Jul 10, 2010I am wondering if there is a pics app that will cover all my needs on my Desire. Currently running both the Nexus1 Gallery and the default HTC Photos. Both have good and bad points.
HTC Photos
Good:
-Only shows my pics, not the album art and ebook art stored elsewhere on SD
-Has a simple Facebook pics option
-Uploads direct to Picasa/FB,etc
Bad:
-No Picasa albums viewable (most of my pics are on Picasa)
-Cant multi tag pics (needed for doing bulk uploads/shares)
Nexus1 Gallery
Good:
-Beautiful interface!
-Shows Picasa galleries automatically
-Has multi-tag
-Uploads direct to Picasa/FB,etc
Bad:
-Shows EVERYTHING on my sd card, and has no option to remove pics/directories
-No basic editing options (crop,rotate,etc as the HTC app has)
-No Facebook albums display
HTC Droid Eris :: Is Incredible Good Replacement For Eris?
Aug 26, 2010Was just thinking about replacing my Eris, and was wondering if the Incredible would be the logical step up from the Eris. I like the Eris a lot but there ARE a couple things that I think I'm getting tired of. First is it's slow most of the time, and second, the camera is just not living up to my expectations. Anyone have opinions on this?

May 10, 2010Is there any way to select which picture will show as the photo album thumbnail? When I open the photo album the picture that shows as the thumbnail is hard to see and I would like to have another pic as the album thumbnail/icon.I have tried erasing all of the photos, clearing the cache and reloading the photos in various orders but no matter what I try the same photo shows as the thumbnail. Is there any way to change it?

May 7, 2010If this has already been posted i looked at the search windows to see if there where some related ones and didn't find any. i was wounding if there was any good SMS/MMS apps out there that don't make your phone laggy and is there a way to make it so like Chomp or Handcent comes up in Advanced Task Killer instead of stock messaging. in other words can i make it so my stock messaging app donesnt even start up and my Market app is there. also is there a good keyboard app that is better than the stock one and again doesn't make my phone laggy.

May 19, 2010I searched and searched and can't find a gallery replacement. I am using Aloysius 2.0.8 and the gallery isn't working due to the opengl fix that is included in the ROM. I need a gallery that will work!
I can't find anything in the market, and all the 'photo gallery' threads here are either one post wonders, or not related to what I am looking for. Does anyone use a non-stock gallery? Or does anyone know if there is a fix for the nexus gallery open gl issue?
HTC Droid Eris :: Launcher Pro Photo Album Widget
Aug 23, 2010I just purchased the Launcher Pro as this blows the old HTC Sense out of the water.However, I used to have a Photo Album widget when using the original HTC Sense UI.In this widget you could simply swipe your finger up or down on the widget and it would scroll to the next photo.Now that I'm running Launcher Pro I cannot find the Photo Album widget anywhere. I tried out the Photo Gallery widget but it doesn't have the swipe feature.
Anybody know if there is a way that I can get the old Photo Album widget to work on this or a possible alternative?

Found this topic on the Droid forum. I find it pretty interesting and pretty interesting that the Eris can keep up with the Droid and that no flash isn't as big of an issue as you would think.
Might change some minds if the flash feature is something you thing is big when deciding between Eris and Droid.

Mar 7, 2010Does anyone know how to update your photo for your contact when its placed on the home screen? Like I have peoples photos synced from facebook and it updates when I call the user but the photo on the home screen doesn't update. Am I missing something?

Feb 24, 2010Would any1 be able to reccomend some good media players for the eris? Ive been playing with the stock MP3 player, and likes the way it intergrates with the lock screen, but I find that it repeats lots of songs while in shuffle mode on playlists ><. I tried a few of the Meridian and Mixzing players, and really don't like the interfaces, and Intergration into the lock screen is a major + for me which neiither of these have. I guess what i'm looking for is something to replace my ipod 30GB (4th Gen?) thats slowly showing its age. That was the most user friendly, functional music player ive ever used.

HTC Droid Eris :: Touch Sensitivity Not As Good Since 2.1
May 18, 2010It seems like since the 2.1 install, the home button is not nearly as sensitive. Also the screen sensitivity seems lower as well. I have to try several times to get it to click. Is there a way to change the sensitivity??

Apr 12, 2010I saw a previous thread (Changing my contact card picture) where a similar question was never quite resolved. I have the same issue except that my contact card has automatically synced to my facebook and I would prefer to change to a different picture that is not my facebook profile picture. There's no option to do so under people->my contact card and if I go to a picture in my albums it only lets me set the photo for a contact that is not me.

May 19, 2010After the 2.1 OTA a lot of random photos were thrown in my photo album under separate files, I think one is named something like keyboard...and another one called icons maybe. They are just screen shots of the swype keyboard. I tried to delete them after I dl'd the Nexus Gallery (which is awesome btw thank you Androzoid) but they just came back. Has anyone else had this happen? I haven't tried to delete them yet straight from the SD card to see if that works. Is it okay to delete these or do they serve some purpose?

May 5, 2010When I try to use Sense to view photo albums for one friend, it shows that they have zero photo albums. The official facebook app does the same. If I use the browser to visit her profile, I can see her numerous photo albums easily, but damnit! I want the software to work like it's designed and this little bug seems so bizarre. As far as I can tell, the missing albums bug only applies to this one friend. I would be able to easily overlook the bug except that one friend is my fiancee.
