Jul 7, 2010I have been using alouisious v 12 for quite some time and I cannot get my phone to send pics. I have installed like 5 different roms all with the same results.

Aug 10, 2010Whenever I try to send a pic via text message, it automatically turns it into a slide show. Then I recieve error messages "Unable to send, generic issue". All I want to do is send a picture via text.

Mar 21, 2010I can not send pictures via text message with the stock message app, Handcent, or Chomp. I had been using Handcent for the past 2 1/2 months or so just fine, it would send pics. Then all of a sudden about a week ago it just stopped. It just kept showing the turning green circle over and over until the sending failed. I updated it, I uninstalled it, I reinstalled it. I tried Chomp. I tried the stock app. None of them will send a pic to another phone or to an email. I can send pics to facebook with the facebook app. The stock email app will send an email with a pic attached however.

Sep 7, 2010So all of a sudden my Handsent is acting up, long time to open, wont send pics, but will send pics if I use stock messeges. Do I need to reset the entire phone again and start from scratch or is there an easier way to fix the problem with Handsent?

Jun 27, 2010I tried to send 15 pictures I sent through gmail. They never went through. It seems it's too large to send. I then just sent 1 picture through gmail. It still said it was trying to send it over 30 minutes after I sent it so I discarded it. Now I sent the same pics through text and they went through just fine. But how can you send pics through gmail? I tried to send it directly from my phone and it didn't work? I saved them to my computer and sent them that way and it finally did work but it took forever to add them to my email because the pics are so large? I don't want to keep trying to send them by downloading them to my computer to send through gmail. How can I send them through my phone? Are the pics just too large to send?

However, I've sent it over 10 times for the past two days, to two of my email accounts. I've also tried sending another pic.but nothing. When the Gmail app thing opens, everything seems ok, and I fill in all the info and hit send. But nothing is being sent.

Oct 11, 2010I just got my x a few days ago and have never had a smartphone (i'm coming from the Dare)...i was trying to send a picture in a text message today, and it sent it horizontal... i took the picture vertically...and when i attached it to my text message it sent it sideways. so i rotated the picture 90 degrees and sent it, and it was still sideways.... anyone know how to fix this? i take most of my pics vertically...and i don't want them posting to facebook or sent to my fam sideways!

May 19, 2010i'm trying to send pictures to my brother who has a BB storm. He claims that every picture i send him is very very small, and when he goes into landscape mode, it does not go full screen. At first i thought it was because i was using all 8.2MP and it was resizing the pictures to 50kb out of 1200kb, i would always see 50/1200, or 80k/1200kb and I thought that was why. then i changed the MP to 3mp and then i got it to say 800kb/1200kb but the picture still looks the same. I MMS myself the picture and it goes to a very small image when i send it to myself as well. Am i doing something wrong? is there an option somewhere that is forcing the pictures to resize ? i wouldnt say they are thumbnail size, but i WOULD say they are no where near taking up the full screen and it's kind of pointless to have 8.2mp and only send half of a screen via MMS. ? any thoughts?

Sep 28, 2010I've had my Captivate since day one and i love it the only thing that bugs me is that if i have a pic taking portrait anytime i send it or upload to facebook it automatically changes it to landscape view and the same when recieving pics i go in and manually edit the pics so when i go to my gallery it shows them in portrait but anytime i try and send it never fails goes straight back to lanscap anyone else have this prob?

But I do miss Windows Live since I'm a hotmail user (no switch to gmail comments please).My desktop gmail through the web is set up to "Send As" my hotmail account, but if I send a new email via my phone, it sends it from my gmail username.I did a search and it was inconclusive. Does anyone know of a configuration to send new mail with the phones native email as a "Send As?"If not, does K-9 only poll gmail or is it a live sync?
