I've been having problems downloading apps, and updating apps this past week. Uk T-mobile branded handset, updated to 2.2 a few weeks ago via T-mobile ota update. Also followed the noobs guide to force apps to AD, freeing up some extra ram. Just having issues updating programmes like
Opera Mini
Co pilot
Google Maps
And just tried to install..............

I have an application published in marketplace and its not updating the active users/number of downloads on the phone display or the developer console. My other application appears to be fine. Anyone else seeing this? Also when the application was uploaded over the weekend there were issues with setting the location targeting. I could not restrict it to US only.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI know that google market blocks protected apps from non-authorized devices like the legend and I've done lots of searching in this forum and other sites but could someone please reiterate: any timeframe for this to be sorted? Or what's the best workaround? Is there a site we can download apks for (example) layer and install that way? Or is it easier/quicker to mod the phone so it works in marketplace?
View 14 Replies View RelatedI have only had my phone for a few days and i'm starting to have some problems with downloading apps. At first I had no problems I downloaded 8 or 9 of them and they installed fine. Then I was not able to download anymore. Each one I tried to download said "download failed and did not install. When I looked at my status bar it showed 10 or 12 apps that did not download. So I did a factory reset and cleared everything out and started again. The same thing happens I get 5 or 6 and then the rest give my error saying not downloaded and not installed. So again I did a factory reset and tried again and came across the same prob. I got a few and then no more. I do not have a data plan yet. So I'm just using the wifi in my house. The ones that did not download i left them over night thinking they might get done by morning but no luck.

When I try to launch market place with id of an application say com.mybrowser.android by throwing an intent android.intent.action.VIEW with url: market://details?id=com.mybrowser.android, the market place application does launches but crashes after launch.
Note: the application com.mybrowser.android doesn't exists in the market-place.
MyApplication is my application.

How do i save apps from the market place to my sd card and not the phone.
i have downloaded quite a few apps to play with and get a feel for what each does etc, but not ive had issues where i need to free up space.
i have found that my apps go to the phone by default and not sd card.
just wondered where i change this, if its possible, and how i can move any that have already been saved to the phone?
I am having issues with my desire. it wont update to the new android market 2.07 or whatever it is. my wife's desire has updated to the new market but mine hasn't. Does anyone have or know where I could get the apk file?

View 7 Replies View RelatedThis morning I went into market and saw that 4 apps needed updating, 2 of the apps were on my SD card.
The 2 apps not on SD updated fine but the 2 on SD card forced Marketplace to FC. When I went back into Market the apps were in the process of updating and seemed to update and run.
However after rebooting the phone the apps were no longer installed.
It was at this point that I noticed Market had been upgraded to 2.12.
I tried installing the apps again, which succeeded but when I tried moving them to SD card it failed. I had to uninstall/reinstall the apps again and I was then allowed to copy them to the SD card.
I have now done a clear data and clear cache on market to see if that helps.
All my other apps are fine both on and off the SD card and I used to be able to update them on SD card with no problems.
Until I get another update for an app on SD I cannot be sure the problem is resolved but it does appear that 2.12 managed to break something.
Is there problems with the market again? I have just purchased an app and it is not downloading. Updates not working either. Just like the other day.

View 13 Replies View RelatedI seem to be having an issue with apps on my phone. Basically, over the past few days, I cant update apps from the marketplace at all. The market comes up tellling me there are new updates, when I go to download and install them, they all download fine, and then start installing, and then all of a sudden, it tells me installation was unsuccessful and nothing happens anymore. Its doing this for all apps I try to download from the market. Help would be much appreciated. Btw, I've got my phone set to install apps to mem card as default using the force apps to sd work around thing that was posted on the board.
