View 13 RepliesI've noticed that for the past few days I have been experiencing lower than normal battery performance with my Eris. I checked the battery sonsumption and it says that it is the camera that is doing it. OK. So I force kill everything (reinstalled a task killer) and opened the camera and closed it again. I always exit an app with the back button, not the home button. Still the problem persists. I noticed that while it was charging last night that the camera was using 100% of my battery. So my conclusion is that whenever I charge my Eris the camera runs in the background even after I take it off of the charger. Is anyone having this problem?
View 10 Replies View RelatedI got my Eris aroudn the end of Novemeber or early Dec. Conditioned the battery as I followed on here. Now, the past two full charges this weekend haven't lasted at all. Battery draining super fast. I easily get 1 1/2-2 days on full charge, minimal phone useage/text/basic net. Full charge this AM, two texts, maybe 5 minutes total internet and now late afternoon re dlining and low battery level coming on.Defective, shot, or something else? I was getting very low awake time, now I see it is around 50%. I constantly use advanced task killer.
View 8 Replies View RelatedOk - so I took the plunge today and went to the 2.1 leak...installed perfectly thanks to Matlock's guide - LOVE 2.1 - it's awesome!Just have a ONE MAJOR PROB (and a minor one) - my battery is literally draining before my eyes!It will be at 80% and I will load the weather and maybe respond to a text and it will drop to 79%. Then if I just flip screen to screen - another 1% gone in less than 15 secs!!I have searched through the forums but haven't seen if there is a 'fix"I have build 2.26.60534 CL140744 - that's the latest, correct? My Minor issue is signal strength - I use to have 3-4 bars constant and now am lucky if I get 2 - again saw others had the same prob but didn't know if there was a fix besides the *228/2 -I have powered off - taken battery out - that gave it about 10% more juice but still declines rapidly as before.REALLY NEED SOME HELP ON THIS TO PROVE TO MY WIFE I AM NOT A TOTAL IDIOT (please keep those comments to minimum - at least til my problem is fixed) AS "SHE WARNED ME"
View 49 Replies View RelatedI tried doing the Airplane trick...I am not sure this is the 50% issue others have mentioned because when I go to view my battery statistics, it doesn't show the 2 lines of information like it did before (i.e, 50%), but my phone idle and cell standby are Both hanging around 36%...seems kind of high in my opinion.
View 3 Replies View RelatedCurious anyone's thoughts on letting a battery completely drain, before charging VS pluggin it in every night, whether its low or not? Does it develop a "memory", and thereby cut the usable charge down?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI was having major issues with battery drain on 2.1 (second leak) and after reading some threads here I removed the HTC battery widget. This appears to have solved the problem. Apparently the phone was not going to sleep when I had the HTC widget running. The awake time was nearly what the up time was. Without the HTC widget I do not have this issue.
Has anyone ran the Android Battery Widget on 2.1 and does it create the same problem?
I am using BB V0.4 with Chevys 1.2 ghz ul kernel. My battery meter has been on 100% all morning normally it drains much faster than this. I know there is a CHANCE my battery just isn't being drained because of the 1.2 ghz ul, but it seems pretty slim to me. I have been using it for probably 4 hours without it going down form 100%.

View 41 Replies View RelatedWhich battery widget do you fellow Eris users use? I saw that HTC made one, but I've been using the one that mPippin developed since I got my phone. It's nice that it monitors the battery and lets me turn on/off WiFi, GPS and BlueTooth or change my display options from one press.
View 10 Replies View RelatedDoes anyone else use this widget? its supposed to tell you down to the minute, what time your phone is going to die. ive been using it since last night, and the conditioning is still stuck on rough. does anyone who uses this widget know how long it should take to condition the battery? it says to fully charge and let it run all the way down, and im trying to do that but im also working on some side projects which requires my phone to be plugged into my laptop and consequently has been charging sporadically since about 2, and im worried that this is ruining the conditioning process.

View 3 Replies View RelatedSettings -> Applications -> Manage applications -> (scroll) Battery (or Settings -> Applications -> Manage applications -> Menu -> Filter -> 3rd Party -> Battery) The thing is 1.25 Mb in size, and has every system privilege under the sun. Honestly, why does a battery widget need to be able to read my bookmarks, browsing history, SMS messages, know my GPS location, yada? Compared to most apps, the thing seems pretty bloated, too - 1.25 Mb?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI had been using the HTC Battery Widget while on 1.5 and it never caused me problems as far as I know with being a drain on the battery life. Now after the OTA on 2.1 my battery life seems to have gone down drastically and I heard that this widget could be the culprit. So, which battery widget are you using with 2.1 that is "safe" on overall battery life?
View 12 Replies View RelatedI am stuck with this phone for another year. Finally got the cojones to root and not sure why i was scared but definitely like my phone much more. This sites been nothing short of the best thing i could have found for my phone.
Having trouble finding a good battery widget.
I forced froyo last week. and since this morning it has been draining so fast that if i take it off the charger its dead within an hour. just started doing this? any body else?
View 31 Replies View RelatedJust updated the Droid X, battery died, and I charged it to 100%. The battery is dropping like crazy. It just dropped 10% in 10 minutes of use. Anyone else? I have had consistently bad battery life on this thing.
View 19 Replies View RelatedMy girlfriend and I both bought this phone from Verizon last Friday. We both let the battery run down completely before charging it up (which I was told by the Verizon rep was the "way to go"), and we have both been experiencing GOD AWFUL battery life. Strange battery behavior has included (but has not been limited to):
- Battery going from 100% to 5% after 5.5 hours straight of browsing, playing games, etc., followed by the Battery going from 100% to 5% after 5.5 hours of idle (with light texting and a few quick phone calls mixed in). Seemingly no consistency.
- Battery draining down to around 30% after about 8 hours off-charger with light to moderate use (a few web pages, a few apps downloaded, and about half a dozen texts). If this wasn't annoying enough, shortly after reaching 30%, the phone suddenly took a nosedive into the red, and warned me that I had 5% battery remaining.................
When I go to "open" the newly downloaded HTC battery widget program it comes back with "will not launch". I uninstalled it ads installed it 4x now, nothing works. Am I doing something wrong?
View 11 Replies View RelatedThe problems I'm having:
- The battery is draining wicked fast.
- The phone is ridiculously hot like the radio is working overtime.
- And the screen is so sensitive that when swiping home screens the damn thing tries to go back, or skips a screen. In the browser if I scroll up or down with just one finger it tends to try to pinch zoom. And on the home screen when trying to press and hold an app it double clicks and opens it. The on screen keyboard many times just blips out when swyping trying to type one word and it ends up being 4-5.
So I tried turning the phone off and back on. No difference. Did the OTA update. No difference. I didn't even install any apps yet. But I did remove everything from my home screens to hopefully fix the battery life. No difference. I like the keyboard (miles ahead of the D1) and the fact swype comes stock, if it would only work correctly. Does every droid 2 have these problems? Are they all hot all the time? Are they all super sensitive? Are they all sucking battery at a phenomenal rate?
holy cow, since 2.2, my battery drains in like 4 hours. even in standby. is there some setting i should turn off? whats the deal?
View 9 Replies View RelatedAPNdroid is a great android app and comes with a widget that effectively turns off data but still enable text/voice. It's great for a day of snowboarding when you only need the essentials but need the battery to last! The battery was only at 75% by the end of the day for me. Check it out, it's a very high quality and professional app.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI just got a google apps account at work and added that email to my phone and now my battery drains fast and Google is the culprit according to battery status. Also seems like the sync wheel is on all the time at top of screen.
View 1 Replies View RelatedFor some reason my battery is draing QUICK in a couple hours goes dead, thinking must be some bad app? I deleted a few of the last apps I installed but it could be an update, wish it was easier to solve, but now Media is my number one battery usage, even after I uninstalled a couple new apps.

View 41 Replies View RelatedI have downloaded a number of widgets and apps.is this the reason? Im using Tajm, BattStatt, 3g Watchdog, DroidStats, Internal and external memory notifications, retro clock.Ive got all of these as widgets spread out over the 7 screens. Also guys if your phone was not used all day and locked how much battery would you say would get used?
View 22 Replies View RelatedAfter the ota update I went from getting full day battery life with pretty heavy usage to 10 hours. The update was supposed to improve battery life but it made it worse. I tried going a day without using home++ (home replacement app ) and my battery life went from 10 to roughly 36 hours!!! So if you are one of those people complaining about battery life after update like I was,and you are using this app try taking it off. hope this helps some ppl.
View 22 Replies View RelatedMy wife's phone has used almost 4GB of data this month and her battery has been draining much faster than mine, especially at night. Last night we watched in SystemPanel at the Net Receive indicator and it was constantly downloading at least 200+ kps. I had read about some issues with Facebook so we removed the Friendstream widget and saw the downloading go close to zero.
This morning, I checked the 8 hour monitoring in SystemPanel and saw that the CPU activity was still high overnight (running near 30%) and her battery drain was twice mine (over 13% used over ~7 hours, mine was around 5% drain).
I loaded up Spare Parts on her phone and was looked under Battery History, Network Usage and took this picture (sorry about the quality, her screen protector makes it hard to get a good picture and she is not rooted). Can anyone explain what UID 10006 is and why it is downloading so much data? I do not see it listed on my phone in Spare Parts. What do we need to do to turn this off or at least slow it down?
Battery life issues for me are over. In the beggining I would be happy if the battery lasted for 2 days. Now I can have my phone always on for 7 days straight, that is 168 hrs (when using very limited wireless data connectivity of course), thanks to Galaxhero and some other tweaks. But anyway, lately I've been doing some tests regarding Google Latitude. I suspected that Latitude was messing (not just) a little bit with the battery life. So, yesterday at 9AM I unplugged the fully charged phone that had the Latitude feature on. Result: at 5PM the battery was at 90%.Today, I decided to turn off Latitude (leaving the rest of the configurations intact) and unplugged the fully charged phone again at 9AM. Result: it's 5PM and the battery status is at 100%.
View 6 Replies View RelatedWhat is up with this program? Everytime I open task killer it shows Amazon MP3 as running.I have NEVER used Amazon MP3. Amazon MP3 came with the phone, yet my carrier won't support it ( cough Sprint ), they say call the application provider.I can't get a phone number to Android to give them a piece of my mind.I call Amazon and get sales people that don't want to listen and dump me on anyone they can find and are the wrong people. Why can't I get support? Why can't I uninstall Amazon MP3?I don't want Amazon MP3, not if it is going to run all the time and drain my battery.
