View 3 RepliesI've had two HTC hero's on T-Mobile, and on my old one I used to be able to check the time I made or received a call on the 'call history' display. I had that phone stolen and got a replacement that is identical but running newer software, I think. All is great, except for the fact that it no longer displays the time a call was made or received in the history. I see this as a very important feature to have on a phone, so how can I get it to work properly? At present it just says the date - no time.
View 1 Replies View RelatedAnyone know how to see the time of call instead of just the date in my Hero's Call History?
View 2 Replies View RelatedJust wanted to ask if someone knows how to see the time missed call was made?
View 3 Replies View RelatedMoving on, my problem has to do with "Call-History". What I've noticed is that while I can see the phone-numbers of people in my contacts list people whose number I do not have show up as, bear with me, "Unknown". When I navigate to "Call History", (Say a friend whose number I don't have calls me). I can't add their number to my contact list. This is an increasingly frustrating problem for me. I'll navigate to the "Call History" screen and find that there's no way for me to identify what numerical-phone number called me. There will simply be the designation; "Unknown", while holding down on the entry (while the time/length of the call can be viewed). There is no way to add nor even view, the again, [Unknown] number to my contact list. Phones are ultimately communication devices, if I can't find a solution, well, I'm convinced that I'm going to have to down-grade from a smart-phone to something capable of recording and adding unknown numbers.
View 5 Replies View RelatedProlly a dumb question but I can't figure out how to update an existing contact using the call history. In the call history window I can press and hold on a call. This brings up the "save to contacts" option. Not sure what to do after that.
View 2 Replies View RelatedNot sure if it's a feature or a bug...but here's the scenario. How is it possible for a call to be in voicemail but not show up in the call history?

View 2 Replies View RelatedJust wondering if anyone else was having this issue or may know what could be causing it. Recently all my alerts in the notification area have their times off by 5 hours. For example it is now 8:22PM my time, if I were to get a text message now the alert would have a time of 3:22PM. The other strange thing about it is that when I view the text message inside the text messaging application the time is correct. I just noticed this problem the other day, but it's possible it began when I updated to 2.2 the earlier in the week. Any ideas?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently picked up a used Eris and love it. It's my first Android phone, and it works flawlessly--most of the time. My main issue is the volume settings. None of them actually adjust; my ringer and notifications ring at full volume all the time and my In-call volume is absurdly loud. I have searched this forum and have found many have issues with low volume. My problem is the opposite. I have tried adjusting the volume in the settings screen and while on the phone talking to somebody. Neither works. While adjusting the ringer volume, it just rings at the loudest volume all the time. My firmware version is 2.1.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI know I mentioned this in another thread, but I got to thinking about it. My return date is coming up (extended holiday return period) and I wanted to see if anyone else was having this problem or if it was in fact my phone and I should swap it out. My phone is placing my location in places I haven't traveled to or haven't been to in a long time. It is usually placing me ~200-300 miles away from my current location. I'm in Dallas, TX. Occasionally I'll unlock my phone and the HTC weather widget will say I'm in Dustin, Houston, San Antonio, and even once in Florida. Now, I can go into Google maps and let it find my location and it is very accurate. If I give it time the weather app will correct itself, but then later when I unlock my phone it will have done it again. I've tried using the weather channel app and widget and a few others. They are all having the same problem as they pull the same GPS data. Is this a problem with my GPS chip? I've done a bunch of soft resets, pulled the battery while the phone was off and let it sit for a few, pulled the battery while the phone was on and let it sit. Nothing seems to be helping. I just turned my phone off and back on and sure enough it reports I'm in san Antonio.
View 49 Replies View RelatedFor the past couple of weeks, I have been having problems with text messages on the Evo.For example, last night, I was sending texts to a friend, who replied back. His message said that it arrived on July 21, 2010 at 955pm.Clearly its not July 21, 2010, and when I sent/received the message, it was 630pm CST.I'm confused what is going on. Went to Sprint to have them look at it, they figured out the phone came from Best buy and wanted nothing to do with it, So, I'm here looking for answers.
View 2 Replies View RelatedDoes anyone know how I can increase the call history of Droid X. The recent tab only shows most recent calls.
Is there anyway to have a full history of phone calls?
I first noticed a problem when trying to launch the Weather app on my 2.1 equipped Droid Eris. Had it for about a week now. The app crashes every time. Things I have tried:
- hard reset of the phone
- remove battery
- reset Sense to defaults
- cleared application data/cache from weather apps
I was going to try this last one again when I noticed something very very weird. When I got to Manage Applications, and click on "Weather" it actually takes me to the application info for Quickoffice! It now seems like all the weather apps (and some others) are messed up. If I click on "HTC Weather Wallpaper" it takes me to application info for Visual Voicemail. " HTC Weather sync provider" gives me app info for Clock Widget. If I click on Clock Widget, I get info for Mabilo Wallpapers (app from store). What the heck is goin on here....
Any suggestions on what to try? I have searched Google and the various forums extensively and cant find any instances of other people having this issue.
Is there any update on the call and text history issue or is there an app to erase

View 4 Replies View RelatedI don't remember my DroidX always doing this, but recently after I hang-up from a call it shows the "Call Time XX:XX" in the center of the screen and I can't do anything until it goes away, which is generally 5-8 seconds. Hitting Home, Back, etc does nothing and tapping on the screen or the message also does nothing. Is this a setting I can disable? I can look at the recent calls to get the length of call if I need to see it, so I don't need the dramatic pause to give me this info.
View 2 Replies View RelatedSince the time I have upgraded to KitKat- I have been facing the issue of Call History. Every Time I miss a Call and I click on the name/number- Its asks me to select a default option of whoch way to open that entry , that is, through Dialer or through History. I tried selecting history and clicked on the "always use this option" but the same thing kept happening every time. After a few tries, I chose the other option and did the same thing and it again kept appearing... It looks like there's a bug in this and it never really saves my preference.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI just wanted to pass this along; You can take it for a grain of salt, but I came away impressed. I decided to make a call to HTC (the number is on their page, if you go to Support and "Hotline" the number is there) to discuss a few of the hardware/software issues that I, as well as others on the board have been experiencing. First off, my wait time was about 3 minutes. Very short, so that was a good start. I spoke to a representative named Jonathan (a woman). The topics I asked about:
1. Why Gmail messages do not show up in the "People" application under the contact's card who sent the email.
2. Some questions that I had about managing memory and the best way to exit a program.
3. The clock widget displaying incorrect time, and the new issue that appeared with the clock today (possibly brought about by some DST error).
4. What happens when you "Clear Data" from the RAM using the "Manage Application" menu.
I began the conversation, which lasted about 40 minutes, asking about the Gmail issue (#1) as that was my biggest query, but added on the others as the conversation went on. She did not know exactly what I was talking about, as she hadn't heard that complaint before. Instead of just saying, "uhhhh, yea, I don't know what to say" or try to spout off some half-assed solution only to get me off the phone, she actually took the time to look in some of their documentation, and when coming up empty, grabbed a new phone, set it up and tried to replicate the issue. At no point in our conversation did she sound like she was saying stuff just to "get by" or end the call. She actually sounded as if she cared......
Hey I think this was covered in a Hero forum but there was no good answer. Does anybody know why Handcent decides to not show facebook pictures from time to time?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI use Handcent as my SMS program. I try to delete all threads (I have test history) and it doesn't take effect. All threads are still there after it asks me. I have cleared data and cache's on both the stock and Handcent apps in my app manager. When trying to delete all threads with my stock program, my phone typically freezes up and forces close. Anyone have similiar experiences, have answers? I even uninstalled Handcent thinking that would clear everything, re-installed and everything was still there.

When i first got the phone YouTube worked fine, and then i started experiencing the following message. "Sorry, this video cannot be played".However i found that when i cleared my search history the videos would then play. For those that don't know how to do this. In the YouTube Application: Menu>Settings>Clear search history. You don't have to exit the application after clearing your search history but you may have to go back a page and then re-select your video. This has worked for me time and time again.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm a new Hero user in Taiwan.I have encountered an issue with the Call History the phone provides. It only provides the date, followed by yesterday, 2 days ago etc. However, I need to know what time I made and received the calls. I know the information is embedded in the phone somewhere but I can't find it. For example: I receive a call say 3:30pm and I tell my caller I'll arrive in 20 minutes. There is traffic, and I forgot when they called me. The phone will only tell me that they called today which is useless.second complaint. The phone does not tell me my talk time. Is there an application that tells me the minutes I have compiled as well as the time talked for my last call?I've tried downloading Exact Call Log. But it gives me this error message:The Application Exact Call Log (process at.ecl.exactcalllog) has stopped unexpectedly. Please Try Again.
