When using the stock browser, I am able to go to and see actual websites whereas using the dolphin browser, entering the same web addresses leads me to the mobile version of the website. I rather the actual website. I tried looking under the settings of the dolphin browser for a fix but to no avail...
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have been using Opera Mini 5 for quite a while now. It seems to load pages several times faster than some of the more popular browsers, such as Dolphin. Why doesn't Opera Mini 5 get some love? Could it just have something to do with the cache? Maybe the more and more I go into the website, the faster it should load?
View 14 Replies View RelatedI set Dolphin as my default browser. If I use the Google search widget, it opens up the stock browser, then if I click a link, it opens the link in Dolphin. How can I make the search default to Dolphin? What is the pay version of Dolphin and is it worth it?
View 43 Replies View RelatedIs there anyway to have the Dolphin browser bookmarks on the stock bookmark widget? I'd like to add and customize it but don't wanna jump between stock browser and Dolphin. Searched some other threads and could not find an answer that applied

View 6 Replies View RelatedI was trying to employ a tip I found on here which stated I could type my question in the "new thread" box and a quick search would be done to see if my question had already been answered. Must not be doing it right. As long as I have a thread made, I guess I will ask: Is there a fast way to scroll besides swiping your finger on the page? It takes a long time to get from the bottom to the top of one of these threads on my phone if I swipe it. Seems like there might be a way but I haven't run across it.
View 5 Replies View RelatedIs anyone else having trouble setting a default browser? I'm trying to set Dolphin as the default, but every single time I launch it, I get the dialog:
"Dolphin is not currently set as default browser. would you like to make it as default browser?
I click "OK", but if I kill the process, next time I launch, it asks me again. Also, if I check "Set as default browser" is the settings, that only lasts until the next time I open the settings (when it magically appears unchecked again). I believe I also had a very similar experience when I tried Browser and 1nternet.
Anyone going back to stock, now that it has pinch zoom? I think I am unless someone knows why Dolphin is still better. I don't see anything up front. When will stock sync with Crome?
View 24 Replies View RelatedI just got the latest update for Dolphin Browser. Seems like they made substantial changes. A quick test shows that it renders the nytimes and cnn websites faster than the native browser...so it appears to have sped up on my Droid. I'm wondering what others think of the new UI.

View 13 Replies View RelatedHardest thing I have found about the phone is making calls. What is the fastest way to make a call to someone in your contacts. The only way I see is to scroll through the contact list. Is there not search feature?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI've been having a weird problem lately. Whenever I open a webpage in the normal browser and click on a link, it opens up dolphin browser and opens the page in there. Any idea why? I'd like to continue using the normal browser and dolphin just as a backup.
View 6 Replies View RelatedHow many people will switch to the dolphin browser over the default one that comes on the phone. Now that the dolphin has pinch to zoom think I gonna change over to it. Anyone have pros and cons?
View 28 Replies View RelatedCan you make the startup page load on default? Not the browser page, but the page with bookmarks, google pages etc?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to use Dolphin Browser to access Gmail but it gets stuck at about 1/6 of the wait loading mail.google.com and then goes to a white screen. I tried in the native browser and it works fine. I also tried this with Xscope and same thing as Dolphin browser occurs.
View 11 Replies View RelatedNot really happy with the way pinch zoom was implemented and would like to go back to double tap.
View 3 Replies View RelatedSo everyone LOVES dolphin hd...the verdict is out for me...it runs very slow and sluggish..doesn't always feel clicks, doesn't always open bookmarks, and doesn't always recognize text fields. Now by always i mean 95% of the time.
My phone itself is running slow lately period. Launcherpro is maggy, widget locker acts up, swype doesn't always give me the red search dot, and other fun problems.
I am rooted with 2.2. No themes.
Just saw this in the Market Place. HEAT theme for the Dolphin browser supports pinch-zooming!
Initial tests show it works great..
My one gripe about the phone is solved.. all is well in the world again.
I am currently using dolphin hd, but it isn't playing flash videos properly.
What is everyones favorite web browser to use and why?
Marketplace thinks I have this application installed, but won't let me uninstall it. Rumor is that re-installing the APK file will fix it, but there is none to be had on the web. Anyone have the APK file for dolphin? It needs to be 1.2.99 (or later) because the package name was changed in that version.

View 30 Replies View RelatedI just found this on another forum and thought I would share it. It seems to be faster than Skyfire. Once you open it you will see the difference.
View 24 Replies View RelatedSeems like mine forces closes more than I would like. I downloaded the HD one for my inc. What's the difference between the HD and reg one? Also any other better or comparabers browers out there?
View 4 Replies View RelatedSometimes I wish I was Dr Frankenstein and could take the parts I like from all 5 major browsers and put them together into one SUPER-browser.
1. Stock Browser (full-featured but slow)
2. Dolphin HD (medium quick but weird bookmarking scheme)
3. Opera Mini (fast and great bookmarks, but no pinch-to-zoom)
4. Skyfire (all round probably best one, but slower than xscope)
5. xScope (very fast and light but lousy bookmarking and no copy text)
Anyway, I was giving Dolphin HD a shot because I like the way you can drag your bookmarks out from the left side. I actually like to have my bookmarks alphabetized (I know, NUTS, right?), but apparently Dolphin sees no need for this as they don't have any option to sort your bookmarks by any metric other than to drag each one by hand - a rough task if you have 200 bookmarks.
Dolphin does have this "Bookmarks to SD" add-on that will allow you to export your stock browser (universal) bookmarks to an html file, then import them back into Dolphin. Unfortunately, it somehow reverses the order of my A-Z alphabetized universal bookmarks so that they are Z-A in Dolphin.
I read on one of these threads that the Dolphin B browser was very good but I'm not sure, after using it, if it's any better than the browser that came on my phone from the factory. Any insight?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI just got around to re downloading it after Froyo and doing a master reset and its all different looking now.
View 16 Replies View RelatedEver since I got the Evo, I've been using Dolphin Browser HD -- the combination of tabbed browsing and great features make it an overall improvement over the HTC/Eclair browser.
Now that people are switching up to 2.2, are people switching back to stock for the much acclaimed speed improvements? Have people noticed significant differences between the new Froyo browser and Dolphin HD?
It is possible to block all the background work dolphin do with ads and the other unneeded service which use data and battery?
Suppose you leave dolphin open on a simple page while you are reading he is continuously using your system even if you don't need...It's really heavy specially for the battery.
The layout and options as auto Fullscreen are amazing but i would like it working as the stock browser without connecting in the background with the dolphin server without permission...
