I am getting 2 notifications for each new gmail I receive. One notification is the @ symbol and the other is the gmail notifier which I have installed. In the gmail notifier I have it set to use the gmail notifier icon (not Android 1.5/2.0 icons). My gmail account is not setup in the default mail client Why am I getting 2x notifications for new emails?

I installed handsent and I have double notifications now I did a search and did the reading but it no real answer has anyone found a real solution for this problem.

I haven't tried it and make no claims to its greatness.Gmail Notifier.It lets you change the color of the LED, vibration length, and gives repeat notifications. It also works for multiple gmail accounts I believe.

View 4 Replies View RelatedBet you are all thinking here's another idiot that doesn't know how to turn off notifications in the default android sms app?After installing Handcent I immediately disabled notifications in the default app so that only Handcent was generating them. This worked fine up until about 2 weeks ago when the default app started generating them. The option is definitely 100% disabled so I have no idea why it is still generating them. To make it worse even if I go into all messages with both Handcent and the default app my LED remains blue.

I have tried to drop and drag the music from my library to my phone icon and to my music icon under my phone and it never puts anything in there. I can't sync until I can get it to work. It's not a problem in the people app itself, since I have that set to only show google contacts now. The problem is in handcent, as it still shows both entries (phone and google apparently). I've looked in the settings for handcent, but I haven't run across anything for contact lists. Is there any way I can get it to just show one listing per person?
View 27 Replies View RelatedI dl'd Doubletwist to my computer to sync music from itunes to my Eris. The first step of syncing music from itunes to DT was easy as pie. I literally dl'd DT in less than a minute and a minute later all my itunes songs (not too many actually) were in DT. DT looks almost exactly like itunes, except you buy your songs via Amazon. Anyway, step 2 of getting the music on to the Eris is NOT working. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. I'm using Vista, 64 bit, if that makes a difference.

Alright call me cheap, but I only have the $5 250 messages on my plan but it suits me just fine I never go over.Well i just got my bill and wouldnt you know I went over by almost double. Turns out more often then I thought I was sending blank texts and double texts. People weren't saying anything to me because they thought that it was just user error but when it kept happening people finally started saying something to me.Its not worth trying to argue with verizon over it, its like $14, so I will just up my plan a bit, but just watch it.For some of you its moot because you have unlimited, but for those that dont just thought I would share.

View 20 Replies View RelatedI did the manual update to 2.0.1 this morning and just now realized that I wasn't getting any incoming email notifications for Gmail. I sent myself a test message from another account and it did not show up on my droid. i went into accounts and manually synced it and now all is well. So, if you notice this issue after the update, just manually sync your accounts and see if that solves it.

I did not make any changes to the settings and checked them to make sure everything was normal. If I go into gmail and click refresh I get a notification with all the new emails. It used to be instant, as soon as a new email came I would get a notifcation. Now they dont come at all... anyone know whats going on?
