HTC Hero :: Call History Not Showing Time Of Made Call

I've had two HTC hero's on T-Mobile, and on my old one I used to be able to check the time I made or received a call on the 'call history' display. I had that phone stolen and got a replacement that is identical but running newer software, I think. All is great, except for the fact that it no longer displays the time a call was made or received in the history. I see this as a very important feature to have on a phone, so how can I get it to work properly? At present it just says the date - no time.

Does anyone know how you get the information of a call up ?
The time you made it, length ect.
When you press the call button it only comes up with the number and if it is outgoing/incoming/missed.

I've had my Hero for 8 months. Last week all of a sudden it has stopped showing outgoing or incoming calls in Call History. Pretty damn annoying. I can't see any obvious settings to change nor find similar posts.

My phone time and date is correct and in settings I have auto detect selected. All of my call history times are off by 10 hrs ahead?

Since the time I have upgraded to KitKat- I have been facing the issue of Call History. Every Time I miss a Call and I click on the name/number- Its asks me to select a default option of whoch way to open that entry , that is, through Dialer or through History. I tried selecting history and clicked on the "always use this option" but the same thing kept happening every time. After a few tries, I chose the other option and did the same thing and it again kept appearing... It looks like there's a bug in this and it never really saves my preference.

I want to add new Call Log records for the VoIP call along with the call logs for the regular call. How can I add new records to the existing Call logs content provider?
I want to add custom fields to the Call Logs like a session ID and SIP address(name@domain) field. How can I customize the call logs database?

I'm a new Hero user in Taiwan.I have encountered an issue with the Call History the phone provides.It only provides the date, followed by yesterday, 2 days ago etc. However, I need to know what time I made and received the calls. I know the information is embedded in the phone somewhere but I can't find it. For example: I receive a call say 3:30pm and I tell my caller I'll arrive in 20 minutes. There is traffic, and I forgot when they called me. The phone will only tell me that they called today which is useless.second complaint. The phone does not tell me my talk time. Is there an application that tells me the minutes I have compiled as well as the time talked for my last call?I've tried downloading Exact Call Log. I've been dealing with this for quite a while - I'm finally just getting fed up with it to the point where I'm actually doing something about it. I use GV exclusively probably half of the entries in my phone history appear as "unknown". Its also hit-or-miss if the contact's name appears when i dial out or when they're ringing in. Also, when me and another contact call each other back and forth several times, sometimes their info appears, sometimes they appear as "(unknown)" -- its baffling me.

I don't remember my DroidX always doing this, but recently after I hang-up from a call it shows the "Call Time XX:XX" in the center of the screen and I can't do anything until it goes away, which is generally 5-8 seconds. Hitting Home, Back, etc does nothing and tapping on the screen or the message also does nothing.Is this a setting I can disable? I can look at the recent calls to get the length of call if I need to see it, so I don't need the dramatic pause to give me this info.

Froyo 2.2 issue. When I am on a phone call and another call comes through, that person's Caller ID contact list name does not come up, just their phone number (even though they are in my contact list). This did not happen on 2.1...it always showed the contact name info. why or if there is a setting to change?

Yesterday I had a missed called. I wanted to check at what time this person had called me. When I clicked on the phone icon that's at the bottom of the screen it opens all my call history (incoming, outgoing and missed calls).
But it doesn't not list anytime stamp for any type of call. I click on the menu button and click on call history. I click on the menu button again and click on the View option. Then I select Missed calls. The time stamps just show the day. For example some of them say 3 days ago or Yesterday but no time.
The only way i'm able to see the actual time of the missed call is if I open that person contact card and view the history from there.
Is there a way I can get this information with out having to open up the contacts?

Can anyone recommend an app that will extend the vibration time when a call comes in and for notifications. I find the vibration strong enough (coming from a BB 8900, the Hero is twice as strong) but the vibration time is a little short for liking.

I am writing an application that calls IVR Systems. For example a Customer Service line where 3 or 4 options or the telephone number must be sent after the call is made. I don't remember where but I remember that if you were to put in comma's , it would be a pause so I am trying to dial a number such as "tel:555555,0,2,3" which should dial 55555 then it should send 0 with a pause then 2, pause, and then 3. One thing I've noticed with my HTC Hero (Sprint) is that I have a very short period of time to answer an incoming call before the caller is directed to voice mail. When I do answer the phone people are routinely telling me that it rang 4 or more times before I answered even though, from my perspective, I answered it rather quickly. Could this have something to do with using downloaded ringtones? Perhaps, while the phone should be ringing, instead, it is loading the ringtone off the sdcard.

Cannot figure out how to STOP Droid from redialing a BUNCH of times my last call made -- when I have the VErizon bluetooth hooked up.
Frustrating & embarrassing!
Suspected bluetooth getting "pressed" when stuffed in my purse - bur can't replicate (make it happen on purpose.)
Have tried changing settings - no luck.
Something about putting Droid & bluetooth in purse makes 6 redials +++ happen.

When I'm on a call and a 2nd call comes in, my phone doesn't ring or anything. Is there anyway to change this so that I know when I have a call waiting without having to look at the screen (which is usually pressed up against my ear)?

On my previous phone it had a "full lock" feature on it that when a text message or phone call came in it would show all stars on the screen and require my password before you could answer the call or view the text message does the hero have that option or is there an app I can download?
I tried the pattern lock thing it has but if a call comes through or a text message comes through it still allows you to answer and/or view the message without entering the lock pattern..

I use Google Voice (love it) primarily because of it's visual voicemail on my Droid. I do have a Google Voice number, and I'm trying to decide whether to set the Droid app to "make calls using Google Voice" or not.
I have no problem with giving out a different number, and my placed calls seeing the GV number in caller ID.
My question is, does this affect how the call is actually connected, from a quality standpoint? I tired a call both ways, and the sound quality seemed a little bit different. But then, I am an obsessive compulsive weirdo.
Is there any difference in call quality or routing between making a native Verizon call and a Google Voice call on Droid? (Like, does Google voice actual use 3G to connect to Google server over the internetz, then place the phone call?)

I am trying to search for a particular contact number in call log and in contact book of the android phone. But I found that the contact number are stored in different way in contact book and call log. For e.g. I have a contact number 9889880912 to search in the call log and contact book. To do this, I do the following: add a contact in the android emulator. When i write the contact number for the contact as 9889880912 , it automaticlly gets changed to 988-988-0912 The dash sign (-) are automatically inserted in the contact number. I saved the number. Make a call to this number from the emulator. Now, using my code, when I am searching for a contact number in contact list by 9889880912,it shows no result when I am trying to search by contact number 988-988-0912 , the contact information from contact book is displayed. However, when I am trying to search for 988-988-0912 in call log history, it is displayed. but when I am trying to search for 9889880912 in call history , I get no result. How can I get the contact search by 9889880912 in contact book.
