As a Verizon wireless employee I get to play around a lot with the phone and today I found that the stock battery out of the HTC Ozone (which is a 1500 mah) fits under the battery cover of ourEris. It is a hair thicker, but it fits.

I have attempted to purchase from amazon the TP2 battery for my DINC. the first one they sent was the RHOD160, Part number: 35H00123-00M it was used so i told them i would like to replace it, they let me keep it and sent me, BTR5875, Part number: 35H0012-03M, so i told they need to send me another one since RHOD160 isn't BTR5875. So they sent me a 2nd replacement. So now i have two BTR5875's and one RHOD160. Will the BTR5875 batteries work on the DINC?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI use Outlook/Exchange as my primary contact database, so I only wanted to sync my DX with Exchange for contacts. However, before I was able to get to my Google account settings on the X to tell it not to sync Google contacts - it had already synced them. Now, my contacts are a mess because of the damn "linked profiles", so practically every contact has some trash from my unmanaged Google contacts. Old email addresses, dupes, mislabled phone numbers (work, home, etc.) It's ugly and frustrating, since I keep my Exchange contacts perfectly edited and managed.
My problem is that I can't figure out how to delete the Google contacts from my DX other than doing it one at a time. (Since I have over 1500 contacts, that would be a huge pain.) Is there any way I can purge these? I'm a power Gmail user, so I can't just delete the entire Google account. (Not sure that's possible anyway.)
This is the plan I'm under that my parents pay for. My sister and I want the evo phone so I guess we'll have to pay $10 each extra for it?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have 1500 pictures inside many sub folders in Picasa. I want to sync them to my phone (as reduced resolution). I was hoping the do this through Picasa web albums but you can't snyc sub folders. Does anyone have a suggestion on how to have access to these iamges on my phone? I could use a PC snyc tool if necessary. But it would be nice to have an automated solution that would "watch" a certain folder and its subfolders.

It was put on our bill, so it's paid for and I would like to pass some savings on to a member here. I only used this battery twice, two days. View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm new here and a new Eris owner had it now for about a week and love it so far.I've read through several of the threads here about the battery and best ways to conserve, and I've tried to apply them (and I appreciate the info I've been able to find here).I'm conditioning the battery now (fully drained/charged it a few times), have set the brightness down lower, turned off bluetooth & wifi, set email checking to 2 hrs rather than 15 minutes.My question is about the effect on the battery of using facebook and peep/twitter as apps running on their own home screen.I have each of these two on their own screen so I can see updates but is this more draining on the battery than instead just having the apps as icons and then opening them up (meaning does this mean they are open all the time and draining battery)? Also, I have 3 email accounts setup but set to check every 2 hrs. Would this be more draining than just 1 email that checks every 30 minutes?

The Seido one is larger and has a reputation, whereas the ebay one is slightly larger, but comes with the charger so that I can carry two. With the Seido, I would probably just do a complete replacement and not carry the extra. The ebay on is also vastly cheaper. <--not too big a factor, as if I keep the phone I will not cheap out on arguably one of the most important parts. However, as a colege student, the cheaper price is nice.
i searched and found nothing helpful...but i keep GPS off. i only check google maps (latitude) every now and then, but i always close it when i'm dunzo by backing out, and then task killing. however, under battery usage, my maps is at 87%, and has been for 2 days. what?!?! i don't even use it! wtfs it doing?
View 6 Replies View RelatedI was having major issues with battery drain on 2.1 (second leak) and after reading some threads here I removed the HTC battery widget. This appears to have solved the problem. Apparently the phone was not going to sleep when I had the HTC widget running. The awake time was nearly what the up time was. Without the HTC widget I do not have this issue.
Has anyone ran the Android Battery Widget on 2.1 and does it create the same problem?
I use to get a low battery alert warning at 15%, 10% and again at 5%. However, now I am not getting any alerts and my phone just display ready to shut off as I am using it. Is there a settings area that I inadvertantly changed? Has amyone else experienced this?
View 2 Replies View RelatedJust received my replacement Eris on Friday the new one already has the 50% without signal bug and has frozen up on me today several times.The battery is discharging at an ultra high rate and my Up time is 4:04 while my awake time is 3:58 as you can see not much difference between the two.I have killed all of the apps I can see in running apps and services.What could the problem be?I am a newbie.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI read a few threads about better batteries for the eris, and I though several people recommended the touch pro 2 battery, since it is 1500mAh. So I found a deal on an OEM one for my phone. Unfortunately it does not fit well. Although it is not much thicker then the eris battery the corners are not rounded so the back does not fit on all the way.
What do you guys think should I try one of the 1500 generics that say they are for the eris, or stick with my stock battery?
The middle pics are with the touch pro2 battery and the last is the stock eris battery.
Just saw this on Gizmodo, it's a solBAT charger for any USB device... it's a 1500 mA battery that pumps 5V through a USB hookup. It's not exactly a perfect solution to anything (especially since it seems like it would be most useful in a car, which is when you'd be able to plug into the cigarette lighter anyway), but still: you can essentially boost your battery using only the sun, and it's only $30... pretty cool!
Thought I'd post it here for anybody with environmentalist inclinations who's having battery problems... or if you're like me, and you're planning some extended hiking/camping trips for the summer, and were trying to figure out how you were going to keep your phone alive for more than a couple of days
I've noticed that for the past few days I have been experiencing lower than normal battery performance with my Eris. I checked the battery sonsumption and it says that it is the camera that is doing it. OK. So I force kill everything (reinstalled a task killer) and opened the camera and closed it again. I always exit an app with the back button, not the home button. Still the problem persists. I noticed that while it was charging last night that the camera was using 100% of my battery. So my conclusion is that whenever I charge my Eris the camera runs in the background even after I take it off of the charger. Is anyone having this problem?

View 13 Replies View RelatedI got my Eris aroudn the end of Novemeber or early Dec. Conditioned the battery as I followed on here. Now, the past two full charges this weekend haven't lasted at all. Battery draining super fast. I easily get 1 1/2-2 days on full charge, minimal phone useage/text/basic net. Full charge this AM, two texts, maybe 5 minutes total internet and now late afternoon re dlining and low battery level coming on.Defective, shot, or something else? I was getting very low awake time, now I see it is around 50%. I constantly use advanced task killer.

View 12 Replies View RelatedWell, it was bound to happen. Dropped my Eris getting out of the car last night. Sitting on my lap, forgot about it, stood up, and heard it hit the pavement. The battery door got some scratches, luckily nothing else happened.
Does anyone know any sites that are selling OEM battery replacement doors? I might try to go to Verizon today and see if they have one, (highly doubt it) because these scratches are killing me.
My battery usage shows 96% camera, 2% cell standby, and 2% phone idle in the last 8 hours since I last charged the phone.I haven't used the camera since Saturday (2 days ago) and it isn't running when I click on the application or running services.Also find it weird that there is no usage for the Android O/S.I am not rooted or leaked and am on 2.1 with the first update but not the second update yet and camera is stock. Any idea what is up and how to fix it?Battery life appears to be around normal with 40% left (usually get 10-12 hours).

I went to bed the other night with NOTHING RUNNING, NOTHING app killer killed tham all, no wifi no bluetooth no PUSH on my emails, Nothing.. 30% when i went to bed at 330am DEAD when i woke up at 830am.. WTF MAN... My Iphone Kicks this phones ass in battery life (Words I never imagined to Speak) Ive set it next to a coworkers Eris for lil over an hour with Nothing running on either and after the hour i had lost 12% and his had lost 2%... I bought It from an ebay store and they have a return Policy which im still with in, Should i return or do any of you have/had this problem and know a fix... Its not the battery, ive tried multiple Batteries.. oh and we both had the Same Widgets on our phones so its not those. Thanks IN advance... its nice to come from working for att to verizon now if the phones only didnt give me issues...

I honestly looked through the first 40-odd pages of threads in hope of not duplicating an existing topic but I gave up. Here's what's up. Got my Eris around the first of April. It worked great, even after the firmware update in May. First week of June I dropped it. It had its silicone case on so the outside glass didn't break but the LCD display inside did. Found an OEM parts supplier, bought a new LCD and installed it with relative ease. What I've got going on now is that the stupid thing won't charge. Took it to Verizon and the chick there tried to charge it with one of their chargers and it still wouldn't work. She had to send me a new battery since they didn't have them in stock there and it came today. I popped it in and it's got a tad more than half life left but it also will not charge.

So now im looking for a extended battery cover for it that has the same type of camera eye as the factory.
