed handsent and I have double notifications now I did a search and did the reading but it no real answer has anyone found a real solution for this problem.

HTC Droid Eris :: Why Getting Double Notifications For New Gmail?
Feb 24, 2010I am getting 2 notifications for each new gmail I receive. One notification is the @ symbol and the other is the gmail notifier which I have installed. In the gmail notifier I have it set to use the gmail notifier icon (not Android 1.5/2.0 icons). My gmail account is not setup in the default mail client Why am I getting 2x notifications for new emails?

Jul 26, 2010Bet you are all thinking here's another idiot that doesn't know how to turn off notifications in the default android sms app?After installing Handcent I immediately disabled notifications in the default app so that only Handcent was generating them. This worked fine up until about 2 weeks ago when the default app started generating them. The option is definitely 100% disabled so I have no idea why it is still generating them. To make it worse even if I go into all messages with both Handcent and the default app my LED remains blue.

Jun 9, 2010I finally tried handcent, and like it very much. One problem, I did everything I supposed to do to disable the stock sms. I still get double notifications.Open stock sms, hit menu, hit setting, uncheck auto retrieve, uncheck received notification.What else do i have to do?By the way, I'm having the EVO.

Jun 8, 2010I just downloaded Double Twist and am having a problem. In my library it shows all of my music. However, in my music folder for my phone, it shows nothing. I have tried to drop and drag the music from my library to my phone icon and to my music icon under my phone and it never puts anything in there. I can't sync until I can get it to work. Feb 6, 2010After backing up my contacts to google, and synching with it, I now have two entries in my people app for just about every person. It's not a problem in the people app itself, since I have that set to only show google contacts now. The problem is in handcent, as it still shows both entries (phone and google apparently). I've looked in the settings for handcent, but I haven't run across anything for contact lists. Is there any way I can get it to just show one listing per person?

Feb 8, 2010I dl'd Doubletwist to my computer to sync music from itunes to my Eris. The first step of syncing music from itunes to DT was easy as pie. I literally dl'd DT in less than a minute and a minute later all my itunes songs (not too many actually) were in DT. DT looks almost exactly like itunes, except you buy your songs via Amazon. Anyway, step 2 of getting the music on to the Eris is NOT working. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. I'm using Vista, 64 bit, if that makes a difference.

Alright call me cheap, but I only have the $5 250 messages on my plan but it suits me just fine I never go over.Well i just got my bill and wouldnt you know I went over by almost double. Turns out more often then I thought I was sending blank texts and double texts. People weren't saying anything to me because they thought that it was just user error but when it kept happening people finally started saying something to me.Its not worth trying to argue with verizon over it, its like $14, so I will just up my plan a bit, but just watch it.For some of you its moot because you have unlimited, but for those that dont just thought I would share.

HTC Droid Eris :: Stop Phone Making Double Alerts When Get A Text
May 3, 2010I wasn't sure where to put this but does anyone know how to stop my phone making double alerts when I get a text? Because when I get a new text, Hand cent will post an icon in the notification panel and there will always be another notification icon next to it, I think it is the stock app doing that. Now I have set Hand cent as my default messaging app and I am running the 2.1 v3 leak.

Nov 30, 2009So iv downloaded some pictures from Dolphin Browser using Google Images. Now every time the browser launches, I get notifications that my image downloads are complete. Is there any way to get rid of them? I hit "Clear Notifications" but that's only temporary. Its not that big of an issue but it's kinda bother some and it makes my top bar look really cluttered.

Is it possible to have one tone for Yahoo a different one for GMail another for text messages ect.....? Right now the phone only has one tone for all notifications.
