Mar 12, 2010So for the past 2 days I've been getting a server error when trying to load "My Downloads" in the Market (Eris 1.5). Nothing loads and I get a popup that says: "Attention, A server error has occured. Retry, or cancel and return to the previous screen." It's also fairly intermittent, sometimes I get this error, sometimes not. I've not seen this before yesterday.

Oct 14, 2010Moving on, my problem has to do with "Call-History". What I've noticed is that while I can see the phone-numbers of people in my contacts list people whose number I do not have show up as, bear with me, "Unknown". When I navigate to "Call History", (Say a friend whose number I don't have calls me). I can't add their number to my contact list. This is an increasingly frustrating problem for me. I'll navigate to the "Call History" screen and find that there's no way for me to identify what numerical-phone number called me. There will simply be the designation; "Unknown", while holding down on the entry (while the time/length of the call can be viewed). There is no way to add nor even view, the again, [Unknown] number to my contact list. Phones are ultimately communication devices, if I can't find a solution, well, I'm convinced that I'm going to have to down-grade from a smart-phone to something capable of recording and adding unknown numbers.

Jul 19, 2010I use Handcent as my SMS program. I try to delete all threads (I have test history) and it doesn't take effect. All threads are still there after it asks me. I have cleared data and cache's on both the stock and Handcent apps in my app manager. When trying to delete all threads with my stock program, my phone typically freezes up and forces close. Anyone have similiar experiences, have answers? I even uninstalled Handcent thinking that would clear everything, re-installed and everything was still there.

When i first got the phone YouTube worked fine, and then i started experiencing the following message. "Sorry, this video cannot be played".However i found that when i cleared my search history the videos would then play. For those that don't know how to do this. In the YouTube Application: Menu>Settings>Clear search history.You don't have to exit the application after clearing your search history but you may have to go back a page and then re-select your video.This has worked for me time and time again.

Feb 20, 2010Motorola Droid: On my downloads, I cant find a way to store them into my phone (I can view them), the way I view them through my browser, then pressing the "menu" button, and then "more" and then "downloads", and I view them like that. I also need to know how to rename them. I cant figure this out. I am not talking about my apps or widgets, when I say downloads.
I mean actual downloads. I tried going through my computer, and creating a folder to drag and drop into a new folder for easier access but apparently I cant create a folder that I can put on my home screen of my droid. I want to be able to put them into a folder on my homescreen and have them be viewable at my fingertips, instead of having to go through all those steps.

Motorola Droid X :: Downloads/Web Stalls Out?
Sep 3, 2010So I have a nagging issue that has been there since day one and continues even after being rooted/froyo'd/de-odexe'd/themed. Sometimes when loading a webpage (happens with all programs, xscope, stock browser, dolphin), the progress bar will move about 20% and just stall out. Usually retrying a couple times will make it load fast as it should. Right now I am on vacation and there is no wifi access here, so I am using Wireless Tether. I am running into the same issue with that...I can see the download speed drop to 0 and sit there...Not a major problem to just try and reload a couple times and it takes off. The real issue is trying to download a larger file (60 mb) and it will get halfway and stop...then I have to try all over again...and again....and again. I have GREAT service...full bars in 3G and a signal strength in the low 70 db. Sometimes I have noticed that while it is stalled out, the 3G icon will disappear for a few seconds then come back....any ideas?

Sep 23, 2010My installed apps aren't showing up in the downloads section of the market. Yet if I search for them in the market it says they are installed and I am able to update them. I read that installing a new app somehow refreshes the list so I tried that but didn't help. Tried the market doctor in TiBu that didn't work either. So then clicked restore all apps and after that didn't work I went as far as to wipe my phone and reflash my rom and restored my apps again with TiBu, still nothing.

Dec 12, 2009I noticed that after the update yesterday I am able to open attachments on e-mail. Prior to that I would try to open attachments and would get the mesage that retrieving file and nothing would ever happen. I also had to reset my login for Facebook. I haven't noticed anything else yet. On another note, a coworker just got the HTC with 1.5 Android. He also likes the software but once he saw a few of the features that the 2.0.1 software has he wants an upgreade.

Jun 12, 2010Just like I did to root, I followed this forum and DroidReview YouTube videos to install ROMs. I installed ROM Manager and downloaded a few (free) ROMs. I made a back up of the stock ROM or whatever you want to call it. For both ROMs, after it downloads, installs, and boots, it gets stuck at the Droid and Droid Eye phases. It goes from saying 'Droid', to the eye, to a black screen, and then starts it over and over again.
Thankfully, I was able to figure out how to restore the previous backup I made using the recovery/nandroid menus. what's going on with my Droid (or me)? After two tries, I'm guessing it's not the specific ROMs and something else is going on. All help is appreciated! I really want to get this sorted out! Thank you!!!!!
