I cannot figure out how to remove widgets from the widget list that I no longer wish to use. For instance, I use Calendar Pad and it came with about 7 different widgets. I use one of them. I'm never going to use the others. Dazzle is another, there are 4 different widgets that came with the widget from the marketplace but I only use one, never going to use the rest. I'd like to simply remove them. But can't.

I entered a friend into my contact list and added him to my Favorites widget. I want to remove him from my favorites widget now, but not from my contacts list. How do I do this? It keeps deleting the entire contact. I've edited the contact and removed him from Favorites group and I've gone into People, Groups, & removed the contact from Favorites but when I go to my contact list, he doesn't show up anymore. Why?! If I go to the Favorites widget and add a new favorite then the contact shows up again. But if I just open up people and scroll down-no contact showing up!

I can even place other widgets or icons "behind" it - likes its not even there. Right now, it is sitting on top of my Facebook widget and covers the top part of the box - the "whats on your mind" text entry part. How can I get rid of it?

View 13 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to use some widgets under com.android.internal.widget from my app. I found some basic apps like Settings use those widgets, so I think there is a way to import those widget into my app, but I can't find.
I'm using Eclipse under Windows XP, meaning that I have sdk only. To do the import thing, do I need a linux environment? I mean whole source code?
If I have the source code, how can I do that?
One more question: There are several activities in basic apps, such as ConfirmLockPatterm in settings. I want to use that activity from my app. I mean start that activity from my app. Can I do that? Since that activity doesn't have any intent filter, I guess I have to explicitly specify the name in Intent, but since I can't import any of those activities, it just doesn't work.
Has anybody figured out how to "delete all" news articles in the sense 2.2 news widget? The articles just keep piling up and the only way I can find to delete them is one at a time, which is very time consuming.

I set up BW to have that and then I deleted it and added Fancy Widget and I still get the unlock animations. Worked even after a reboot.

There's no phone number of email address or anything attached to it, so it's a completely pointless entry. How can I delete it? There's no option to delete it when I press the Menu key and "All People" is the only place the gamertag appears.

So yeah, I'd love to delete everything there but my local weather as I added two cities by accident pressing the wrong area and I could care less what the weather is in New York. Any idea if this is doable? I've tried holding my finger on it, looking under "menu", deleting New York from the World Clock app (widget? New to this kind of phone...) didn't help either, searching this forum, searching Google, and cussing. None of those helped.

This must be a first? I searched here and on google. This screen shot was taken while I was holding down the square widget so it would "hide" the dock and you could see the widget hanging off the edge. Is there anyway to delete it? I'm not rooted.
