I get an email, phone will vib and sound, message icon will be in status bar, and LED will flash. i choose to ignore the email and every 5 minutes it will vib and sound reminding me that i have that email until i unlock the phone and clear the status or check the email.how do i make it stop repeating the notification every 5 minutes?

What is todo to stop calendar notification from repeating? Do I something wrong or why get I more than one notifications? I have en event with one our notification befor the event starts... I get the notification with the popup, after I read it I delete the statusbar entry (is this the fault?) After ~ 25mins I will get the same notification? I haven't used the calender so much before for notifications, but now it's the 3. time I notice this problem.

View 2 Replies View RelatedAny one know of a way to make a calendar event reminder repeat until the user cancels the reminder. Such that if I have a meeting and if I miss the first time that the notification goes off (I'm usually in vibrate only or I use very short very high frequency tones) I'd like the tone to repeat at regular intervals (say every 1 or 2 minutes) until I acknowledge that I'm heading to the meeting. Anyone have an idea for anything like that?
Blackberry didn't do this by default either and there was a WONDERFUL app called BerryBuzz that would allow you to customize notifications to the hilt. In other words different LED colors for each email account or for text messages (or whatever else you could think of) and you could not only have a different sound for them but when the repeating alarm went off you could also individually configure that alarm. Something like this would be really awesome if there was a similar app on Android.

I start a service in an activity then I want the service to stop itself after awhile.
I called stopSelf() in the service but it doesn't work.

I have an Advent Vega Android tablet and I only use it docked as an alarm clock and radio.
When on the dock it doesn't think that it is charging when at 100% it instead acts as if it is running from an infinite battery, and therefore the screen wont stay on, even thought I have "stay awake" enables in the settings.
Sometimes the tablet simply doesn't charge to 100% and stays at 99 instead which is perfect, is there a way I can make this happen every time?
i just upgraded from a motorola droid to a Droid incredible, and when i mount my SD card to my computer my computer finds 2 new devices instead of just 1 like on my moto droid. one of them is for my SD card and the other is just random files like HTC sync and some random music. so does any one know if there is a way to make it so that only my SD card will come up because that is all i really need.

I cannot find a setting to disable this! I get emails in the middle of the night and the phone keeps notifying me every 5 minutes or so until i clear it. I am using the "Mail" app that came with the phone and it is a regular email account, nothing special.

I figured out I needed to turn off the SMS forwarding in GV, but it turns out I like using the default messaging app more than the one in GV.
Is there a way to make the GV app stop checking for SMS messages but still download my voicemail? I don't want to make it stop checking all together but I'd like to use the other app for SMS's.
